"Mom I'm home! I brought a guest!" Bokuto shouted the second he and Akaashi stepped through the front door into a warm house.
"Oh, welcome back! And who's the guest?" his mother shouted back, she was probably in the kitchen or a living room. Damnit, they are so loud.
"My..friend from school" Bokuto had to pause a little bit, because the realization that he's still in the friendzone had hit him.
"Excuse me for intrusion" Akaashi spoke in a soft voice.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you. I hope Bokuto behaves himself well. Will you boys need anything? I can order some pizza if you want" his mother suddenly cheered up at the sight of Akaashi.
"That would be nice. C'mon Akaashi, let's go to my room" Bokuto started dragging Akaashi upstairs to his room. It was probably the best since it had a balcony.
His room wasn't that heavily decorated except for drums on one side of the room and a couple of own plushies on the bed.
"You practise a lot, don't you?" Akaashi asked as he put his bag on the ground.
"Yeah, Kuroo hates it though. I mean, since I have school and after that I usually visit my grandparents too, I can only practise in the evening. Unfortunately, Kuroo does his homework at that time. He ends up throwing rocks at my window" Bokuto laughed and smiled at the other.
"I can kinda understand him, but then again, I also practise in the evenings. Only difference is that neighbours love listening to me playing the saxophone" Akaashi sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Obviously. Alright, so my mom will order pizza, we have cola in the fridge and we can watch some movies if you want to. I also hear that the sky is clear tonight, we can go stargazing" Bokuto suggested. He had the cutest smile on his face and his cheeks were red.
He was nervous - that's a fact. He knew that he likes Akaashi in a bit more different way than a simple friend. He wasn't sure if it was just a teenage crush or not, but he knew that he wanted Akaashi close to him.
"Sure, we can watch something till it gets dark" Akaashi smiled and soon the two were comfortably sitting on the bed.
Bokuto had brought cola and pizza upstairs, the laptop was all ready to use. The two couldn't decide what to watch so they pressed a random letter and chose the first movie to come up. It was Ice Age 3. You know, the one with dinosaurs.
"Ah, dinosaurs. I love dinosaurs. Did you see the making of this movie? They spent weeks on it" Akaashi said as the movie started and Sid decided to take the random eggs, and call them his children.
"I know right? I mean, they did a good ass job though. I love this movie. Especially the scene where they are flying on those...uhh..creatures. I don't know how they are called" Bokuto suddenly felt a bit dumb and flustered.
"It's fine, I know what you're talking about" Akaashi chuckled and smiled at Bokuto. That smile could end wars.
After eating the whole pizza and finishing the movie, they realized how dark it was. They did come to Bokuto's house quite late.
"The moon is supposed to be full today too. Maybe we'll even see a shooting star" Bokuto said as he opened the balcony door. The cold air immediately rushed in, making Akaashi shiver. Maybe he should have put on a sweater.
"Oh, are you cold?" Bokuto asked as he noticed the other hiding his hands in his pockets.
"A bit" Akaashi smiled.
Bokuto went to his closet and took out his favorite hoodie, he handed it to Akaashi who put it on in an instant. He looked adorable in that oversized hoodie, more adorable than ever.
After that Bokuto turned off the lights in the room and they both stepped into the balcony. Just as Bokuto said, the sky was crystal clear, the stars were more visible than ever.
It's as if the sky was like that for a reason.
The full moon provided enough light for Bokuto to see Akaashi's face, he was busy observing the stars, the corners of his lips kept rising.
"Oh, a shooting star!" he suddenly said with a big smile on his face.
"Did you make a wish?" Bokuto asked. His tone had calmed down and his heart had stopped beating crazily. The atmosphere calmed him down.
Akaashi turned to him and looked at him, his expression was unreadable.
"Ofcourse I did" He spoke. His voice was quiet, but it echoed in Bokuto's head.
Without hesitation Bokuto took a step forward and leaned in. Their eyes met one last time before their lips touched.
And there, in a pale moon light, the two stood. Their arms wrapped around eachother, their lips melting into one another.
