❝ GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE. ❞
Anastasia sits up more in her chair as the male walked into the classroom, "Hello, Mr. Dreamy." She mumbled, laughing silently as Matt playfully shoved her shoulder.
"Alright, let's see." He started to write his name on the chalkboard with the small piece of chalk that sat on the metal rack, turning around and pointing at the name, "Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful. I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston."
"Now, the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce "Alaric" but it's..."Alaric". Okay, so you can call me, Ric. I'm your new history teacher."
Anastasia's hand shot up into the air, "Yes, I have a question."
"Go head, Miss...." He trailed off, waiting for her name.
"Anastasia Salvatore." She spoke, putting her hand down. "Are you sure you're a history teacher? Because the last history teacher wasn't as good looking as you are, so I was just wondering, are you in the right place?"
Alaric chuckled, "I'm in the right place."
"Are you sure you're sure? 'Cause I'll have you know, I'm definitely going to be paying attention in class now." She tells him.
The new history teacher tilted his head with a teasing smile on his face, "Are you flirting with me, Miss. Salvatore?"
"Oh, no." She shakes her head, leaning back and accidentally hitting her head on Matt's forehead since he had leaned forward to really hear how the conversations would play out between the two, "You'll know when I'm flirting."

"RISE AND shine." Damon called out, causing Stefan to raise up from his bed.
"What...what are you doing?" Stefan asked him.
"Peace offering." Damon held the coffee cup towards his brother, "Come on, you need it for blood circulation. Does dead flesh good. Alright, I'm sorry."
"Step aside, please." Stefan tells him, walking into his bathroom.
"I got the town off our backs. It was for the greater good, but I'm sorry." Damon tells him, "And to prove it, I'm not gonna feed on humans for at least a....week. I'll adopt the Stefan and Eloise diet, only nothing with feathers."
"Anastasia doesn't drink animal blood. She drinks from the bag." Stefan says, the started to mock Damon, "'Cause I realize that killing your closest and oldest friend is beyond evil, and yet somehow, it's worthy of humor."
"Are you mimicking me?" Asked Damon.
"Yes, Stefan." Stefan says, "Now that the secret society of vampire haters is off our back, I can go back to my routine of how can I destroy Stefan's life this week."
Damon decides to play along, "And I can go back to sulking and Elena longing and forehead brooding, while also trying to be a father to my niece when I know that I'm not her father. This is fun. I like this."
"And I will finally revel the ulterior motive behind my evil and diabolical return to Mystic Falls while crushing my daughter's heart and ruining her life."
"Yeah, I'm done." Damon says, "That's just like you, Damon. Always have to have the last word."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
ANASTASIA BOUNCED over to Jeremy where he was on his way to Alaric's classroom. "Are you doing anything?"
Jeremy chuckled, looking down at her, "As of right now? Nothing. Why?"
"Because I need to tell you some really important things that I am not supposed to tell you, and it might anger some people if they found out I'm the one that snitched." She tells him, wrapping her arms around one of his.
"Hmm, interesting." Jeremy pretends to think, 'causing her to his his chest softly, "Alright. Meet me at the Grill tonight. I gotta go talk to the new history teacher."
"Ooh, he's cute." She grinned, "Can I come with?"
"After saying he was cute? No." He laughed, pulling her to a stop in front of the classroom anyway, "Hey, Mr. Saltzman, I'm uh - I'm Jeremy Gilbert. You wanted to see me?"
"Hello, Anastasia." He chuckled as he stood up before going back to Jeremy, waving the two of then in.
Anastasia stood off to the side and Jeremy went to sit on the desk in front of the teacher.
"You know that your old history teacher had a jackass file? No joke, it's typed on the label. It has all the troublemakers in it but really it's just an opus...to you. Don't worry about it. I'm not him." Alaric throws it away.
"Clearly." Anastasia grinned.
"You, be quiet." Jeremy playfully points at her.
The vampire held her hands up in surrender, "You got it, boss."
"Clean slate." Alaric chuckled at the two, "Now...let's talk about grades."
"I know, it's been a rough couple of months, but I've been trying to turn them around." Jeremy tells him, "With Stacie's help of course."
"I saw that but the problem is we're halfway through a semester and....after half a fail is still pretty bleak, this is the part where you say to me, "but what can i do to change that?" I'm glad you asked. How do you feel about extra credit?"
"Yeah, yeah, totally." Jeremy nodded, "Whatever."
"Good. Write me a paper then." Alaric says.
"Okay. About what?"
"History. Pick a topic. Keep it local and no Wikipedia regurgitate." The history teacher tells him, "These old towns have a rich history so just....get your hands dirty, make it sing and your back on track. Deal?"
"Yeah, deal." Jeremy says before noticing his ring, "That's a cool ring."
"Oh, thanks. It was my fathers. A little garish, but family. You know. You got a week."
"Yeah." Jeremy nodded before standing up, walking out of the classroom with Anastasia, "Wanna help me write a paper?"
Anastasia laughed, "I'm not going to write it for you. But I'll help you try and find something to write about."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"HI." STEFAN stood up from the bench that he was sat at when Elena walked over to him.
"You weren't in class. I was worried." Elena tells him, "And I'm pretty sure your niece has a crush on the new history teacher."
"I got your message, and sorry I didn't get back to you, but...what I wanna say shouldn't be said over the phone." Stefan tells her.
"A simple "I didn't kill my brother" text would have sufficed." Elena says.
"I didn't kill by brother, as much as he deserved it. He has you to thank for that." Stefan says, hands in the pockets of his jacket.
"So, what do you want to tell me?" Asked Elena.
"I won't be coming to school anymore." Stefan tells her, "I'm gonna back off and keep my distance. It's the right thing to do."
"Back off from school or...from me?" Elena asked and Stefan struggled to find the words to say to her, "Thank you for telling me."
"It's better this way." Stefan said.
"Yep. I got it."
"You're angry." Stefan stated, "That's good. Be easier if you hate me."
"And what about Anastasia?" Elena asked as he went to walk away from her, "You just gonna pull her out of school to? Keep her away from Jeremy?"
"Anastasia can stay in school. I'm not pulling her away from a chance of having a normal life."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"I LIKE a man who can dine alone." Jenna spoke as she, Jeremy and Anastasia sat at a table in the Grill. "A quiet strength."
"I thought you were still in that whole Logan depression thing." Jeremy says to his aunt, knocking his shoulder into Anastasia as he found her staring at the teacher.
"I've sworn off men forever, but it doesn't mean I can't observe them from a safe distance." Jenna tells the teens.
"I'm gonna be staring from a close distance every Monday through Friday since he's the new history teacher." Anastasia smirked as he kept her eyes on the hunk of a history teacher. "My grades would really get better now."
Jenna laughed at the teenage girl, both of them sharing a fist bump.
"Well, I can introduce you." Jeremy tells his aunt as he grabbed Anastasia's chin and pulled her head so that she was looking at him, "And you. Look at me, not him."
Anastasia grinned, "Sorry."
Jenna watched the exchange between the two teens with a smile on her face, happy that her nephew has someone like Anastasia in his life."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"THANKS FOR coming. I wouldn't have called if it wasn't important." Elena spoke to Stefan as she opened the front door of her house.
"I know that."
Elena walked out of the house and onto the porch, closing the door behind her. "He threatened her, Stefan." Elena tells him.
"What would Damon want with Bonnie?" Stefan asked.
"She has this necklace. Caroline got it from Damon, and she gave it to Bonnie, and now Damon wants it back." Elena explained to him, "He's tormenting her."
"Over a necklace?"
"It's not just any necklace. It has to do with Bonnie heritage. It belonged to one of her ancestors who lived here during the civil war..." Elena trailed off as she looked up at Stefan ,"When you, Damon and Anastasia lived here."
"Her name was Emily." Stefan tells her, "She was Katherine's handmaid and a witch."
"You know?" Elena asked, "About Bonnie?"
"The first night that you invited me over for dinner, I made the connection." Stefan says.
"And now Damon knows, and for some reason he wants that necklace." Elena realized.
"What does it look like?" Stefan asked her.
"It's...an antique iron setting with...."
"With an amber crystal." Stefan finished for her, "I know it. It belonged to Katherine. Emily gave it to her, which means that...."
"What?" Elena asked him.
"I don't know, but I'm gonna find it out." Stefan tells her, "Let me talk to Damon."
"Will he tell you?"
"I'll - I'll get it out of him." Stefan says as he goes to walk down the porch, "And if not, I'm sure Anastasia can guilt trip him into telling her."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"HAVE YOU picked a topic?" Jenna asked her nephew, talking about the paper that Alaric was letting him do for extra credit to bring his grades up in the class.
"No, not yet." Jeremy said with a sigh, "It's gotta be local and non-internet research, so...."
"I'm not writing it for you." Anastasia shook her head, a grin plastered on her face as she looked at him.
"That's easy." Jenna tells her nephew, "You got all your dad's stuff?"
"What stuff?" Jeremy asked.
"How the Gilbert's came over on the Mayflower stuff." Jenna tells him, "All that family stuff lineage from way back. Your dad really loved all that family history stuff. It's all box up in the closet."
"Mr. Saltzman." Jeremy grinned as the man walked towards the exit of the small restaurant/bar.
"Jeremy. What's up, man?" Alaric did a handshake with Jeremy before he smirked over at Anastasia. "Anastasia."
"Hi, Alaric." She grinned, a flirty smile on her face.
"This is my Aunt Jenna." Jeremy introduced the two of them.
"Alaric Saltzman. It's nice to meet you." Alaric tells her, ignoring the chuckles that came from Anastasia once she noticed that he found the Sommers girl attractive.
"Jeremy was telling me about his paper." Jenna says, "Thanks for giving him another chance."
"It was my first day. I wanted to make a good impression." Alaric shrugged.
"Oh, he made a great one." Anastasia says, earning a pinch from Jeremy as she stands up.
"Where are you going?" Jeremy asked her with a pout, "We were supposed to spend time together."
"Ah, we're gonna have to rain check that. Elena just texted me for a girls night at your place with Bonnie and Caroline." Anastasia tells him, leaning over to kiss his cheek, "Rain check?"
"Rain check." Jeremy says, watching as she walked out of the bar. He turned his gaze back to his aunt and history teacher, finding them looking at him with a smug look on their faces, "What? Why are you both looking at me like that?"
Jenna chuckled with a shake of her head, "You have got it bad for that girl."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"SO, STEFAN." Stefan walks over to the bar where Damon was just about to take a drink of his bourbon, "You know, I've been thinking. I think we should start over, give the brother thing another chance, at least for Anastasia. We used to do it, oh, so well once upon a time."
"I don't know, Damon. I can't trust you to be a nice guy. You kill everybody, and you're so mean. You're so mean, and you....you're really hard to imitate, and then I have to go to that lesser place." Damon spoke.
"Can I get a coffee, please?" Stefan asked the bartender, "So, what's with the bottle?"
"I'm on edge." Damon tells him. "Crash diet, and I'm trying to keep a low profile."
"You could always just leave, find a new town to turn into your own personal gas and sip." Stefan says.
"I'll manage." Damon tells him, "You don't have to keep an eye on me."
"I'm not here to keep an eye on you.
"So why are you here?" Damon asked.
"Why no?" Stefan grabs the bottle from the counter and walks away, Damon following after him.
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
ANASTASIA SAT on the counter in the Gilbert house as she watched the other three girls pull stuff out for dinner.
An amused look spread across her face as she took in the annoyed expression on Caroline's face as Elena silently tried to get the blonde to apologize to Bonnie.
Caroline sighed, carving in. "I'm sorry. There. I said it. If you want the ugly-ass necklace, keep it. It's yours."
"Will you hate me if I tell you I threw it away?" Bonnie asked with a guilty look on her face.
"You threw it away?" Caroline asked, annoyed.
"I know it sounds crazy, but the necklace was giving me nightmares." Bonnie says, "I had to get rid of it."
"You could have just given it back to me."
"Why? So you could give it back to Damon?" Elena cut in, Anastasia raising an eyebrow.
"Screw Damon. Are we doing manicures or what?" Caroline asked, "Who has their kit?"
"Mine's in my bag." Bonnie moved her head in the direction that her bag was in.
"So, Elena....how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it....like a permanent thing?" Caroline asked as she ruffled through Bonnie's bag.
"I don't know, Caroline."
"Why are you sure a little liar, Bonnie?" Caroline suddenly sounded angry.
"Caroline." Elena says as the blonde turns around, holding the necklace in her hand.
Anastasia's eyes widened in shock as she took in the yellow crystal necklace that she hadn't seen since she was four years old.
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"I'M NOT lying to you, Caroline. I swear." Bonnie tells her, the necklace sitting in the middle of the counter in the kitchen.
"It's true. I watched her throw it into a field." Elena says.
"Then explain it."
"Emily." Both Bonnie and Anastasia say in sync, both in different tones.
"Who's Emily?" A confused Caroline asked.
"The ghost." Says Bonnie.
"Oh, the ghost has a name now?" Caroline mocked.
"Caroline, please."
"I wonder why she won't leave me alone." Bonnie tells Elena.
"What is going on? Why are Ellie and I not a part of this conversation?" Caroline asked.
"I don't want to be a part of the conversation." Anastasia says.
Caroline ignored the vampire and kept talking, "You guys do this to me all the time."
"That's not true." Elena denied.
"Yes, it is." Bonnie says before looking at Caroline, "I can talk to you. You don't listen."
"That's not true."
"I'm a witch." Bonnie says.
"And don't we all know it?"
"See? That's what I'm talking about. I'm trying to tell you something. You don't even hear it." Bonnie tells her blonde friend, storming out of the room.
"I listen. When do I not listen?" Caroline says, turning to Elena and Anastasia.
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"BONNIE. LOOK, it's just not me. I don't believe in the "woo woo"." Caroline moves to sit next to the Bennett girl while Elena and Anastasia stand around the corner, listening in, "But if you do, then okay. I'm in. That's all it takes for me to jump on board, because I consider you to be my best friend. And I'm saying this, knowing that Elena and Ellie are in the kitchen listening to my every word."
Anastasia smirked to herself.
"Look, I didn't know how real this was for you, but I'm listening now. Okay?" Caroline tells her, "Ellie, Elena, you guys can come in now. We're done."
The two girls walked around the corner, going to sit next to them on the couch.
"There is just way too much drama in this room. So, what do you guys wanna do?" Caroline asked before gasping, "I have an idea. Why don't we have a seance?"
"I don't think that's a good idea." Bonnie says in a nervous voice.
"Come on. Let's summon some spirits. This Emily chick has some serious explaining to do."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"WHAT ARE we doing?" Bonnie asked as the four girls now sat in a circle on Elena's floor, hands joining and the candles burning being the only source of light for them.
"I don't know."
"Be quiet and concentrate." Caroline tells them.
"Listen, when I was younger, I had a pet bunny names Stefan after Uncle Stefan, and if he comes back to haunt my ass because of this, I'm sending him your way, blondie." Anastasia tells Caroline.
Caroline playfully glared at her before going back to talking to Bonnie, "Close your eyes. Now, take a deep breath. Bonnie, call to her."
"Emily, you there?" Bonnie asked, making Anastasia crack a smile.
"Really? "Emily, you there?" That's he best you got?" Caroline asked her, "Come on."
"Fine, geez." Bonnie closed her eyes again, taking another deep breath, "Emily. I call on you. I know you have a message. I'm here to listen."
The flame on the candle in front of the girls burned bright, shocking the four of them.
"Did that just-,"
Caroline cuts Elena off, "Yeah. That just happened."
"It's just the air conditioning." Bonnie tried to play if off, but Anastasia knew different than that, being part witch herself.
"Ask her to show you a sign. Ask her." Caroline says before doing it herself, "Emily, if you're among us, show another sign."
They waited for a moment, but nothing happened.
"See? It's not working." Bonnie says just as the windows burst open, scaring her and Anastasia who had both been sitting closest to the windows. "I can't. I'm done."
Bonnie ripped the necklace from her neck, throwing it on the ground next to the burning candle, which then blew out on it's own, scaring them all.
"Get the light. Please, get the light!" Anastasia called out.
"Hold on. I got it." Elena turns the light back on as the girls look around.
"You guys, the necklace. It's gone."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"WHAT ARE we doing here?" Damon asked as him and Stefan walked onto the football field at the high school.
"Bonding. Catch." Stefan held a football in his hands before throwing it, "Give it a try."
"Don't forget who taught you how to play this game." Damon tossed it back to him.
The two of them stat to play, each other them running around with supernatural speed, until Stefan tackles Damon to the grass, both of them groaning in pain.
"That hurt." Damon grunted out.
"Downside of my diet - getting hit actually hurts a little bit." Stefan tells him, both of them still laying on the football field.
"I'm impressed, Stefan. Fun with booze and darts, sentimental with football, and now? Starry night. What do you want, Stefan?" Damon asked his little brother, both of them sitting up.
"It wasn't real, Damon. Our love for Katherine." Says Stefan, "She compelled us. We didn't have a choice. Took me years to sort that out, to truly understand why she did to us."
Damon stood up from the ground, "Oh, no, Stefan. We are not takin' that on tonight." He started to walk away.
"What do you want with Katherine's crystal?" Stefan asked him.
Damon stopped walking, "How do you know about that?"
"Come on. You knew Elena would tell me."
"How do you know it was Katherine's? Emily gave it to her on her last night. I was with her, and you weren't."
"I was the last one to see her, Damon." Stefan says, "Now, what do you want with Katherine's crystal?"
"She didn't tell you?"
"We had other things on our mind." Stefan said.
Damon uses his speed to get into Stefan's face, "I could rip your heart out and not think twice about it."
"I've heard that before. But my niece, your daughter, would definitely never forgive you then." Stefan smirked.
"I have a bigger surprise, Stefan." Damon slowly backs away, "I'm gong to bring her back."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
THE FOUR girls now stood in the middle of Elena's bedroom in shock that the necklace was actually missing from where it once was.
"Okay, fun's over, Caroline." Elena tells her blonde friend as Anastasia and Bonnie looked under Elena's bed for the necklace, "You made your point, and i get it. Now, give it back. "
"What? Well, I don't have it." Caroline says as Elena looks behind her, "What? What happened?"
"I don't know. Nothing." Elena walked towards her bedroom door, "Jeremy, are you home?"
Bonnie looked around the room, turning to find the necklace sitting on the mat in Elena and Jeremy's shared bathroom. "Guys...." The bathroom door slammed shut on her, "You guys, open the door! Help me!"
"Bonnie!"
Elena and Caroline rushed to try and get the bathroom door open from Elena's room while Anastasia rushed into Jeremy's bedroom to try and get the door open from that side, using her strength for extra help.
"What's going on?!"
"Bonnie!"
After struggling to get the doors open, everything suddenly grew quiet and Bonnie opened the bathroom door to Elena's room just as Anastasia came rushing in from Jeremy's bedroom.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Elena asked the dark skinned girl.
Bonnie looked up at them, "I'm fine."
"Unbelievable." Caroline scoffed, "You were totally faking it."
"Caroline, come on." Elena says.
"No, you scared the hell out of me." Caroline said.
"Bonnie?" Anastasia questioned, worried for the Bennett witch.
"I'm fine. Everything's fine."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"HOW CAN you bring Katherine back?" Stefan followed his brother towards the school parking lot.
"Before Katherine and the others were killed in the church, you remember what it was like in this town?!" Damon asked his brother.
"I remember the fear and the hysteria." Stefan replied.
"Townspeople were killing vampires one by one." Damon said, "When they came for Katherine, I went straight to Emily, said "I'll do anything. Name your price. Just protect her". She did."
"How?" Stefan questioned.
"She did some kind of spell with the crystal. And while the church was burning, we thought Katherine was burning in it." Damon tells him, "She wasn't."
"But I saw her go inside."
"There's a tomb underneath the church. The spell sealed Katherine in that tomb, protecting her."
"Are you telling me that Katherine's alive?" Stefan looked at her brother in shock.
"If that's what you wanna call it." Damon says, "She's been trapped in a mystical holding cell for the last century and a half, but you're an expert on starving a vampire, so how do you think she's doing, Stefan? Did you know that witches can use celestial events to draw energy into their magic? Me either. But in order to give the crystal power, Emily used the comet that was passing overhead, and in order for that crystal to work again..."
"The comet has to return."
"Downside....Long time in between comets and a couple of hiccups along with way with the crystal but the comet passed, and I got the crystal." Damon tells his brother, "And then Caroline got the crystal and here we are."
"Why would Emily...why would she do this for you?" Stefan asked.
"Because she knew they were gonna come for her, too, and she made me promise that her lineage would survive." Damon said.
"I remember. You save her children."
"It's the only thing keeping me from ripping that little Bonnie girl's throat out to get my crystal back. Well, a deal's a deal." Damon shrugged, "So...you wanna throw some more?"
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"I CAN'T believe I fell for it." Caroline says as Anastasia had her arms crossed over her chest as she looked over at Bonnie.
Something wasn't right with the girl who, moment before, had been screaming and trapped in the bathroom.
"Are you okay?" Elena asked Bonnie, who was being possessed by Emily's spirit.
"I must go." Emily says through Bonnie, walking down the stairs.
"She's leaving, I'm leaving." Caroline stated.
"You guys can't leave." Elena tells them.
"I can. I've had enough freaky fake witch stuff for one night." Caroline said.
"Thank you for helping me. I'll take it from here." Emily/Bonnie says.
"Where are you going?" Anastasia eyed her.
"Back to where it all began, Eloise." Emily/Bonnie tells her.
"Bonnie! Bonnie!" Elena called as Bonnie walked down the stairs, "Oh, my god."
"Emily!" Anastasia called.
"I won't let him have it." Emily/Bonnie says, continuing to walk down the stairs, "It must be destroyed."
"Wait!" Elena called as the front door slammed shut after Emily/Bonnie walked out of it.
"What's happening?" Caroline asked.
"I don't know. The door, it's not..." Elena tried to pull the door open but it wouldn't budge.
The three girls let out screams as the door was forced open and Jeremy walked inside the dark house.
"What the hell?"
"I'm outta here." Caroline runs out of the house.
"Call Stefan." Elena tells the vampire.
"Already on it." Anastasia tells her as she rushes down the porch of the Gilbert house, "I'll be back, Jeremy! Elena, stay here!"
"Stacie!" Jeremy calls after her, "What the hell is going on, Elena?"
"Just stay here!" Elena tells him as she runs after Anastasia, who was getting inside her car, "I'm going with you!"
"What's wrong?" Stefan answered his niece's phone call as she puts her car in reverse after Elena forced her way inside and she peeled off of the street.
Elena took Anastasia's phone out of her hand, putting it on speaker, "It's Bonnie."
"What happened?"
"Emily's possessing her." Anastasia told her uncle, pressing her foot down harder on the gas pedal.
"She said something." Elena tells him, holding on tightly to the seat, scared of Anastasia's driving.
"What did she say?"
"She said, "I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed"." Anastasia repeated Bonnie - Emily - from just moments ago, "And then she just left. Uncle Stefan, what the hell is going on?"
"I"ll tell you everything later." Stefan tells her, "Where do you think she went?"
"I don't know." Elena shook her head, "Fell's Church, by the old cemetery. That's where she took Bonnie in her dreams. We have to stop her, Stefan."
"Just stay at your house, Elena. I'm going to find her." Stefan tells her.
"Too late for that. Elena jumped herself into my car before I even left her yard." Anastasia tells her uncle before mumbling under her breath, "Pathetic humans. Always doing dumb as shit."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"HELLO, EMILY." Damon spoke as they stood in front of the old burned down church, "You look different."
"I won't let you."
"We had a deal." Damon tells the ghost possessing Bonnie's body.
"Things are different now." Emily/Bonnie says, "I need to protect my family."
"I protected your family. You own me." Damon tells her.
"I know. I'm sorry."
"You're about to be a lot more sorry than that." Damon tells her as he sped towards her.
Emily quickly threw her hand out, throwing Damon back against a three, making the branches impale his body.
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"SO, YOU found the boxes." Jenna says to her nephew, walking into the kitchen after saying goodnight to Alaric on the porch.
"I found this too." Jeremy says, holding up a photo of her and Logan.
"Me and Logan." Jenna looks at it, "That's cruel."
"Cruel is dating my history teacher." Jeremy tells her, "I already have my girlfriend flirting with him."
"I'm not dating him. Yet." Jenna says before looking at her nephew, "Wait, you and Anastasia are dating? Since when?"
Jeremy looked down with a blush, "I'm not dating her. Yet."
Jenna laughed, slapping his shoulder, "You should make a move already. You know, before someone else comes along and sweeps off of her feet."
❱ 🌿⋆。˚
"OH, THAT hurt." Damon groaned as Stefan rushes over to his brother, helping him off the tree, "This is why I feed on people."
"Stefan." Emily/Bonnie spoke.
"Hello, Emily." Stefan tells the ghost as he looks at Bonnie.
"These people don't deserve this." Emily/Bonnie tells them. "They should never have to know such evil."
"What do you mean?" Stefan asked her.
"Emily, I swear to god, I'll make you regret this." Damon says as Anastasia suddenly appears, having left Elena to find her own way to the Fell's Church.
"I won't let you unleash them into this world."
"Them?" Stefan says, turning to his brother. "Which part of the story did you leave out, Damon?"
"What does it matter?" Damon grunts as he stands up.
"Emily, tells us what you did." Anastasia says as she joins her uncle and father.
"To save her, I had to save them." Emily/Bonnie tells them.
"Save who?" Anastasia questioned, only knowing what Stefan wanted her to know.
After all, she was only four years old back 1864.
"You saved everyone in the church?" Asked Stefan.
"With one, comes all."
"I don't care about them." Damon says, "I just wanted Katherine."
Anastasia's eyes began to water as she gasped, looking at her father in betrayal and sadness, "Katherine?"
"I knew I shouldn't have believed a single word that comes out of your mouth." Stefan tells his brother, yanking his niece over to him, "This isn't about love, is it? This is about revenge."
"The two aren't mutually exclusive." Damon tells his brother.
"Damon, you can't do this." Stefan says as Anastasia lets a tear roll down her cheek.
"Why not?!" Damon exclaimed in anger, "They killed twenty-seven people, and they called it a war battle! They deserve what they get."
"Twenty-seven vampires, Damon. They were vampires." Stefan said, "You can't just bring them back."
"This town deserves this."
"You're blaming innocent people for something that happened 145 years ago, Dad." Anastasia says, her voice cracking.
Damon looked at his daughter, "There is nothing innocent about these people, and don't think for a second that it won't happen again. They already know too much, and they'll burn your little grandwitch right next to us when they find out." He looks over at Emily/Bonnie, "Trust me."
"Things are different now." Emily/Bonnie says.
"Don't do this."
"I can't free them." Emily/Bonnie tells the vampire, "I won't. Indendia!"
Flames grew around Bonnie/Emily, Stefan pushing his niece behind him as the three vampires backed up so that they wouldn't get burned.
"No! No, please!" Damon called out.
"Bonnie!" Elena runs towards them only to be stopped by Stefan.
"No!" Damon screamed as Emily ripped the necklace from Bonnie's neck, throwing it into the air and destroying it.
"No!" Anastasia screamed as Damon raced over and bit into the witches neck once the flames had disappeared.
Stefan rips his brother from Bonnie as she screamed out loudly, falling to the ground. He got on his knees, brought his head down to her chest to listen for any sign of her heart beating.
"She's alive, but barely. I can save her." Stefan bites into his writs and puts it to Bonnie's mouth.

"IT WAS for Katherine." Anastasia now stood in front of her father, Stefan following after her, "You only came back to Mystic Falls because Katherine is buried under some tomb?"
"Eloise." Stefan tries to stop her.
"No, Uncle Stefan. I've been keeping my emotions bottled up for so many goddamn years!" Anastasia says, "You didn't come back because you wanted to actually try and be a father. You came back because you wanted your little conquest to be freed!"
"I should've know better than to get my hopes up, thinking that you actually cared, that you actually wanted to act like my father! You haven't been a father in 133 fucking years! And you never will be!"
Damon looked up at his daughter, tears rolling down her beautiful face, one that resembled both him and her mother to no end, listening and taking in each, and every, word that came from her mouth, which felt like just another stab to his heart.
"I hate you." Her voice breaks. "I. Hate. You."
"Anastasia Eloise Salvatore!" Stefan looks at his niece.
Anastasia lets out a scoff, turning on the heels of her feet and walking away.
"Katherine never compelled me." Damon spoke, choosing not to show any emotion about what his daughter had said to him, "I knew everything every step of the way. It was real for me. I'll leave now."
"And not fix things with your daughter?" Stefan asked him.
"You heard her." Damon says, turning his head so that Stefan doesn't see the tear rolling down his face, "She hates me."

"I DON'T understand, Elena." Bonnie says as she and Elena stood at Anastasia's car, "What happened to me. He attacked me, and his face was like...."
"How do yo feel? Are you okay?" Elena asked.
"I'm fine. It's just this blood. I don't..." Bonnie trailed off as she noticed Stefan and Anastasia standing behind her.
"We're not gonna hurt you." Stefan tells Bonnie.
"What's going on?" The Bennett witch asked.
"I'll explain everything, okay? Let's just get out of here. Look at me." Elena tells Bonnie, "Trust me. He's not going to hurt you. Come on. Come on."
"I'll take you both home." Anastasia says, unlocking her car door and opening the passenger door for Bonnie, deciding that Elena could ride in the back.
"Is she in danger of becoming....." Elena trails off once Anastasia closed her best friend into her car.
"No, she has to die with my blood in her system, so keep an ey on her tonight and make sure that nothing happens and once it leaves her system, she'll be fine." Stefan said.
"I'm going to tell her the truth." Elena looked between the two.
"Are you sure?" Stefan asked.
"I can trust her. I need someone to know, someone to talk to other than Anastasia." Elena tells him, "I can't live in secret."
"I know that." Stefan tells her, "Shouldn't have to."
"You saved her life. I'm sorry, Stefan. I thought that...I couldn't be with you, but I can." Elena says, leaving Anastasia to roll her eyes at the human before making her way to the driver side of her car, waiting for the conversation to be over so she could take Elena and Bonnie to the Gilbert house, "You don't have to push me away. I can do this."
"I can't. I have to leave." Stefan says, "Too many people have died. Too much has happened."
"What? No, I know you think you're protecting me, but...."
"I have to. Coming home was...it was a mistake. I can't be apart of your life anymore." Stefan tells her.
"Don't go, Stefan. Please...you don't have to do this. This is your home. Please, don't go." Elena pleaded with the vampire.
"Goodbye, Elena." Stefan says, turning and walking away.
"You're just gonna walk away?!" Elena called after him, "Don't walk away, Stefan! Stefan!"
"Elena." Anastasia stood next to her now opened door, "Come on. It's cold and Bonnie needs to go somewhere warm."

ONCE THE three girls made it back to Elena's house, Anastasia left the two girls in Elena's bedroom when they came inside, smiling at Jenna as she made her way up the stairs and into Jeremy's bedroom.
The teenage boy laid asleep in his bed with a leather journal in his hand.
Carefully picking it up, she glanced at it, noticing that it was dated back to 1864.
Anastasia quietly took her shoes off her feet and the jacket off her shoulders, crawling into the small bed next to Jeremy.
"Stacie?" Jeremy mumbled sleepily as the movement woke him up from his slumber.
"Shh, it's me." She whispered, brushing his hair back, "Go back to sleep. I'll be here in the morning."
Nodding, the boy slowly starts to dose back off as Anastasia ran her fingers through his hair, watching his chest rise and fall as he slept soundly.
She knew that she didn't want to hurt the boy, but maybe leaving when her uncle did was the best decision for everyone in the small town of Mystic Falls.
