i banged on xavier's door aggressively. we got practice today and finna be late as h*ll cus of hannah.

a few seconds later the door swung open revealing xavier who had his keys and gym bag.

"where's grace ?" i asked.

"she's in the bathroom getting ready for practice" he said.

"i have to go to practice so feel free to sit and wait for her" he said. i thanked him and he nodded before walking out the door.

"grace lets f*cking go bro" i said banging on the door.

"okay im coming" she said back. she open the door and walked out.

"why are you banging on the door like a freaking crazy person bro" she said as she aggressively grabbed her bag.

"because we finna be late fooling around with yo irresponsible a**. you promised me you would be ready and here we are" i said.

"omg we're gonna be late one time it's not that big of a deal" she said.

"coach ivey not gone put up with that slacking ish especially if she find out it's because of a boy" i said.

"d*** its already 9:50" i said looking at my phone.

"what time did practice start ?" she asked.

"9:30" i answered.

once we got to practice, me and hannah had to quickly put our shoes on. and then we ran onto the court.

"i do apologize for being late coach.. hannah overslept and yk it take her 50 years to get dressed"

"we promise it wont happen again, right Grace ?" I asked looking at her.

"yes ma'am, i promise" hannah said. coach nodded and blew her whistle.

"let's go, defensive drills" she called out. i could tell something was off with grace and she was definitely in her head.

"come here" i said grabbing her hand. i led her towards the locker room.

"i'm sorry i called you a dumba**. i rarely ever stress lol and i was all over the place. i just don't want you giving up on something you worked so hard for when you can prioritize both"

"you're only a sophomore and you're gonna go so far, but you gotta stay focused and keep going. don't let nb hold you back" i told her.

"it's okay.. i promise i will get it together" she said hugging me.

"good, come on no slacking cus we were already late" i said and she nodded. we ran back onto the court and not even 2 minutes later hannah was on the floor for a ball lol.

after about 15 minutes we got a water break & i walked to the locker room so i could text juju. ian text her gm cus again we were late.
