6 WEEKS LATER

It was now the holidays and 6 weeks since the JSA saved the country. A month and a half since the death of Jordan Mahkent and his family were still clueless. To Cameron's knowledge, he had gone on another business trip but to his grandparents they thought he had to go into hiding because his plan with the amplifier had failed.

Tomorrow the Dumonts were going to the Whitemore's for a Christmas get together.

To say that Jordan's death was eating up Melaina it would be an understatement. While Josie was too busy hanging out with Courtney to even notice the girls dilemma.

To the rest of the Justice Society, Jordan's death was a victory. But to Melaina his death may have made things 100 times worse.

For one her knowledge of his death has and will put a strain on her relationship with Cameron and the Mahkents. Secondly Jordan's death had just pilled up on the stress and anxiety of Henry's death.

Josephine on the other hand had been having the time of her life. Ever since they won her and Courtney have done some small things together as well as a few big ones.

The problem was that everyone was so happy celebrating their big win along with Josephine who was so lovestruck that they didn't realise how mentally unstable the girl was becoming.

There were times when Melaina wasn't at her best but there were also times when she felt like she was filled with butterflies.

She's supposed to meet up with Cameron later.

She loved spending time with him more than anything. But even though spending time with him made her happy it also triggered her guilty conscious as well. She knew better than anyone how much Cameron loved his father, despite him not being there for most of his life.

If and when the truth comes out. She knew that he would never forgive her.

And if she was honest that was her biggest fear.

Melaina had been lying in bed for a few hours and decided to get out of bed. She quickly showered and changed into high waist striped jeans with a plain button up blue shirt that she tucked in as well as a pair of white converse.

She sprayed and brushed her hair out and decided to leave it out. She then got a pair of silver studs and a few bangles before spraying on some perfume.

She quickly packed a small bag and put on a trench coat before her mom dropped her off at Cameron's. Lucky for them his grandparents were out.

"Hey baby." He greeted as he pecked her lips and let her in.

"So what do we have planned for today?" Melaina chirped as she placed her bag on the couch.

"Well I thought that we could do some baking. And then we could see where the day takes us." He suggested as he snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her closer while placing soft kisses on her neck making her giggle and turn around giving him a gentle kiss.

"Okay...okay we need to." She paused as he cupped her face and pulled her into another kiss making the girl giggle and she kissed back. "We need to start with the cake." She insisted as she pulled him towards the kitchen.

It took them half an hour to finish the batter of the cake and put it in the oven. They were cleaning up when Melaina took a handful of flour and blew some flour onto the boy making him do the same thing. They threw flour at eachother until Melaina tried running foward to him making her fall backwards and landing on the floor. They both laughed before Cameron helped her up and they quickly went to clean up.

They came back after 20 minutes to take it out and another 15 to add frosting before they served themselves some cake and sat down infront of the TV and turned on some Netflix.

"Cami?" Melaina called as she ate some more of the cake.

"Yeah hun?"

"Thank you. For today."

"Anytime baby." He responded before kissing her forehead.

They continued watching their movie. Melaina was lying on top of Cameron with her head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her with a blanket covering them both. Every now and then Cameron would kiss the top if her head or play with her hair.

They were spending as much time with eachother before Cameron would leave for Norway tomorrow as he would only be back the day before New year's eve.

She should treasure these moments, for soon they would all vanish .
