naomi smiled as she walked through the halls covered in pink and red decorations and happy couples. even if she never had a valentines she still enjoyed the holiday. love was all around it was infectious-

"valentines day sucks ass." lily groaned catching up to naomi interrupting her thoughts.

the girl smiled. "it's not that bad lils besides all the people around you in love, it's nice." 

lily shrugged. "the only person i want in love with me is andrew garfield."

naomi giggled nodding. they both had a unhealthy obsession with the man. as they walked to class they saw all the couples holding hands or giving one and other flowers and chocolate. 

lily nudged naomi getting her to look to the right seeing the new kid looking at her.

"go on go talk to him! if you don't want walker this is the second best." lily whispered linking arms with the girl and pushing her over to the boy.

"wait lily-" she exclaimed but stopped as now the boy was in front of her and lily had ran off. 

"hey." the boy smiled running his hand through his hair.

naomi thought she could've folded on the spot.

"hi." she spoke smiling.

"oh i'm sorry i don't think i ever caught your name?" the boy asked.

"it's naomi. and yours?" 

"nick."

"nice to meet you nick." she smiled.

"nice to meet you too naomi, do you think you'd want to go out tonight?" he quickly stuttered out fiddling with the pencil in his head.

"oh! sure." she smiled feeling heat rise to her cheeks. thank god he wouldn't see her blush.

nick gave her his number and said he'd see her later.

naomi squealed running away to find lily

"lily!!!" naomi exclaimed taking her seat next to the girl in the courtyard.

"what mimi? i'm trying to slide into andrew garfield's dms." lily explained focused on her phone.

"i got a date!"

lily looked up at the girl and dropped her phone. "you got a date!!!" she shouted jumping up and down with the girl. "oh my god who??"

"the new guy nick." naomi squealed.

"yay!!! oh my god when we get off school i'll come over and help you pick a outfit!!"

they both looked at each other and giggled.

this was going to be fun right?

naomi stood in her room as lily and dior shuffled through her closest looking for a outfit for the girl. nick had texted her that they were going to go to semi fancy restaurant around 7 o'clock. so they had about 3 hours to get naomi ready.

she had assured them that she could pick herself out a outfit but the two girls wouldn't listen.

"ooh let's do this dress!" lily said pulling out a naomi's old neon orange formal dress. she held it up to the girl but immediately shook her head when she saw the pizza stain on it.

"i forgot that happened." naomi apologized laughing a bit.

"oh my god! this on for sure!" lily exclaimed looking at something in her closest. dior walked over to see what is was and immediately nodded. "yes this is the one."

naomi walked over to them to see lily holding up her one piece white suit romper with small cut outs on the side. "when'd that get in there?" 

dior and lily both turned and looked at the girl who just shrugged.

"you really need to keep up with your closest." 

"i try."

naomi admired herself in the mirror as they had just got done with her outfit. she had put on the romper and some white heels and straightened her hair.

dior had done her makeup and lily had done her nails. you would have thought she was going to a met gala she was so done up.

"perfect!" lily said looking at the girl.

"you think so?" naomi said fiddling with her rings.

"girl i know so." lily assured her.

the girls heard the doorbell ring and naomi ran over to her window and saw a car in the parking lot. "oh shit he's here."

dior and lily ran over and looked with her and saw nick getting out of the car.

"wait how old is he?" dior asked as he was getting out of the drivers seat.

"oh um i think fifteen." naomi said. the doorbell rang so they all ran downstairs. lily handed naomi her purse and her sunglasses.

"have fun sis." dior smiled.

naomi gave her a hug, "i will." she opened the door to see nick standing there with flowers.

"these are for you." he smiled holding out a bundle of white roses. naomi had thank'd him and handed them too lily her told her she'd put them in a vase. 

"shall we." nick asked holding out his arm. she nodded linking her arms with his.

"we shall." 

and there they were headed to the car on the way to the restaurant.

turns out they were at a nice sushi restaurant. naomi loved sushi so that was a good start. at first starting a conversation was a little awkward but it got better. they talked about sports, grades, and life in LA.

"wait so you can drive?" she asked taking a drink of her diet coke. she didn't care it was diet, she loved it.

"yeah, i'm a sophomore." he said.

the girl tried to piece it together in her head figuring out his age. "so your fifteen?"

"yep, sixteen in a few weeks. i just got my license early." he explained. 

she nodded. the girl thought he was 17 for a second. 

"thanks for coming out with me on such short notice." he thanked the girl who nodded telling him it was no problem. 

"maybe next time we can go to the fair or something?" he asked.

naomi nodded, wait next time? he must really like her, she thought. but her thoughts were interrupted when a pair of voices snapped her out of it. she looked up and saw aryan and charlie standing there.

"well hey there naomi." said aryan smiling. he was up to something and she knew it.

"hey aryan, charlie. what are you guys doing here?" she asked.

"oh you know just hanging." charlie said leaning on aryan making him trip and fall over. the girl covered her mouth to hide a laugh knowing they were about to get themselves kicked out. 

"excuse me do you guys have a reservation?" a man spoke looking at the two boys who quickly looked at each other and scrambled out.

the dark skinned girl laughed and looked at nick. "oh i'm really sorry about them, there my friends." she apologized.

"it's all good. you ready to leave?" he asked pulling out his wallet.

"oh i can pay for mine." she insisted grabbing her wallet but nick set his hand on hers stopping her and setting his card on the table.

"i can, my treat."

she relunctatly sighed. "fine."

he chuckled. "gotta be a gentlemen."

maybe this new nick guy wouldn't be so bad after all.
