❝𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 John Gilbert? That was your big "Save Elena" move? ❞ Damon asked his brother as they stood in Stefan's bedroom, Anastasia sitting on the bed.

"I went to go look for Isobel, and I get John instead. He said he can help us, and we're desperate."

"We're not desperate, Stefan. The guy tried to barbecue me and my daughter!" Damon exclaimed.

"Damon, Bonnie's new witch friend is working with Elijah, so we have to assume that the moonstone was never destroyed." Stefan says, "Elena is putting all of her faith into some deal she made with Elijah? I don't trust him. He's an Original, he can't be trusted. It's not like we can just go up and kill him, because apparently, he can't die!"

"I'm still waiting for the part where John Gilbert is the answer."

"Me too." Anastasia raised her hand.

"He knew about the sacrifice, Isobel told him. He said he knew of a way to keep Elena safe." Stefan tells his brother.

"And how do we do that?" Anastasia asked her uncle.

"He's not talking." Stefan told them, "At least not to me anyway."

"Great work, Stefan. Top notch. As if I didn't have enough problems."

"Hey, I'm sorry about Rose." Stefan tells his brother.

"Whatever. I knew the woman for five minutes."

"And you cared about her after five minutes. I wonder what that means?"

"Rose wold have made a great step-mom." Anastasia smirked at her father.

"You, hush." Damon tells his daughter, "It means I care, Stefan. It means that I'm changing, evolving into a man capable of greatness. Better watch your back, because I man just have to go get a hero-hairdo of my own, and steal your thunder."

"Please don't get the same haircut as Uncle Stefan!" Anastasia quickly chases after her father.

"WHERE'S JOHN?" DAMON walks into Elena's house as she opened the door.

"He's not here, he left." Elena followed after the vampire, "I don't know where he went. He just blew in, announced to Jenna that he's my dad, and then took off."

"That's public knowledge now?" Damon turned to Elena with a confused look on his face.

Elena shrugs, "Apparently."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Jenna's head is spinning, but I'm okay." Elena says as she picks her cup up from the table.

"He say what he was doing here?"

"No. You know, Stefan thinks that he's telling the truth about wanting to help me." Elena said to Damon.

"Do you believe him?"

"No, I don't believe him for a second."

"Me either."

"What are we going to do?" Asked Elena.

"Kill him." Damon says as he turns to leave.

"Damon....,"

"I'm joking. Okay, I'm a little serious."

"Damon!"

"I'm not gonna hurt him, Elena." Damon gives her a little smirk, "I'm the good guy now, remember?"

"What does that mean?"

"I'm gonna have a civil conversation with your father." Damon said.

"Wait, I'm coming with you!" Elena follows him out of the door.

"JEREMY, THERE YOU ARE." John stops his nephew as he walks by him.

"Looks like I slept through the homecoming." Jeremy says.

"You didn't miss much. Let's say that no one's happy to see me would be an understatement." John tells him.

"Look, things are different now. You can't come around and start up with all this anti-vampire stuff." Jeremy said, "Especially, not after almost killing my girlfriend and her dad."

"I have no intention of doing that, or kill your girlfriend again." John looks down at the ring that Jeremy wore on his finger, "How's that ring been treating you?"

"Look, if this is hat you came for, just take it and go." Jeremy holds the ring out to his uncle.

"What kind of man would I be if I took that from you? You want to go grab lunch?"

Jeremy scoffs quietly before noticing his girlfriend listening from a bit away, "I think I'll pass."

"What was that about?" Anastasia asks as she walks to her boyfriend, looping an arm around one of his.

"I have no fucking clue." Jeremy shakes his head, "Do you know why he's here?"

"Katherine told Uncle Stefan to look for Isobel when he was stuck with her in the tomb. But instead, he found your Uncle John. Says he's here to help protect Elena from Klaus."

"SO, JOHN. RUMOR has it that you know a lot, and won't say anything." Damon walks up to John with his daughter following behind him while the Gilbert man lit a candle.

"How do I know you both can be trusted, Damon? Originals can compel vampires. And, according to Stefan, that's why Katherine's still in the tomb because an Original has compelled er to stay there."

"Only because all of the vervain had left her system. Stefan, Anastasia, and I, on the other hand, are chock full?"

John looks between the father and daughter in shock, "You guys are drinking vervain?"

"I've been drinking it for years, while they've only just started." Anastasia shrugged.

"It's an acquired taste. I don't see that magic little ring on your stitched finger, so if you know something about Klaus, you better start talking, or I will kill you in your sleep." Damon whispers the last pat in John's ear.

"Is that any way to convince me that you and I are on the same side? First, I need to know that I can trust you, Damon, that I can count on you. Then we'll talk."

Anastasia slaps that back of her father's head harshly, "You just had to threaten the dumbass!"

"YOU'RE UNDERAGE." DAMON slaps his daughter's hand away from his glass.

"I'm older than most of the teenagers here." Anastasia tells her father just as Jenna and the new news lady walks up to them.

"So, my friend wants to meet you. Damon Salvatore, this is.....,"

Damon turns around in his seat, "I know you. The news lady."

"Yeah, Andie Star. Nice to meet you." She smiles at him as Anastasia raises an eyebrow in the blonde lady smiling at her father, "Can I buy you a drink, Damon?"

"My glass is full, Andie. Thank you." Damon stands up, "Come on, Anastasia. Don't you think it's past your bedtime?"

"I don't have a bedtime." Anastasia argued with her father as they walked away from the two.

"Don't you think you should?"

"You totally blew her off." Elena tells Damon as the father and daughter walk over to her.

"I'm steering clear of all women at the moment." Damon tells the Doppelganger.

"You didn't have to be rude."

"Trust me it's in the best interest of women everywhere." Damon tells her as her phone starts to ring.

"Stefan? What is it?" Elena asked, looking at Damon and Anastasia.

"WHY AM I just finding out about this now?" Damon asked as he and the two girls now stood in the bathroom.

"Stefan was worried that you-,"

"That I'll what? I'll kill him? Of course, it's what's need to happen." Damon tells her.

"No, Damon, not Tyler. Do whatever you need to do to get Caroline back but just leave Tyler out of it, okay? He's Anastasia's best friend!"

"Why? He's a werewolf, he needs to die. I'm willing to kill him, it's win-win."

Elena touches his arm, "Damon please, okay? Too many people are dead."

"You need to stop doing that." Damon tells her.

"Doing what?" She moves her hand off of his arm.

"Assuming that I'll play the good guy because it's you who's asking."

"Be the better man, Damon." She tells him as John walks into the bathroom.

"Do you mind?" Damon asked.

"What's going on?" John asked, looking at his daughter, Damon and the annoyed look on Anastasia's face as she leans against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Nothing." Elena sighs.

"It doesn't look like nothing."

"Well, guess what John, trust works both ways. Get out." Damon tells him.

"Look, we don't have time for this. We need to get Caroline back." Elena tells the two men.

"We don't need to do anything. Ana and I will take care of it." Damon grabs his daughters arm before turning to John, "First dad duty; ground your daughter. Keep her here. Let's go."

"YOU READY FOR this?" Jonas as as he and Anastasia walked through the woods, the sounds of fighting being heard from where they were.

Anastasia smirked as she looks at the warlock beside her, "I'm always ready to get my hands a little dirty."

BRADY GRABS A stake from the ground and is about to stake Damon, when suddenly, all of the werewolves except for Tyler begin to scream in pain and agony.

They cover their ears, falling to the ground in pain.

"What's happening?" Caroline cried in pain.

"What the hell is going on?" Tyler whispers.

Jonas and Anastasia appear, both of them chanting as Stefan and Damon get off of the ground.

"Elijah made a promise to Elena. I'm here to see it's uphold. You need to go. Get out of here. Now." Jonas tells Stefan, Damon, Caroline and Anastasia.

Anastasia glances at Tyler with a sad smile on her face before speeding away.

STEFAN WALKS CAROLINE to her doorstep. "So is your mom home?"

"No, she's at work."

"I can come in, if you want me to." Stefan tells the blonde in front of him.

"I'm fine, Stefan." Caroline pushes her front door open.

"You don't have to pretend with me." Stefan says, "Anybody would be upset after what you went through tonight."

"I'm okay. I'm not girly little Caroline anymore. I can handle myself."

"Sure you can."

"I just really want to go shower so...."

"Okay."

"Good night."

"Good night."

"WHAT DO YOU say, movie night in my room?" Jeremy leans against the door of his bathroom as Anastasia pulled her brown hair up into a pony tail.

"We're gonna have to rain check on that one." Anastasia moves to wrap her arms around her boyfriend's shoulders. "Uncle Stefan is on his way to get me and your sister. Caroline really needs all of us right now."

"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Promise." She smiles, standing on her tip toes to press her lips against his, "I love you."

"I love you."

STEFAN KNOCKS ON Caroline's door, smiling at the blonde as she opens the door in her robe, healed of all of her wounds."Hey."

"Hey." Stefan smiled.

"What's going on?" Caroline asked her.

"I was a bit worried about you, after everything you went through tonight." Stefan tells her.

"I'm fine."

"Good. But, just in case, I brought some back up." Stefan says as his niece, Elena and Bonnie walked up behind them.

"We're gonna slumber it." Elena tells her.

"We haven't done it in ages." Bonnie smiled.

"And I brought booze." Anastasia smirked, causing the three girls to laugh.

Caroline starts to cry, pulling the three girls into a big group hug.
