❝𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 pissed at me? ❞ Jeremy mumbled, crawling back into his bed where Anastasia laid under his covers, both of them waiting on Bonnie to get there so they could trick Elena.

"No." She whispers, moving to lay her head on his chest. "I'm not pissed anymore. I had the night to sleep it over."

"Hmm, at least one of us slept. The couch is not comfortable." He sighs, running his fingers through her hair.

"You didn't have to sleep on the couch. This is your room." Anastasia tells him.

"I wanted to give you some space."

"Jeremy, if I wanted Space, I would've went back home with my dad." Anastasia says before her ears pick up on the sound of a car pulling into the driveway, "Bonnie's here."

"Show time."

"NOW THAT YOU'VE got this back, what are you gonna do with it?" Elena asked the two girls sitting on her bed as she looked the moonstone over.

"Right now, it's what is binding the Sun and the Moon Curse. If I can figure out a way to remove the spell from the stone, the stone becomes useless." Bonnie tells her best friend.

"And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful." Elena says.

"Maybe. If he finds out."

"Bonnie, can't this wait? Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine. We've got to get him out." Elena tells them as she points outside of her window.

"Uncle Stefan wants us to focus on this." Anastasia tells the doppelganger.

"Don't listen to him. He thinks that he's protecting me but he's wrong."

"I'm taking Stefan's side with this one. We're not gonna let you get used in some creepy sacrifice ritual." Bonnie says, taking the moonstone from Elena's hand.

"What are you guys arguing about?" Jeremy leans against the doorway of his sister's bedroom.

"We're not arguing about anything." Bonnie tells him, putting the stone inside her bag, glancing over at Anastasia. "I need coffee."

Bonnie gets up and leaves the room as Anastasia stands up and moves to wrap her arms around her boyfriend's torso, laying her head flat against his chest.

"What?" Elena asked as Jeremy looks over at her.

"Why are you on some suicide mission?" Jeremy asked her.

"I'm trying to prevent everyone else from getting hurt." Elena tells him.

"Oh so, bringing Klaus the moonstone so you can get yourself killed is okay?" Jeremy shakes his head as he leaves with Anastasia.

Elena waits just a second before grabbing the moonstone from Bonnie's bag and quietly hurries down the stairs with her keys in hand.

"Where are you going?" Bonnie asked as she was coming back down the stairs.

"Um, to see Stefan."

"You're lying."

"No, I'm not."

"Really? Tell your face."

"Are you serious?"

"She took the moonstone." Jeremy says as he and Anastasia appears at the top of the stairs.

"How did you...?"

"We tested you, and you failed." Bonnie tells her.

"Klaus killed Katherine's entire family just because she crossed him. I can't let that happen." Elena tells the three of them.

Bonnie steps to the side and Elena looks at her in slight confusion before she walks down the stairs and opens the door to leave, but an invisible barrier prevents her from going any further.

"What did you do?" Elena looks at Bonnie.

"Oh, I didn't do that." Bonnie shakes her head.

Elena turns to look up at the stairs where her brother and Anastasia were still standing.

Anastasia looked down at the human with a bright smile on her face, "I really love that spell."

"YOU SHOULD REALLY lock your door." Damon tells Elena as he walks into the house, "Oh, come on, pouty. At least give me two points for ingenuity.

"Do you think this is funny?" Elena asked him.

"Yes, Elena. I find hilarity in the lengths that I have to go to repeatedly save your life." Damon tells her.

"What does Stefan say about this?" Questioned Elena.

"We had a good laugh."

"And what did he say about Elijah still being alive?"

Damon sits next to her on the couch, putting his arm behind her head. "Yeah, that....I didn't tell him."

"Why not?"

"Well A ; he can't do anything about it and B....what I just said."

Jeremy and Anastasia come into the room, standing behind the couch.

"Where is Bonnie?" Damon asked his daughter.

"We thought she was meeting you." Anastasia tells her dad.

"No, she's on moonstone duty and I'm on Elena patrol."

"And who's on Tyler Lockwood and the full moon?" Jeremy questioned.

"Well, Anastasia was going to help Tyler seeing as their best friends and all, but vampire barbie asked if she could handle it, and I said, why not? Figured if she screwed up, he'll bite her and then I'll be rid of two of my problems."

"Hold on a second. Tonight's the full moon?" Elena asked as Damon's phone rings.

"Yep, but you were too absorbed with all your suicidal tendencies to notice." Damon tells her before he gets up and goes to answer his phone.

"Can't you just lift the spell and let me out of here?" Elena turned to look at Anastasia.

"Uh, that would be a hell no." Anastasia tells her.

"Change of plans." Damon says as he hangs up, "You two babysit."

Jeremy lays down on the couch his head on his sister's lap.

"Hey you know, you should get out, enjoy the sun." Damon looks at Elena. "Oh wait, you can't."

Elena throws a cushion from the couch at the vampire, who dodged it as Jeremy lets out a laugh, his sister pushing him onto the floor.

ELENA AND ANASTASIA walk down the stairs and finds Jenna searching in the closet.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Elena asked her aunt.

"Perfect timing." Jenna giver her a box.

"What is this stuff?" Anastasia asked the blonde woman.

"Your moms' files from the Historical Society. I got roped into helping Mrs. Lockwood and by roped, I mean very excited to participate." Jenna tells the two girls as she shuts the closet door, Elijah standing behind it.

"Hey, I'm Elijah."

"Oh, you sneaky bitch." Anastasia mumbles low enough that Elijah was the only one that could hear it, and she knew he did when a smirk appeared on his face.

"Elijah's in town doing research on Mystic Falls." Jenna tells them.

"I'm sure he is." Anastasia says.

"It's a pleasure." Elijah shakes the two girls hands, holding onto Anastasia's a little bit longer.

"So you're welcome to stay here and rummage through this stuff or Elena, Stacie and I could help you load it into your car." Jenna tells him.

"Or I can get someone to pick it up." Elijah tells her.

"Also a good plan."

"Thank you so much for inviting me into your home, Jenna; and Elena...I hope to see you again sometime soon. As well as you, Anastasia."

As Jenna leads Elijah outside, Elena calmly walks up the stairs, pulling Anastasia behind her before rushing up the stairs and towards Jeremy's bedroom door.

Elena knocks on the door but Elijah grabs her wrist as Jeremy opens his bedroom door, and the original vampire hides behind the door.

"What is it??

"Jenna was just asking me to get you to help her with the boxes." Elena tells him.

"Okay." Jeremy moves past the two before walking down the stairs.

"A wise choice." Elijah tells the doppelganger.

"What do you want?" Elena demanded.

"I think it's time you and I have a little chat."

"I - I think I'll go help Jeremy with-,"

"You also, Sweetheart."

Anastasia nods with a smack of her lips, "I figured as much."

"FORGIVE THE INTRUSION. I mean your family no harm." Elijah tells Elena as the three sit inside her bedroom.

"Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take me?" Elena asked the original vampire.

"Because I don't want you to be taken." Elijah tells her, "Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals, but those that fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelganger exist, there'll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that."

"Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?"

"Let's just say that my goal is not to break the curse." Elijah says.

"So, what is your goal?"

"Klaus's obsession has made him paranoid. He's a recluse. He trust only those in his immediate circle."

"Like you?" Elena questioned.

"Not anymore."

"You don't know where he is, do you?" Elena asked, "So you're trying to use me to draw him out."

"Well, to do that he need you to stay put and stop trying to get yourself killed." Anastasia sends the doppelganger a sarcastic look.

"How do I know you're telling the truth?" Elena questioned.

"If I wasn't being truthful, all your family would be dead and I'd be taking you to Klaus right now." Elijah says, "Instead, I'm here and I'm prepared to offer you a deal."

"What kind of deal?"

"Do nothing. Do nothing, live your life, stop fighting and then, when the time is right, you and I shall draw out Klaus together and I shall make sure your friends remain unharmed." Elijah stated.

"And then what?"

"Then I kill him." Elijah says, making Anastasia look over at him in shock and disbelief.

"Just like that?" Elena asked.

"Just like that. I'm a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal, I keep a deal. Just ask Anastasia. We've made plenty of deals over the years." Elijah says, reveling that he and the Salvatore girl had known each other for quit some time."

"How are you gonna be able to keep everybody safe?"

"I notice you have another friend ; Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts."

"You know witches?"

"Together, we can protect everybody that matters to you. So, do we have a deal?" Elijah asked.

"I need you to do one more thing for me."

"We're negotiating now?"

"ARE WE SERIOUSLY not going to talk at all?" Katherine asked Stefan as the two sat in the tomb.

"We could talk about how you regret all you've done to make my life miserable." Stefan tells her.

"What do you want me to say, Stefan? That I'm sorry for everything that I've done? Well I'm not, okay? It's called self-preservation. I've been looking out for myself for five hundred years." Katherine tells him.

"Look where it had gotten you."

"Yes, I've don't terrible things. I know that, but I do love you, Stefan. Even if you don't believe it." Katherine says.

"You want me to believe you? Show me. Do something. Prove to me that there's something inside of you that's actually worth trusting."

"And then what? You're still gonna hate me."

"Maybe and maybe I'll see that there's still hope for you after all."

"You're playing me."

"Am I?" Stefan asked.

"You want to find Klaus? Kill him so that you can protect your precious Elena?" Katherine asked him.

"For a price I'm sure."

"Start with Isobel, Elena's mother. She was a research expert. She found me." Katherine tells him. "You're welcome."

The two of them hear the door to the tomb being open and they look at each other, going to the entrance to find Elijah and Anastasia standing there.

Katherine looks at him in fear, "Elijah."

"Good evening, Katerina. Thank you for having the good sense to be frightened." Elijah says her her before looking at Stefan, "Your release has been requested."

"What? By who?" Stefan asked.

"The lovely Elena drives a hard bargain. And so does your wonderful niece." Elijah glanced back at the hybrid standing behind him. "However, we reached a peaceful agreement, she and I. Please." He gestures for Stefan to walk out of the tomb. "Come."

"I can't." Stefan shakes his head.

"Yes, you can. I've had the spell lifted."

Stefan slowly walks out of the tomb before rushing to pull his niece into his arms.

Once he's out, Katherine rushes to get out too, but still finds the invisible barrier there.

Elijah walks closer to the tomb, compelling Katherine, "As for you however, you should not exit until I say so. When Klaus comes, he'll want to know exactly where you are." He looks at Stefan, "You're free to go. Elena will explain the arrangement to you. If she keeps her word, I'll keep mine." He leaves.

"Stefan, no. Anastasia. please. Please don't let him leave me in here." Katherine begs the two.

"Goodbye, Katherine." Stefan tells her, letting his niece walk out before he did.
