"๐๐ข๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฌ for a midlife crisis." Damon opens the front door where Stefan is outside, fixing up a motorcycle. "164 years, I'd say you're due."
Stefan moves to sit on the motorcycle, "Elena's transition to vampire has been a little depressing. I'm gonna help her have some fun."
"Oh. Those who can't do, teach." Damon says sarcastically as he walks out onto the porch.
"Ah, I see we're still fighting." Stefan rolls his eyes, "Got it. Where are you going?"
"The hunter jacket Tyler of his werewolf venom last night." Anastasia says as she uses her vampire speed to stand in the front door, ready for school. "He's basically got vampire poison in a bottle."
Damon smirked, "And I'm gonna find him, and I'm gonna eat him."
"I'll go with you." Stefan stands up.
"I don't want your help. I just want to kill this guy and get the hell out of town." Damon said, "Wasn't that the deal? Whoever Elena doesn't choose leaves?"
Anastasia looks between her father and uncle confused.
"That was before she turned."
"And I stayed to help. If I take you punching me the first cue, I'm not wanted here anymore." Damon says, earning a scoff from his daughter.
Stefan sighs, "Listen, you blood-shared with my girlfriend, and I punched you in the face. You deserved it. Why don't you stop being dramatic?"
"No, brother, dramatic would be leaving before I kill this hunter." Damon says before leaving.
Stefan sigs in frustration before looking at his niece, who had a sad look on her face, "Ana-,"
"No, I kind of suspected it." She shrugs as she digs her car keys out of her bag, "I mean, he left me when he was forced to turn, left me because he was looking for Katherine, and now he's just going to walk out of my life because Elena chose you. I already told you, one of these days I'll learn that he has no intentions of staying in my life. He eventually leaves, and I'm surprised he's lasted this long."

๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ง at her desk in Alaric's old classroom, a frown on her face as she looks at the chalkboard with Alaric's handwriting on it.
In front of her, Stefan takes notice of Elena's face, sighing as he realizes that she's about to cry any second now, "It's the first time we've been back in Alaric's classroom....,"
"First period, and I'm ready to bawl my eyes out." Elena says before Rebekah enders the classroom with flyers in her hand.
"Morning, everyone." The blonde Mikaelson greets everyone.
"Morning, Bekah."
"Just like that, I'm no longer feeling sentimental."
"So, I'm throwing a little anti-curfew party at my new house." Rebekah says as she starts handing the flyers out, sending Anastasia a smile as she hands the youngest Salvatore one before walking back to the front of the classroom. "Starts at fifth period and goes 'til whenever. Spread the word."
Anastasia looks down at the flyer, reading over it.
Rebekah turns to Elena, "You're welcome to join, Elena. If you'd like to bury the hatchet." She hands Elena a flyer.
"It's a pretty enormous hatchet." Elena says.
Rebekah rolls her eyes, "Well, I'm feeling generous of spirit."
Elena looks down at the flyer, "New house, huh? Did your brother finally kick you out?"
"He didn't kick me out, I left."
"So, you left the only person on earth that actually likes you?"
Rebekah looks over at Stefan, "Well, your boyfriend liked me once. Actually, a lot more than once."
Stefan looks up at her, clearly not happy that he was being dragged into it as Elena looks furious. Anastasia can't help the small smirk that appears on her lips, bringing her hand up to her mouth to stop her from letting out the laugh that she oh so desperately wanted to.
"Why are you still in town, Rebekah? Don't you have anywhere else to go?" Stefan asked.
"Well, history's my favorite class. Actually, where is Mr. Saltzman...?" Rebekah pauses dramatically as Elena gets angier. "Oh, that's right, I killed him."
Elena loses her temper, throwing her pencil towards Rebekah's face but the blonde is quick to catch it, throwing it right back to the vampire doppelganger. The pencil impales her in the shoulder and she pulls it out, getting up and leaving before anyone could see what had just happened.
"So, are you going to come?" Rebekah turns to the hybrid with a smile.
"I'll think about it."

๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฆ at a picnic table with Caroline and Stefan as Elena paces back and forth in front of them.
"It was a valiant first day effort." Caroline tells the Gilbert girl, "No one will judge you if you want to go home."
"I don't want to go home. I want to take the white oak stake and kill her. That's how mad I am." Elena said, "She made me murderous!"
"Please." Anastasia scoffed, "She'll have your heart across the room before you could even blink."
"How about we just leave the murdering to Damon?" Stefan shoots his niece a look as he stands up from the table and walks towards Elena.
"And - and then do what? Ignore her to death?"
Stefan sighs, "Look, she's just trying to make herself feel better. She knows that everybody hates her, so she's trying to hate harder. Tell you what, let's just skip the rest of the day. Go have some fun. I feel like this day is severely lacking in fun."
Elena looks over at the other two vampires, one sending her an encouraging smile while the other keeps her eyes locked on her nails. She nods, "Yeah. Okay. Fine."
Stefan smiles.
"Then, we'll go to her party and show her that she can't intimidate me. I just have to go home and change girls." She waves to Caroline before leaving
"Does she seem a little off-balance to you?" Caroline asked as Stefan turns to look at them.
"Yeah, she's channeling all her emotions into rage. It makes her feel like she has purpose." Stefan said, "I used to do that too when I was...you know."
"Ripper you?"
"Yeah. She needs to come to terms with it, confront it, let it in, before she can let it go."
Caroline nods, "You're good at this, you know that? You saved my vampire life, now you're saving hers. You should write a book. Go on The View."

"๐ ๐๐๐ก'๐ง believe you actually dragged my ass to this." Anastasia mumbled as she got out of her car, catching up with her uncle and Elena, "I should've went to keep Tyler company. Sounds better than this."
There are kids outside of Rebekah's new house, drinking from a keg and having a good time. The three make their way to the entrance of the house and stepped through the doorway.
"Wow. We didn't have to be invited in." Stefan says, "I wonder who used to live here."
"Or who died here." Elena commented.
The three stop walking and see Rebekah as a look of rage spreads across her face.
"You're fixating." Anastasia says, looking around the house, "This place is nice. I might have to ask her if she needs a roommate."
Elena shoots her a glare, the green eyed girl sending her a sarcastic smile in return before rolling her eyes. "No, I'm just quietly hating."
A boy walks past the three with a cup of beer in his hand, Stefan compelling the boy and taking the cup, "This is mine now. Thank you." Stefan hands it to Elena, "Why don't you have a drink? It'll help you let go."
Elena takes the cup from Stefan and is about to take a sip from it when she sees April walking across the room, "April's here. I'm gonna go say hi."
"And we are going to find something a little stronger than beer." Anastasia tells her as she grabs her uncle by the wrist, pulling her with him.

๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐ฆ down the hallway of the hospital, wearing a large bandage on her neck as Jeremy and Connor follow her, the dark haired woman opening a door to the supply closet and walks in.
"That's her." Jeremy says.
"Stay here." Connor walks past Jeremy and enters the supply storeroom, finding that Meredith was already gone, but he turns when he senses someone in the room. "Is a hospital really the best place for a germaphobe?"
Anastasia walks out from behind a rack of medical supplies, "Did I say that I was a germaphobe? Pft, sorry, I meant vampire."
Connor pulls out a gun to shoot the hybrid, but is struck by an arrow. He drops the gun and bends down to pick it up. When he does that, he's shot by another arrow. Looking at both of them, he sees that they are attached to the claymore bombs that were once in his trailer.
"Stings, doesn't it?" Damon walks in the room.
Connor attempts to grab his gun again, but someone kicks it out of the way, looking up to see Klaus.
"Hello, mate."
Damon rolls his eyes, turning to his daughter. "You called Klaus?"
"Sure did."

"๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐ง up, buddy." Damon says as Connor is attempting to pull the arrow from his side, "We'll be scraping you off the ceiling."
"The three of you are going to kill me anyway."
"Well, let's not be too hasty. I feel like we're just getting to know each other!" Klaus says.
"Let's start with the basics. Where are you from? What do you know?" Anastasia asked in a teasing tone, leaning into Klaus' side.
"Maybe you can cue me in on this "greater evil", because I've fought this guy-," Damon points to Klaus, "-and there's nothing more evil than that." He hands Klaus the letter Pastor Young had written to his daughter.
Klaus smiles in amusement, "Yeah, truth be told, I'm as evil as it gets. Well, Anastasia is pretty scary when you mess with the people that she loves. Her specialty? Ripping your heart straight from your chest."
Anastasia smiles widely, "He's right. It's my most favorite thing to do."
"I'm not telling you anything. And - if you think if you kill me, it's gonna be over - there's another waiting to take my place." Connor tells him.
"See, this is what I like to hear; vague threats, ominous prophecies, disappearing tattoos." Damon says.
The smirk on Klaus' face drops, "What do you mean, tattoos?"
"Don't bother, you can't see the damn thing." Damon tells him.
Klaus kneels down next to the hunter, "There's more to you than meets the eye, isn't there?"
Connor looks at him, attempting to stake the original hybrid, but Klaus is quicker and catches his arm.
"Nice try, but I'm faster than your average vampire." Klaus twists his arm, grabbing the stake out of his hand, recognizing the markings, "Little Warrior, does this look familiar to you?"
Anastasia raises an eyebrow at his question but looks at the stake, her face pailing at the sight of the familiar markings that she had been told about, looking up at Connor in shock, "You're one of the five."
Damon looks at his daughter in confusion, "The what?"
"And I'm faster than your average hunter."
Damon sees that Connor is about to pull the strings to the bomb and grabs his daughter, rushing out of the the room as he leaves Klaus and Connor behind.
The bomb explodes and the father and daughter is thrown through the air, landing face down on the floor outside of the room.

"So, the sniper was inside?" Carol asked.
"Yep, still is." Damon says, "In tiny little pieces."
"Good. I'll cancel the curfew and call off the extra patrols." Carol tells him, "I can't say I approve of your methods...,"
Damon smirked, "I'll give a donation. You can name a wing after me, Mayor." Damon walks into the waiting room where his daughter and Jeremy were.
"See? I told you I could be a badass!" Jeremy tells him.
"Shh, badasses don't say that." Damon tells him before spotting Meredith, "Doc!"
"I was a badass, right?" Jeremy looks down at the green eyed girl standing next to him.
"Oh, Jer, he's right. Badasses don't call themselves badasses. But 'A' for effort." Anastasia pats him on the chest before she walks away.
"I was a badass!"
"Keep telling yourself that, Gilbert!"
Jeremy has a pout on his face now, mumbling under his breath, "I was a badass."

"๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฆ been one long ass day!" Anastasia throws herself onto her bed, phone pressed against her ear.
Kol chuckles from the other end, "I'm sure you're just being overdramatic, darling."
Anastasia rolls her eyes, moving so that she was leaning up against the headboard of her bed. "When are you coming back?"
"I don't know. I'm having the time of my life here in New York." Kol tells her, "I've grown quite close with your boy Dylan."
"Oh, God." She groaned, "The two of you in the same state, let alone with each other, is a disaster just waiting to happen."
Another chuckle leaves Mikaelson's lips, "I promise, we aren't getting into trouble. Well, maybe just a little. Anyway, I'll be back before you know it. I'm tying up some loose ends."
"Well, whenever you come back, tell Dylan to bring his ass back as well."
"Will do, darling."
