naomi skated across the ice, going back and forth the puck going back and forth on the ice as she got closer to the goal. 

she went to hit the puck into the goal but lily flew in front of her taking the puck away and going the other way. she quickly sped up getting behind the girl sweeping the puck away at their feet. 

naomi dashed down to the goal and swung her stick and the puck flew right into the goal.

"got it!" she cheered taking her helmet off and tossing it on the ice. lily skated over to her with a frown on her face.

"hey! you gotta let me practice too mimi!" lily whined dropping her stick on the ground.

naomi laughed as she brushed her hair out of her face. "sorry lils, i gotta get ready for tryouts for a spot during championships."

lily sighed nodding. "those aren't for like 2 months though."

"i know, but i gotta make it."

"wait don't you have a date today?" lily asked squinting her eyes.

"huh?" naomi's mind was blank for a sec then realizing she was supposed to meant leena and walker at the mall today. "oh shitballs! i'm supposed to meet leena and walker at the mall!"

"want me to call dior to come get us?"lily asked as they skated over to the door heading to the locker rooms to change.

"sure, i told adam i'd make sure i locked everything back up for him."

"okay, ooh wait! can i pick out your outfit?!" lily squealed as she went to call dior.

"sure lily." naomi smiled.

"yay!! i was thinking some kind of disco-"

"blah blah blah i can't hear you!!!" naomi shouted as she ran off.

naomi stood in the mirror staring at the what felt like the millionth outfit option lily picked out for her. lily walked back into the room holding naomi and dior's cat and gasped at her best friends outfit.

"oh my god! i should be a fashion designer." lily grinned hyping the girl up who started to smile. "isn't this so cute? of course you agree with me little cutie." lily baby talked to draco.

"lily?"

"yeah?"

"draco's shaking." naomi pointed looking at her poor cat who was shaking in lilys arms. lily looked down at the cat and her mouth gaped open before speaking.

"that's because he fell down the stairs."

 "he what?!"

lily shrugged her off before setting the cat down on the  bed and going and standing next to naomi in the mirror. the dark skinned girl was wearing a black lana del rey shirt and a pair of green cargos. and of course silver jewelry and a pair of red high top platform converse.

lily ran into the girls closet saying something about needing a purse to match and came out with naomi's purse that was in the shape of chinese takeout.

"this outfit screams you." lily said as she admired the girl in the mirror. naomi smiled at the girl as she put two little butterfly clips in her hair.

the doorbell rang so naomi went to look out the window since you could see the driveway and saw what she figured was leena's car. "wait i thought i was meeting them there?" she questioned.

lily shrugged and finished up naomi's hair. "maybe walker wanted to see you sooner." she teased.

"lily! i told you it's just getting to know him! like friends."

"friends my ass, you know what? if i was going out with andrew garfield it would not be as friends." lily scoffed.

"babes your making no sense." stated naomi as she picked her phone up off the bed and filled up her purse.

"naomi!! get your ass down here!" dior shouted from downstairs. naomi really did think she could be in a horror movie with how loud she could shout.

"i'm coming dummy!" she shouted back but her voice cracked making her face turn red in embarrassment.

naomi headed downstairs and lily told her she would pick up her room for her so naomi didn't have to worry about it. but the dark skinned girl knew it wasn't going to get picked up and lily was going to lay on her bed for the whole day watching tv.

when she stepped off the stairs and headed into the living room she saw her sister, leena, and walker tossing goldfish at each other.

"ow!" walker exclaimed rubbing his eye. naomi figure dior had thrown a goldfish at his eye. she had a habit of throwing stuff in peoples eye region.

"oh hey naomi!" leena said turning her head and seeing the girl standing behind the couch. naomi gave a small wave, and hello and walked over to stand in front of the couch.

walker looked up at naomi and got all flustered confusing her once more. "hi walker." she smiled.

"h-hi." he stumbled over his words. leena picked up a pillow and slammed it on top of his head making him curse and throw one back at her.

"sorry not sorry loser." she shrugged tossing a handful of goldfish in her mouth. "you ready to go naomi?"

naomi nodded, the two scobell siblings got up from the couch and they headed to the door after they said bye to dior.

at first the car ride was a little awkward cause leena was the only one talking and walker just sat there rapidly texting who knows who.

"wait you play hockey right?" leena asked looking at naomi through the mirror.

"yep."

"walker plays too." she said looking at walker who looked at her confused.

"no i- oh yeah i do!" he said nodding vigorously. naomi smiled. maybe they could be friends.

"cool! what team do you play on? maybe yours going to the championship in new york." naomi asked.

walked hesitated before responding, "oh you know i don't really have the time for a team anymore. acting stuff." he shrugs propping his leg up and crossing his arms in attempt of looking chill.

"oh, well that sucks. but you get to act so that's pretty cool." spoke naomi. 

"yeah i'm off for a bit now, you know chilling." he said. naomi heard what sounded like muffled choking and she looked to see leena holding in what looked like a laugh?

"shut up leena." walker muttered.

"i'm your driver bro don't test me." leena threatened turning back and looking at him.

"eyes on the road dumbass! we have other people in the car." walker complained.

naomi giggled at there bickering. yeah she and dior bickered but it was over stuff like who was hotter. pope heyward or rafe cameron from outerbanks.

rafe definitely.

after walker and leena kept arguing about the older scobell's driving skills they finally made it to the mall. 

at first it was kind of awkward. walking around the mall with leena spurting out random sentences.

"did the chicken or egg come first?"

"im hungry."

"i got hit in the head with a pickle."

walker groaned and turned and faced his sister. "are you done?" 

leena smiled. "not unless you two go do something. i planned on meeting people here." walker looked at her incredulously.

"you don't know anyone here!"

"we can go to the arcade that's here?" spoke naomi. "it's only a few spaces down."

leena quickly agreed and ran off going who knows where.

"come on blondie, i think there's a mario cart game somewhere."

"o-ok." walker stumbled as naomi dragged him with her.

naomi and walker ended up getting along pretty well. walker finally stopped stuttering over his words, and conversation came more easily.

they had a lot more in common then she thought.

"wait so you actually read the percy jackson books?" naomi asked as they walked around the arcade looking for a new game to do.

"obviously, i read them when i was in like 3rd grade." walker explained. "it's the best book series to exist."

the girl laughed, "i just figured you didn't really know anything about them until you watched the show."

"yeah no way i'm a fan- oh! let's do this one." spoke the boy as he headed over to a claw machine.

naomi shook her head. "oh no these get me stressed."

walker shrugged her off and said it would be fine. that's what he thought at least.

 after about 15 attempts and practically 50 dollars spent and lots of cursing he gave up."this is a bunch of bullshit!" he exclaimed kicking the machine. 

"jeez walker there's kids in here!" naomi whisper shouted lightly hitting him on the arm.

"i'm sure they've heard worse." he argued.

"ooh let's do a photo booth!" suggested naomi going over to the small booth. walker agreed and they both squeezed into the small booth. 

"wait we need to plan this out first." 

"huh?" he asked.

naomi sighed jokingly rolling her eyes. "you can't just go in a photo booth without a plan. it goes super fast and you must be prepared."

walker starting grinning, naomi had no clue why. 

"i think we need to start with- walker!!!"

walker had clicked the start button giving her no time to think what to do at all. first they made a funny face. that was naomi sticking her tongue out and walker crossed his eyes. they they did a smiling one. and soon as they went to do the last one they bumped heads and it clicked right in the middle of both of them complaining and rubbing there heads.

"ouch!"

"i think i've got a concussion."

"relax drama queen." naomi spoke to walker who gasped.

"i'm injured!"

before she could respond walker phone began to ring to he grabbed it out of his pocket and answered.

"what leena." walker spoke into the phone. 

"we've got to go, i guess our flight got changed to tomorrow so my mom wants us to pack." he said to the girl who nodded and said it was okay.

"huh? dude stop. bye leena." he grumbled into the phone before hanging up.

"what?" naomi asked him.

"no-"

"stop swapping spit and get out! it's my turn!" a voice complained from outside of the photo booth. walkers face turned flushed and he scrambled out, naomi followed to see a little boy maybe around 8.

"we weren't swapping spit kid." walker defended. the kid just rolled his eyes and stomped pass them into the photo booth.

naomi and walker looked at each other before laughing.

"well i had fun hanging out today." naomi said as they walked to the front of the mall.

"yeah! i'm not sure when i'll be back here. since i live in pennsylvania."

naomi nodded telling him she understood. 

"yo over here!" leena shouted across the mall holding lots of bags and a bowl of ice cream.

the two teens walked over to leena who was smiling at them.

"sooo? how'd your little date go." 

naomi laughed thinking it was a joke while walker went red.

"i told walker we'll have to hang out sometime again when you guys are back in town." naomi said looking at walker who's face was slowly going back to normal.

"yeah! now let's go. i have to drop you off at your house and my mom was complaining walker left his clothes all over the hotel." leena laughed. "especially his batman onesie."

"what the hell leena! i do not!" 

leena and naomi doubled over in laughter as they walked to the car as walker just crossed his arms and kept saying leena was lying.

when they made it back to the goodjohn house naomi said her goodbyes. the girl gave walker a side hug making him flush red.

she really had no clue why that kept happening in him.

"well i'll see you guys hopefully another time." naomi smiled to the scobell siblings.

"see ya." spoke walker. 

"bye naomi!" leena exclaimed. "walker will text you."

walker quickly nodded. "yeah sure but you know only if-"

"you can walker." she smiled. naomi her goodbyes one last time before walking up to the house as the car pulled away.

soon as she opened the door she was greeted with draco at the doormat shaking.

"aww what's wrong poor baby." she comforted petting her cat. she kicked off her shoes and headed upstairs to see dior and lily both asleep on her bed and empty wrappers and cans everywhere.

naomi giggled quietly before setting draco on the bed and carefully getting in between them, carfeul not to wake them.

she opened her phone and scrolled instagram for a bit. made a post. and got comfy on what little of her bed she had and turned on deadpool.

today wasn't too bad. maybe being friends with dior's friends wouldn't be bad. right?
