As we drove I watched the boy carefully as his hands gripped the steering wheel, I couldn't help but study the veins that lined his hands they looked like they had been sculpted by gods.

"Bambi," Rafe said looking towards my direction as we neared toward the Target shopping center. I hummed in response, still distracted by his hands. "I know it's hard not to stare at me but I need to know what to get you in here," he said a smirk turning his mouth. I blushed at his mention of my staring.

"I wasn't staring Powerpuff," I said pausing as he laughed "but more importantly just get something simple I'm a size medium so just do whatever with that," I said as he parked.

"No Marley I have no idea what to get I can barely pick out my own clothes," he said.

"Rafe it's easy just pick something," I said starting to giggle at the boy.

"Fine," he said rolling his eyes.

RAFE'S POV!

As I walked into the store I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I had basically studied the girl for the last week I knew what she liked and what she didn't but that didn't mean I knew anything about what girls wore, especially Pogue girls. I immediately walked to the clothes section eyeing the different patterns and textures. My eyes drifted to a pair of jean shorts, that were ripped in the front. She'd look so damn good in these.

No, no Rafe stop that shit, she's prized Pogue treasure, off-limits.

As I looked through the rack of shorts I grabbed her size. I had to move on to the shirts as I watched some of the girls shop looking at their choices. If I picked something like they did then I would have a greater chance of Marley not killing me.

The shirts were all different colors and I quickly remembered the way she looked wearing light blue and how it brought out her eyes. I immediately grabbed the shirt and walked towards the checkout. Quickly I remembered that I needed to grab the bikini.

I walked toward the swimsuit section eyeing each and every one. I couldn't help but think about her body and what would look good. My eyes drifted to a tribal looking bikini that looked similar to one I had seen the girl in before grabbing it. I looked down at the outfit while I couldn't help but daydream about the girl wearing it.

Now officially I turned in the direction of the checkout I saw the fridge in front of the register. I looked inside and noticed the Coca-cola. I opened it up grabbing the drinks reading the names printed on the side.

'Family'.

Tears welled in my eyes as I thought about my concept of family but I quickly shook it off. My eyes drifted back to the cashier as I set the stuff down and paid. The target was pretty empty and I was glad that I didn't have to worry about my Kook friends cause they would flip shit if I was seen buying clothes for a girl. As I walked out to the car I saw the girl through the window and I couldn't help but smile.

"It is incredibly hot in here Rafe." Marley said fanning herself with her hand as I opened the door. It was weird but I had honestly missed her while in the store.

"Sorry Bambi" I said sitting in the car. She was right it was incredibly hot.

"What'd you get me Powerpuff Girl?" she asked. I hated the nickname but I loved how her face lit up when she called me it.

"Well some shorts and this blue shirt as well as this bikini that I feel like I've seen you in." I said gesturing to the clothes in my hand.

"Wow not too bad for a Kook." she said with an eye roll. That eye roll damn it'd kill me. "So where we going Kook King?"

"Well since I must redeem myself for almost killing you I'm thinking a swim at the beach." I said nervously hoping she'd be up for the idea and thank god she was.

MARLEY'S POV!

"I need to change Rafe." I pouted as he wouldn't leave the car so I could change.

"Fine Bambi." Rafe said stepping out of the car as I quickly changed hoping that the boy wasn't staring but honestly I wouldn't even mind if he was. As I finished I stepped out the car checking myself out in the car door my shirt and shorts in my hand. I kinda loved what the boy had picked out.

"You look good Peanut." he said coming into frame of the car.

"I'm sorry did you just call me peanut?" I asked pushing his shoulder.

"Come it's kinda funny." Rafe said poking the sides of my stomach.

"Yeah says the boy who tried to kill me." I said giggling at him. I kept pushing his chest playfully suddenly his arms wrapped around my waist hoisting me over his shoulder. "Rafe, Rafe!" I screamed trying to wiggle out of his grasp.

"You asked for it Redfield." he said as he threw both himself and me into the ocean.

"Rafe your seriously insane." I said standing up pushing the water back away from my face.

"Tell me about it Marley." he said smiling at me I inched closer to him locking eyes. His hand slowly wrapped around my waist as he enveloped me into a hug. I felt his breath slowly hitch.

"What this for?" I asked as my head rested on his shoulder as best as I could although being so much smaller than him.

"For showing me how to live again." he said slowly pulling away. His eyes flickered down to my lips like they had almost every time we were together. "Marl-" he said as a wave hit us knocking us both off our feet. The same burning feeling that was familiar if you lived near the ocean returned as I tried to regain my balance quickly I was dragged upward by the strong arms of the boy. I coughed as he carried me out of the water.

"You gotta stop trying to kill me Cameron." I said giggling catching my breath.

"Maybe if you stop trying to die Bambi." he said carefully placing me in the car. I laughed slightly as I placed my clothes over the wet ones the water soaking through quickly.

"You ready time go home baby blues?" he asked. The new nickname made my heart stop but immediately recorded smiling toward the boy.

"Y-yeah." I said flustered. "Can you take me to the Chateau instead though? I don't wanna have to deal with my dad." I said shyly. I hadn't even thought about his outburst since this morning but quickly the memory flooded my mind bringing tears to my eyes.

"Of course." he said. He looked over at me noticing the tears as he grabbed my hand and I didn't pull away. He rubbed soft circles with his thumb I craved this so much and his skin felt incredible against mine.

As we arrived at the Chateau I saw that the Twinkie was missing and I was glad that they wouldn't have to see Rafe.

"Marley." Rafe said opening my door and grabbing my hand.

"Kook king." I said giggling as he scoffed. He continued to hold my hand as he walked me to the door. When we reached it he let go looking into my eyes.

"Being with you has been one of the best experiences of my life." he said as he brought a hand up to my cheek. And this time I knew I wouldn't pull away I wanted to kiss the boy more than anything. He leaned in slowly stopping to see if I would shy away but instead I pressed our lips together softly as I felt him smile against it which cause the same reaction for me.

"No fucking way." Kie said causing the two of us to jump away from each other.

"Don't touch her." JJ spat making a B-line towards Rafe.

Oh god.
