ANASTASIA STARED OUT of the bedroom window as she watched the storm, arms crossed over her chest. "When I was human, storms scared me. I'd always end up crawling into my dad's bed bed, or Uncle Stefan would come into mine and make up some bedtime story to get me to fall asleep again."

Jeremy keeps his eye on her.

"But as I got older, I began to love them. I'd sit on my bay window, watching the rain drops race down the glass. I'd close my eyes and I would think of my mom. She was obsessed with the rain from what I knew."

"Is that a vampire thing?" He asked, "Cause I read vampires don't like running water."

"It's only Dracula. Yeah. He was a complete wuss. Never showered. Very smelly." She joked.

"Seriously?"

"First rule about vampires; don't believe anything you read." She says, moving to sit on the bed next to him.

"You gotta tell me more than what you've already told me. I gotta know."

"No, you don't." Anastasia shakes her head, "Cause you're not gonna be one."

"Come on, you can't keep saying "no" to me." Jeremy says, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Look, I'm not gonna turn someone who learned everything he knows about vampires from Netflix." She says.

"That's not true and you know it."

"Why do you even want this? Give me one good reason, Jer." She says, raising an eyebrow.

"Cause I...,"

"Let me know when you can finish that sentence." Anastasia playfully pushed him as there was a knock on Jeremy's door and Elena walked in.

"Hey, you're both still up."

"Hey, what's up?"

"Looks like there's a big storm rolling in. Can you help me make sure all the windows are closed?"

"Yeah. Yeah, sure."

彡☆

"I SAY we go down to Pearl's bust down the doors, and annihilate the idiot that attacked us last night." Damon says as he boards up the window that two of the tomb vampires broke the night before with Stefan, Anastasia and Elena watching.

"Yeah. And then what?" Stefan asked. "We turn to the rest of that house of vampire and say, "Oops. Sorry?"

"I can't believe you made a deal with her." Elena tells the oldest Salvatore.

"It was more like a helpful exchange of information. And it's not like I had a choice. She's....scary." Damon says, "Besides, she's gonna help me get Katherine back."

"Of course she is." Elena rolled her eyes, "Damon gets what he wants, as usual. No matter who he hurts in the process."

"You don't have to be snarky about it."

"We woke up this morning to learn that all the vampires have been released from the tomb." Anastasia looked over at her father with an annoyed look on her face, "She's earned the right to be snarky."

"How long are you going to blame me for turning your birth mother into a vampire?" Damon asked as he sat down on the couch.

"I'm not blaming you, Damon. I've accepted the fact that you're a self-serving psychopath with no redeeming qualities."

"Ouch."

"This isn't being very productive. We're trying to figure out a way to deal with Pearl and the vampires. Yeah?" Stefan asked.

Damon got up to leave the room, Anastasia taking his place on the couch as Stefan hugged Elena.

"I'm sorry. He just makes me cranky."

"I know. He makes everybody cranky." Stefan says.

"So, what are we doing to do?" Elena asked.

"Damon, Anastasia and I are gonna handle everything, I promise." Stefan tells his girlfriend.

"Well, what about me?" Elena asked, "I can't just sit here and do nothing."

"That's exactly what you're gonna do, because that's what's gonna keep you safe." Stefan tells her.

"Which means nothing if you're not safe." Elena said.

"What do you mean? I'm perfectly safe. I have Damon, the self-serving psychopath on my side." Stefan said, "And I have my hybrid niece who can literally rip hearts out with just a flick of her wrist."

"Well, that's comforting." Elena glanced over at Anastasia who was texting on her phone, "And scary."

"Yeah, she's my pride and joy." Stefan joked, turning to look at his niece, "Isn't that right, Eloise?"

Anastasia looked up from her phone, "What? Sorry, I was texting Jeremy."

彡☆

"YOU AREN'T saying no anymore." Jeremy held the door open to the Grill for Anastasia to walk in before following her.

"I'm not saying yes either, Jeremy." She said, sitting down at one of the tables made for two, "I've turned someone before, and it didn't end up well."

Jeremy frowned, "What happened?"

"His name was Dylan and he was the boyfriend before you. In 1999, he was dying and because he knew what I was, he wanted me to turn him so that we could be together for the rest of eternity, so I did." Anastasia tells him, "But a few months later, someone from my past found me and he...he killed him. I was mad, turned off my humanity until 2006. Destroyed a couple city's."

"Turn off your humanity?" Asked Jeremy.

"It's a vampire thing. We can turn our emotions off and become....someone we're not. I hate myself after I turn it back on, and that's why I don't drink straight from the vein. Sometimes I can control it and other times.....I don't know when too much is too much."

Jeremy reached across the table to intertwine their fingers, "You controlled with me last night."

"I controlled it because Jenna came home. What if I wouldn't have? What if I - she didn't come home and I lost it?" Anastasia asked.

"Princess, I have not one doubt that you wouldn't have been able to control it. Like I told you last night, I trust you." Jeremy tells her, "That's why I trust you to turn me."

Anastasia let out a sigh, sitting back in her seat. "Look, I'm not going to turn you a few days into getting your memory back and knowing about vampires. So, I'll make a deal with you."

"What kind of deal?"

"Be human until you finish high school. And if you still want to be a vampire when you graduate, I'll turn you."

彡☆

"ELOISE!" DAMON called out to his daughter as she walked into the house, "Have you seen your Uncle?"

Anastasia looked at her dad in confusion, "No. I thought he was here?"

"He left to feed before we did something about the tomb vampires." Damon tells her, "Come on. Let's go see if he's at Elena's."

"And if he's not?" She asked, "What if something happened to him?"

"Well, we'll just have to cross that road when we get there."

彡☆

ELENA RUSHED over to her phone as it started ringing, with the hopes that it was Stefan calling. But when she saw that Damon was the one calling her, she ignored it until the doorbell went off."

"You're ignoring me." Damon says as he and Anastasia walk into the Gilbert house.

"The six missed calls? Sorry, my phone is dead." Elena tells him.

"Is Uncle Stefan here?" Anastasia asked, worry on her face.

Stefan was the one to raise her and if anything were to happen to Uncle Stefan, she didn't know if she would be able to handle it.

"No. Why? Something wrong?" Elena asked.

"He went out in the woods and didn't come back." Damon tells her, "Neither me nor Anastasia can get him on the phone. I figured he was here with you."

Elena quickly called Stefan on her phone, but soon pulled it way from her ear, "It's going straight to voicemail. Where could he be?"

Damon and his daughter shared looks, "You're not going to like what I'm thinking."

彡☆

ELENA SAT inside of Damon's car and once she sees Anastasia and Damon coming towards her without Stefan, she gets out and covers her head with an umbrella to shield the rain. "What happened? Where is he?"

Anastasia ignored the Gilbert girl, going to get in the backseat of her fathers car, and leaned her head back, closing her eyes.

"They have him. I can't get in."

"Why not?" Elena asked.

"Because the woman who owns the house is compelled to not let me in." Damon tells her.

"Anastasia can get in! She went inside Trudie's house without having to be invited in." Elena tells her, turning to go get Anastasia, but Damon grabs her arm and pulled her back to him.

"Like hell she is." Damon says, "Not by herself, she isn't."

"I can get in." Elena says, going to walk by him but once again he stopped her.

"You're not going in there."

"I'm going!" Elena exclaimed.

"You're not going in there."

"Why are they doing this? What do they want with him?" Elena asked.

"Revenge. They want Revenge." Damon said.

"We gotta do something."

"I know."

"We can't let them hurt him." Elena said, "We gotta get him out of there."

"I know. Elena, I know. But I don't know how to get him out."

彡☆

"WELL, DON'T you look alive?"

Damon walked out into the hallway of the high school, making Alaric stop in his tracks, glancing over at Anastasia who had her arms crossed her over chest.

"You can't hurt me." Alaric tells him.

"Oh, I can hurt you alright." Damon says before Elena walked out.

"Mr. Saltzman." Elena sighed, "We need your help."

"They need your help. I'm a hybrid and if I wanted to I could get Uncle Stefan out before they could even blink." Anastasia says as they move towards Alaric's classroom.

"You aren't going in there." Damon tells his daughter.

"And I never listen to a word you say."

"Stefan's in a house. Damon's a vampire. He can't get in. He won't let Anastasia go in. We need you. I would go, but..." Elena trailed off.

"But your life is valuable. Yours, on the other hand is...."

"Stefan told me about your rings." Elena tells the history teacher"What about it?" He glanced at Anastasia, the only other person that knew about his ring.

"Let me recap." Damon says, "You tried to kill me. I defended myself. You died. Then according to my brother and daughter, your ring brought you back to life. Am I leaving anything out?"

"Yeah." Alaric tells him, "The part where I tried to kill you again. Only this time, I won't miss."

"Mr. Saltzman. Please. It's Stefan." Elena tells him as Anastasia's phone buzzed.

Damon glanced at the screen, rolling his eyes lightly as he see's the text from Jeremy, telling Anastasia that Anna had shown up at his house, so he was gonna hang out with her until she was done with whatever she was doing.

"I'm sorry, Elena. But it's not my problem." Alaric tells her.

"That's a shame." Damon said, standing up from where he was leaned against the window. "Because the woman in charge of the crowd can help you find your wife."

Anastasia looked up at her father in confusion.

"You're lying."

"Am I? Why don't you ask her for yourself?" Damon asked him. "Come on, Elena."

"Alright! Wait!" Alaric stopped the three from leaving the classroom, "I'll go."

彡☆

"TEACHER BY day, vampire hunter by night." Anastasia smirked, hands in the pockets of her leather jacket.

"I have your dad to think for that." Alaric tells her.

"What are these?" Elena asked, looking down at the darts that sat on the desk.

"Those are tranquilizer darts filled with vervain." Alaric tells her.

"Just get us in. We'll get Stefan out." Damon tells the history teacher.

"That's your plan?" Elena asked. "You're just gonna take them all on your own?"

"Well, I'll be a little stealthier than that, hopefully." Damon tells her, "Besides, I have my half vampire, half witch daughter there to protect me."

"Whoa. What are you doing?" Alaric asked, taking the dart away from Elena that she had picked up.

"No. No. No. No. No way." Damon shook his head.

"You need me. I'll get in. You could distract them, and then I'll get Stefan out." Elena tells them.

"You'll get yourself killed. You're not going there." Damon tells her.

"I'm going."

"For fuck sakes, Elena!" Anastasia exclaimed, throwing her hands up, "You are freaking human! Human. Do you know what that means? You. Are. Weak. All you'll be good for going into that house is being used as human fucking blood bag. So, get the hell over it because you are not going inside."

Elena looked at the girl in shock as Damon smirked to himself before turning to Alaric.

"So, when you get me in, get out as quickly as you can. I know how to sneak around where they can't hear me. You'll basically just be in the way." Damon says to the teacher.

"Damon, now is not the time to be the lone ranger." Elena says, making Anastasia roll her eyes in annoyance.

She liked Elena, really she did, but sometimes she didn't know when no meant no.

"Fine. Elena, you can drive the getaway car. You're not going in the house."

"You can't stop me. It's Stefan we're talking about here. You don't understand." Elena said.

"Oh, I understand. I understand." Damon said, "He's the reason you live. His love lifts you up where you belong. I get it."

"Can you just not joke around for two seconds?"

"I can't protect you, Elena. I don't know how many vampires are in there. That's how long it takes you to get your head ripped off. I have to be able to get in and get out. I can't be distracted with your safety, or this will end up a bloodbath that none of us walk away from. Including Stefan. I know. I get it. I understand."

"Anastasia will protect me."

"I'm not protecting anyone." Anastasia says as she makes her way towards the door, "The only person that I'm protecting is myself while I get Uncle Stefan. I like you, Elena, but I won't hesitate to rip your head off myself."

Alaric watched Anastasia storm out of the room before he looked back at Damon and Elena, "If we're gonna go, let's go."

彡☆

ALARIC KNOCKED on the wooden door of Miss. Gibbon's house, Damon and Anastasia hidden in the shadows.

"Oh, good, someone's home. Uh, could I sue your phone? My car broke down a few miles up the road. This was the first house I saw."

"Well, lucky you." Fredrick, who had opened the door, spoke.

"Yeah. Lucky me. It's no trouble, is it" Alaric asked.

"Not in the slightest." Fredrick says.

"Great. Whew." Alaric walked into the house, "Hey, man. I really appreciate it. It's rough out there."

"Billy, show our visitor where the phone is in the kitchen." Frederick tells one of the other vampires. "And get me something to drink."

"Yeah. Sure thing." Billy took Alaric into the kitchen, "Hey, Miss. Gibbon, this guy wants to use your phone."

"Oh, sure, honey. It's right there." She pointed to where the phone was.

"Thanks." He walked towards the phone, only to have Billy come towards him with a stake in his hand.

But Alaric is quicker than he is, and stabs him with a knife that he picked up.

"Aha!" Billy groaned in pain.

Alaric reached over to turn the faucet on and started the blender, creating noise so that the other vampires wouldn't be able to hear him.

"What's happening?" Miss. Gibbons asks as Alaric grabs her by the arm.

"I'm really sorry. But you're gonna need to invite two friends of mine inside." He opened the door to reveal Damon and Anastasia.

"Oh, I'm sorry. He's not allowed in the house." Miss. Gibbons tells her.

Anastasia rolled her eyes as she stepped into the house, and shoved the older woman into her father's arms.

"Miss. Gibbons, tell me the truth. Are you married?" Damon asked, holding her by the shoulders.

"No."

"Parents, children, anyone else who lives on this property?"

"Not. It's just me."

"No? Good." Damon quickly breaks her neck and walked into the house.

"You were supposed to compel her." Alaric tells them.

"It doesn't work that way." The father and daughter tell him.

"She is human."

"And we're not! So, I don't care." Damon tells him, "Now, get out of here. And get rid of the body!"

彡☆

"BILLY, WHAT'S the hold up?!" Frederick called out to the vampire but didn't get a response before he sent another vampire in to see what was going on.

Once he goes into the kitchen, he quickly turns off the blinder and the sink before he make his way to the pantry.

Damon pushes the door open and stakes him.

彡☆

ELENA JUMPED onto the porch of the old house, hiding behind a wall so that she makes sure she wasn't seen by anyone inside.

"Billy, Jacob! Get back in here!" Frederick called from inside.

The Gilbert girl runs past the door and goes down a staircase that leads into the cellar of the house.

Once she tries to open the door but finds it locked, she knocked out the window panes before unlocking the door and opening it.

Seeing the man standing guard by the door at the end of the hallway, she goes to get the vervain dart that she took from Alaric's bag and gets ready to attack him, but Damon gets to him first, then notices Elena.

"Are you insane?"

彡☆

"UGH. THANK you." Stefan groaned as he spoke to Harper, another vampire from the tomb, "For trying to help me."

"They just needed somebody to blame. Someone to punish." Harper tells him as Elena, Damon and Anastasia come into the cellar.

"Elena....you shouldn't be here." Stefan says.

"She was supposed to stay in the car." Anastasia rolls her eyes as Damon goes to stake Harper.

"Uhh! No. No. Not him." Stefan stopped him before his brother could kill him.

"Whatever. Let's get you down." Damon walked towards the ropes..

"There's vervain on the ropes." Stefan tells him.

"Elena, pull that." Anastasia tells her, and once Elena does as she's told, Anastasia and Damon catch Stefan before he could fall.

"Alright, let's go. Clothes on."

"Wait." Stefan stops them.

"What? Guys, come on. We have to get out of here." Anastasia tells them.

Stefan and Elena start to pull the stakes that Harper had in his legs out.

"Come on, we gotta go."

"The other one."

"Can you get him in the car?" Damon asked Elena.

"Yeah."

"Alright, go."

"What about you two?" Asked Elena.

"You rescue, we'll distract. Go."

彡☆

"TURN THAT down." Frederic motions towards the radio, "It's too quiet."

Suddenly two of the vampire are staked.

"Spread out. Now. You two, back of the house. Go. Check out both rooms. Cellar now."

彡☆

ANOTHER VAMPIRE gets staked in the dining room before Damon surprises Frederick and the two of them start fighting. Two more of the tomb vampires came up behind Damon and pulled him off, letting Frederick get away.

As Damon fights one of the vampires, another goes to attack him from behind but Alaric shoots the vampire with a dark while Anastasia comes out from nowhere and rips the vampire's heart out that had been fighting her father.

"I'm going after Frederick!" Damon tells them before he leaves.

彡☆

ALARIC STOOD the hallway, reloading his gun as Anastasia looked around for more vampires in the house. One of the vampires comes up behind Alaric, wrestling to the ground before he stabs him with one of the vervain darts.

"Frederick's gone." Damon says as Anastasia runs back into the hallway.

"I don't see anymore of the vampires." Anastasia tells them.

"Let's get out of here."

"I'm gonna kill him."

The three walk out of the house, stopping as they see more vampires coming towards them.

"How many more of those vervain darts do you have left?" Damon asked, wrapping his arm around his daughter's waist in a protective manner.

"One."

"Not gonna be enough."

彡☆

"SO, WHAT you said to get me to do this, about my wife." Alaric says to Damon as the three stood in the house, the vampires from outside trying to get it, "It was a lie, wasn't it?"

"Yep."

"Stop." Pearl's voice is heard from outside the door before she opens it, her and Anna walking in, looking around at the dead vampires on the floor.

"Me?" Damon asked, "You're merry little band of vampires spend the day torturing my brother."

"Trust me. The parties responsible for this will be dealt with." Pearl tells them.

"Our little arrangement doesn't work unless you learn to control them." Damon said.

"This wasn't supposed to happen."

"Well, it did." Damon said, grabbing his daughter's hand and pulling her towards the door, "If I had a good side....not a way to get on it."

彡☆

ANASTASIA FOLLOWED Elena into Matt's house, both girls going in different directions. The Salvatore girl quickly wraps her arms around Jeremy's waist as he stood up to her her.

Looking over his shoulder at Tyler, she moved slightly, holding her arm out for the Lockwood boy to join the hug, and he has no hesitation as he stood up and hugged both Anastasia and Jeremy.

彡☆

JEREMY WALKED into his bedroom after being at Matt's, closing the door behind him.

Pulling out two news articles, he rips them up until he comes across the newspaper with Vicki's picture in it, "LOCAL GIRL SURVIVES ANIMAL ATTACK" being the headline.

"What are you doing?" Anna asked from behind Jeremy as she stood by the window.

"My...my friend Vicki...she's - she's dead." Jeremy tells her.

"Vicki? The one you thought was a...."

"Yep. Turns out she's been dead all along." Jeremy said.

"She's the reason you wanted either me or Anastasia to turn you? You wanted to be with her?" Anna asked him.

Jeremy turned away from her, "Look, I'm sorry." He turns back to find Anna gone.

"Is that true? You wanted me to turn you because you wanted to be with Vicki? This whole time?" Anastasia's voice made the boy turn around, "And then when I wouldn't agree to turn you right away, you went to Anna of all people?"

"Stacie..."

"You had the audacity, the audacity, to sit there and give me all these reasons as to why I should turn you, but it was only because you wanted to be with Vicki?" Tears welled up in her eyes, her voice breaking as she talked, "Wow, okay."

"No, no. Wait, stop." Jeremy quickly rushed over to her as she goes to walk out of his room, backing her into the door, "Stop. Stacie, look at me."

"Look at you? I don't even wanna talk to you." She lets a tear fall.

"I'm over Vicki, do you hear me? Over her." Jeremy cupped Anastasia's face between his hands so that she had no choice but to look him in the eyes, "You can compel me if you want to. But the only person that I truly care a about is you. Not Vicki, not Anna. You, okay? I didn't ask you to turn me because I wanted to be with Vicki. I wanted you to turn me because I love you."

"What did you just say?"

"Anastasia Eloise Salvatore, I. Love. You." Jeremy whispered, his face moving closer to his.

Anastasia sped the two of them over to his bed, pinning Jeremy down as she straddle his waist, "I love you." She says before connecting their lips once more.

彡☆

DAMON WALKS into Stefan's room, seeing empty blood bags n the floor.

And then he sees Stefan sitting on the floor also, drinking from another blood bag.
