"hey how'd it go ?" i asked hannah as she got into the passenger seat.

today she had a counseling session & i can tell it's actually been helping. she carries around a squishy ball and she squeezes it when she know she finna get mad to calm her down lol.

"okay" she mumbled as she put her seatbelt on.

"grace wassup ?" i asked.

"nothing im fine" she said as she rested her head against the window.

"and you're not fine. we're not leaving until you tell me wassup" i said turning the car off.

"omg you always do this" she said.

"yeah cus you constantly think im stupid grace. im yo best friend. we grew up together and you think i don't know you like the back of my hand ??" i said.

"were you crying ?" i asked grabbing her chin making her look at me.

"no" she mumbled.

"mkkay, i got all day boo" i said picking up my phone.

"can we please go ?" she asked.

"yup, as soon as you tell me why the h*ll you came out here with swollen eyes." i said. she sighed and shook her head.

"im tired" she said.

"of ????" i asked putting my phone down.

"everything. im tired of being mad. but it's just like people don't understand me until i crash tf out. im tired of crying, im tired of hurting, all of it" she said exhaling.

"grace.. have you thought for just a second that you really do need those pills the doctor prescribed for you ?" i asked.

"no, im just an emotional person i can't help that" she said.

"but you're not tho loveyy. this whole crying & throwing stuff when you're upset ain't just start happening. ts came from the fact that you're emotionally damaged and it's been like that for so long"

"starting with the fact that you just happen to have nightmares as a kid. the same reason you such a menace & why you're always in protective mode" i said.

"yeah" she mumbled.

"you okay tho ?? yk you can talk to me and i don't want you to feel like you can't come to me especially when it's all building up" i said.

"yeah im okay, just taking it day by day" she said as i wiped her tears.

"well, can you at least try them. please ? i think they will really help" i asked her.

"mhm" she told me.

"good, don't cry pretty. being an emotional person is okay and it's normal boo" i said hugging her.

"thanks livvy" she said and i nodded.

"so, what you wanna eat ? on me" i asked putting my seatbelt back on.

"hmm lemme think" she said making me giggle.

"can we subway ?" she asked.

"anything you want love" i said. we went to subway and ofc they took forever & that's why i rarely get it but wtv anything for my best friend.

once we got home, i called juju cus she was sleeping before. it connected & i could see that she paused.

"aht aht bae get me off pause" i said.

"lol sorry, i accidentally tapped the pause button" she said and i nodded.

"wyd ?" i asked.

"nothing, just finished helping malia edit her yt video and ts is HARD" she said making me giggle.

"im already knowing lol" i told her.

"so did xavier ask my twin to be his valentine cus if he didn't imma cut his dreads off and beat him down" juju asked making my eyes widen. i choked on my subway cus girl.

"lol baby what ?" i asked laughing as i pat my chest.

"he did!!! i'll send you pics don't worry" hannah said.

"d*** bae you went all in on my dawg" i said shaking my head.

"just making sure" she said.

"what did yall do for Valentine's Day ?" she asked hannah. she looked at me and took my phone making me laugh and shake my head.

"he took me out to dinner & then we did a little movie night at his apartment it was so bc it was and romantic the flowers was so cute" hannah said excitedly.

"PERIOD! iktrrr" juju said. im really starting to think im losing my best friend to my gf but its wtv as long as they get along idc lol.

"so how was your valentines ?" malia asked me.

"good, since we're long distancing we just did like a cute movie otp. oh and she sent me flowers and i sent her a little basket & some stuff for bean to" i said.

"i love that! yall made it work long distancing that's an a for effort" she said making me giggle.

"thanks bestie! so like you and mikey ?" i asked.

"he asked me last minute, something about he uses most of his phone time for community service hours and Bible study and he forgot" she said.

"wait they still making him do community service hours ??" i asked confused.

"no, he's doing it my choice" she said and i nodded.

"period, i love that. and at least he still put in the effort to ask even tho it was last minute" i said.

"me too, and ofc i said yeah cus like what ?" she said making me laugh.

"as you should. cus ik a lot of men who don't even ask they gfs cus they don't want too & unromantic" i said.

"ouu you messy" she said making me giggle.

i picked up my phone and called liv. she did tell me she been doing extra training mostly tryna prepare her body for the big league.

OMG, MY SHAYLAAAA. she really leaving me cus like why ?

"hey mama" she said making me stare at her. again her hair is done & she was covered in sweat.

"BAE" she yelled snapping me out of my thoughts.

"oh huh ?? what you say ?" i asked.

"you okay ? you was zoned out" she told me.

"oh yeah, i um.. have nothing appropriate to say at the moment.. wyd ?" i asked.

she looked at me and chuckled shaking her head. she smiling and im so dead serious right now, got me ready to risk it all.

"lol, just finished training im about to head home wby ?" she asked.

"nothing just hanging out with malia. how'd your session go ?" i asked.

"it was good" she smiled at me.

"sunday, 4:30-6:45" she said looking up from her phone. i think she's talking to her trainer.

"boy fawk you, don't even do that" she said laughing.

"aight i'll see you sunday dawg, be safe" he said.

"bet, you too" she said as she walked out the door.

"bae have you seen them folks using you as meme talking about you wasn't listen to yo coach ?? ts tickle me everytime i see it" she said making me laugh.

"omg yes, and i was listening to her i was just so irritated" i said shaking my head.

"overtimewbb said when my best friend telling me a story i've heard 100 times already" malia said making me laugh.

"cus no way yall using me as a meme like that" i said giggling.

"funny as h*ll ma. hannah sent it to me and i was like yeah she definitely fed up. either that or you just wasn't listening & didn't gaf" she said.

"i was listening, don't dtm" i said.

"wyd ?" i asked.

"just made it home, im about to hop in the shower i'll call you when im done" she said.

"but why ? i done seen and had all that" i said rolling my eyes making her laugh.

"lol, cus yo ahh a distraction and im tired im tryna get in and get out" she said.

"yeah i mean i guess" i joked.

"horny freak" malia said making me smack my lips.

"wtv malia" i said rolling my eyes. while liv showered i decided to go ahead & plug in my new led lights cus i been to lazy to do it lately.

after struggling for, forever i finally got it cus like why they had all that tangled like that ? don't p*ss me off lol.

"ouuu cute lights" liv said as her skin was glowing.

"thank you, im glad you like them all the pain they put me through" i said.

"im in my room grace" she said.

"you're skin is glowing" i said making me smile.

"thank you my love" she said and i nodded.

"so i've noticed you've been a happy girl lately" she said making me giggle.

"yeah.. praying and putting my mental first. it's just crazy to me that it had to feel like ian wanna live anymore for me to realize that it's more important than basketball" i said.

"mhm.. but you're just dedicated and it's appreciated but yk the mental & physical health come first" she said and i nodded.

"omg, i literally have a big a** pimple on my chin. thank God for pimple patches" i said.

"lol, yo period most likely finna come then" she said.

"every month. sick of ts" i mumbled to myself.

"nah fr. it don't even take 5 days for me to know im not pregnant. all it need is 5 minutes and that's it" hannah said.

"ykw.. h*ll yeah" liv said as we laughed.

i took the time to catch with hannah and we've been talking about our sessions and how it's helping us. and liv looks like a proud mother it's so cute.
