The door frame hit the side of the cabin with a loud bang.  I spun around and placed a finger to my lips.

Glaring at the kid I scolded, "Dude he is trying to sleep.  Be a little quieter please."

Caleb mouthed a 'sorry' and walked over to the fire.  He started to rebuild the flame; I turned my attention back to Bradley, slowly and carefully wiping sweat from his face.  I pulled back and stood up to grab my coat.  Wrapping it around my body a zipping it up, I saw Bradley start to stir.

A blanket fell off of him and my boyfriend's brother went to cover him up again.  Bradley's eyes slowly opened, "Hey man."

"Hi," Caleb responded in a whisper.

Bradley looked around the room, "Where is everybody at? Where's Sky?"

A small panic sounded in his voice and I gave a slight laugh, "Relax. I'm right behind you." 

"Oh thank God," Bradley sighed as he turned to face me.  I blew a fake kiss and a blush flew across my boyfriend's cheeks.

Caleb stuck out his tongue, "Y'all are disgusting, just want you to know that. Anyway, it's just us.  Dad's been gone all day."

"Where did he go?" I asked while placing my hand on Bradley's forehead.  He still had a fever but it wasn't as bad as this morning.

Caleb shook his head, "I don't know.  He's okay, right?"

Bradley crossed his arms and stared at the floor.  Silence followed for a few seconds as he thought of an answer. "I don't know-,"

His words were cut off by the sound of a gun shot ringing out.  I let out a yell and took a few steps backwards. Caleb didn't waste any time before he flew out the door.

"Caleb wait!" Bradley called but he didn't listen.

I tried shouting, "Wait, wait!" However he didn't listen to my words either.

Bradley tore off the blankets and stood up.  He started to cough and I ran to his side, "Stay here it's cold outside and you're sick. I'll go."

"I'm not letting you go alone," Bradley spoke.  I knew there was no way around it, so I simply nodded my head and we ran out of the door.

We followed Caleb's snow prints for a couple of minutes.  It was slow going because occasionally Bradley had to stop and take a breath.   The two of us continued to walk and soon something started to smell.

"Jesus what the fuck is that?" I grimaced.

Bradley shrugged and covered a cough, "I don't know but I'm guessing were close."

Just then shouting started.  It was only a couple feet away.  Bradley and I glanced at each other and took off running.  Soon we spotted Elliot standing in front of Caleb, arm outstretched in a protective manner.  Luke was facing them demanding if Elliot had done something to Richard.

Bradley grabbed my hand as he slowly approached the situation, "Hey what's going on?"

"Hey go back inside the house," Elliot commanded, waving us off.

"Is he at the cabin?" Luke asked, fear and worry laced in his voice.

I squeezed my boyfriend's hand tightly as I answered, "Uh-uh.  No."

Luke then turned his attention on Elliot, "You do something to him?"

At the accusation, my blood ran cold.  I slightly believed that Elliot could do something.  And apparently so did Bradley.  He slowly pushed me backward to where he was the one closer to his father.

Elliot didn't answer and Luke shook his head, "My English you don't understand?"

"Go inside, everything is fine. Just go back to the house," Elliot stated, waving us off again. 

"No, you're coming with me.  Everybody come with me," Luke said, waving us over.

I started to make my way over to the foreign man.  Elliot shot his hand out and pushed me back, "They're not gonna come with you. You're out of your fucking mind!"

Luke then turned to Bradley and started speaking in French.  Bradley responded in the same language, starting a conversation.

Something in Elliot clicked as his fist collided with Luke's face.  The man fell to the ground and Elliot threw another punch. 

"What the fuck are you doing!" I shouted.  I tried to take a step forward but Bradley grabbed me by my shoulders and pulled me back.

Elliot then turned around and walked over to the rifle.  He yanked it up, cocked it, and aimed it at Luke.  "Stop, Dad," Bradley pleaded.

Luke started to run away and Elliot never lowered the rifle.  He started to aim the rifle higher.  Everyone started to yell.

"Dad stop!" Caleb pleaded.

"Luke run!" Bradley shouted.

I turned to Elliot, "You're fucking crazy!" 

Still their father didn't lower the rifle.  The hairs on my arms stood up as he wrapped his finger in the trigger.  I jumped forward and wrapped my hand around the barrel of the gun. 

A shot sounded and it barely missed it's target in Luke,  only hitting a small log a few inches from his feet.  Luke continued to run away without looking back.  All of us sat in silence until he was fully out of sight.  "Get back to the house," Elliot barked.

Bradley grabbed onto my hand and started to walk. "Come on," He quietly whispered to Caleb.

We started to move but apparently it wasn't fast enough for Elliot.  "Now!" He shouted, anger in his voice.

"Caleb come on!" I shouted as I latched my hand onto his hoodie.

We sprinted all the way back to the cabin.  We ran inside of the building and into the back room.  We were all breathing heavily and Bradley pulled me into his embrace. 

"You're Okay right?" He asked, pulling apart.

I nodded my head and hugged him again, "Yeah I'm fine."

We pulled apart and Bradley walked over to the window. "Do you think he is okay?" Caleb questioned.  His tone was full of worry and fear.

Bradley took deep breaths and looked back and forth between Caleb and I.  No answer came and Caleb asked another question, "Where's the other guy? What was he talking about?"

Again no answer came from Bradley.  I didn't even bother to try and answer myself, because I had no clue what was going on. 

We stood in silence for a few minutes and soon enough Elliot came through the door; I felt my heart stop and my blood run cold.

Guys I'm writing another story!  I really think y'all are gonna like it.  I will post it once this story is completed.  Which sadly will be soon.  I know it sucks but I really like the new story I'm writing.  I'm not gonna give you the name because I'm gonna wait.  But in the meantime please check out Now or Never.  Anyway I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you in the next one!!
