Chapter 18 (Bonus)

"The day in a life of Iwaizumi Kings"

(Chapter takes place after the visit to the Yaku Kingdom)

"Rise and shine, it's time to wake up" Hajime said as he pulled the covers away, leaving his husband exposed to the cold.

"Hajime~ I want to sleep more... I need my beauty sleep!" he said as he tried to snatch it away from him, he failed miserably though.

"Today is an important day! Did you forget?" Hajime spoke in a tad more serious tone and Tooru instantly sat up.

"No I didn't. I'm so excited!" he said as he jumped out of the bed.

"Good. Now, the maids are already preparing the outfit for you. I'm going down to the hall. Don't take too long. We have two important people to meet" Hajime said before walking over to Tooru and leaving a kiss on his cheek.

"Okay, okay" he smiled at him and watched as he left the room.

Hajime hurried downstairs, he greeted the maids and Kei on his way to the hall.

Yes, Kei and Yamaguchi were indeed still at their place. Kei was working really hard on the painting. Yamaguchi, who couldn't really help him, insisted on helping the maids and was doing a rather good job.

Hajime opened the doors to the hall and walked in gracefully like a king that he is.

"Your Majesty! He will arrive soon as our guards noticed an object moving towards our kingdom" Mattsun reported as soon and Hajime reached his throne.

"Good, the sooner he arrives, the faster we'll be able to start the training for the younger ones. Tell the maids to prepare extra meals for dinner. And send Makki to check up on Tooru" Hajime ordered. Mattsun nodded and rushed out. He knew how important this day was to both of the kings.

"No need to check up on me! I am already here and I am stunning" Tooru said as he walked into the hall, and you know, he wasn't lying. The outfit was picked out perfectly and Hajime could feel himself falling in love with the idiot over and over again.

"Mattsun said that he's arriving" Hajime told him after he sat down in his throne beside him.

"Ah, finally! We've been waiting for too long. You'll start the training soon, right?" Tooru asked and watched as he nodded.

"Your Highness, we have called the generals here!" Makki announced and let the tall, kinda spooky looking men, walk into the hall. After them followed one of the most gifted strategists Yahaba and Makki with Mattsun.

Both of the kings stood up and waited, they could hear the footsteps approaching the door.

They soon opened revealing a few guards and a man, who's arrival they have been anticipating.

"Hello and welcome to Iwaizumi Kingdom. We are glad that you agreed to our offer" Hajime spoke in a serious tone.

"It is my pleasure. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kyoutani Kentarou and I come from the Yaku grounds" Kyoutani introduced himself.

"It's nice to meet you, Kyoutani. Let me explain exactly what you agreed to. One of our generals who is in charge of the army training has fallen ill. Without him we cannot prepare the legions for the upcoming war, without him our strategist cannot work properly. Therefore, with the recommendation from Prince Yaku Morisuke, we have invited you to take his place. Morisuke wouldn't suggest us a wrong person" Hajime explained as he walked closer to him.

"I understand. I can assure you that I won't let you down" Kyoutani said and bowed to the king before him.

"Good, we'll continue the procedure tomorrow then. Yahaba, show Kyoutani around the castle and the grounds today. Me and Tooru still have an important thing to do" Hajime said as he patted Kyoutani's shoulder.

"Hajime, you forgot to introduce me! I'm Iwaizumi Tooru and I'll be monitoring your work later!" Tooru suddenly rushed to Hajime.

"Okay, understood. It's my pleasure to meet you, Your Highness" Kyoutani bowed once again.

"Now, let's go Hajime! I've been waiting for this for so long!" Tooru started dragging Hajime out of the hall.

"Calm down, will ya'? We have to get the horses ready" he said as Tooru finally released hia hands.

"Fine... I'm still excited" Tooru couldn't stay still.

Hajime ordered the maids and the guards to get everything ready for their leave. The journey wasn't supposed to be long, but it was a bit dangerous as they would be cutting close to the Shiratorizawa lands. Knowing the king of that place, he probably has guards around everywhere and is waiting for the Iwaizumi Kingdom to make a wrong move.

"Right, we'll be close to the Shiratorizawa lands so let's all stick together. The village is right next to the border. Make sure to prepare a couple of sturdy carriages for others, okay? I also want extra tight security around our grounds, we're on the verge of war and one wrong move could cause it" Hajime ordered the knights.

After everything was ready, they finally jumped on their horses and left the castle. The town was in a midst of a rush, since it was cold a lot of people offered hot drinks and dishes to everyone.

One of the things that made Iwaizumi Kingdom so great was the people inside of it. No thefts, no murders, no nothing. The town was full of good people who offered help to eachother. There were no people who lived on the streets, everyone had a home. It made Hajime and Tooru proud to me the kings of a kingdom like this.

As soon as they left the kingdom and started heading west to the corner of the Iwaizumi lands it stopped snowing. Of course, that was good, because Tooru couldn't handle the cold very well.

"Hajime, say, do you think that Morisuke will be okay? Do you think that Lev is a good match for him?" Tooru suddenly asked.

"Yeah, Lev seems like a good man, but we should probably warn them about the Fukurodani kingdom" Hajime said, there was concern in his voice.

"Wait, did you hear something?" Tooru turned his head to him.

"Mattsun didn't tell you? One of our knights went there undercover. It seems like the king has gotten a really smart and powerful strategist, he also heard talks about taking over the  northern kingdoms. That includes the Haiba Kingdom. When Morisuke and Lev will get married, their kingdoms will be combined, which will give them a better chance at winning. If anything, we'll go in. Fukurodani knows that he shouldn't mess with us, he got a taste of that once" Hajime explained everything.

"Oh, damn that Bokuto Koutarou. And who's that strategist?" Tooru became interested. Knowing the king, he would never trust anyone.

"Apparently he used to be a traveller. I was told that his beauty is on the same level as yours, he is also good at archery. The knight said that he has raven black hair and green eyes, pale skin and a scar on his cheek. I don't kno---" Hajime was interrupted.

"That bitch... I know him. Akaashi Keiji, used to live in Oikawa's Kingdom's grounds. We met quite a few times, oh he's smart alright? I think that Morisuke will need our help" Tooru could clearly remember the only person who could match his looks, they always competed against eachother, though in the end Tooru won.

"Oh, this is gonna be more fun that I thought" Hajime laughed quietly under  his breath.

"Your Majesty, we have arrived" one of the knights spoke and Hajime looked forward.

He could see a tiny village in the horizon.

There were two reasons why they came here. First, was a cry for help from the elders of this village. The snow storm took many lives of young and old people, the strongest men and women went out for help, but never came back. As soon as Hajime and Tooru heard this, they planned a trip here. The carriages were for people who were still alive. They planned to bring those people to the kingdom and let them live the rest of their time peacefully.

Actually, the kings had very little knowledge about this village. So they were interested in what kind of culture these people will bring to their place.

And the second reason was....

"Oh, our beloved Kings! We are so thankful that you arrived!" the old woman spoke as the remaining people of the nearly destroyed village gathered.

"Of course. Please, all of you, get into the carriages. We will bring you to the kingdom. And someone said something about..." Tooru spoke and started searching for an old woman with bright blue eyes.

As soon as he spotted her, he dragged Hajime to her.

"You're the one who sent the letter, right?" he asked.

"Yes... My daughter and her husband left, but they never came back... They left their son, he's so little and tiny. It's a miracle that he survived.. My daughter and her husband were good and beautiful people.." the woman spoke.

"No worries. Me and Tooru will take care of the little guy. Where is he?" Hajime said, his heart was beating really fast.

"Come with me.." the woman led them to the tiny house that was still standing on the ground. As they walked inside they felt a wave of warmness wash over them, there were a lot of candles there and a tiny bed.

Tooru and Hajime slowly walked towards it and looked inside. A tiny boy was lying there, he was sleeping. His nose was a bit red and so were his cheeks.

"Please, take care of him" the woman spoke.

"We will. He'll grow up to be a prince" Tooru said as he carefully picked up the boy who instantly clung into his cape.

"He's only one year old. His name is Kunimi Akira" the woman said.

"Thank you for telling us about him. Now please, hurry to the carriages, a storm is approaching" Hajime said and waited till the woman left.

The boy then opened his eyes, they were big and dark brown.

"Hajime... He's.. I'm..." Tooru had a hard time trying not to cry.

"Iwaizumi Kunimi Akira.. We'll finally have a son.. We'll finally be a family" Hajime said and hugged them both.

And once they pulled away they saw a smile on Kunimi's face.
