Five
Alessia Bianci didn't know what to expect when Pierre had told her that he would pick her up from the track but the flashy sports car that revved its way into the car park was not it.
"Ensoleillement, good to see you." He opened the driver's door and stepped out of the expensive looking car. He had a large grin spread across his face and his outfit was definitely better planned than Alessia's had been. He wore a pair of white shorts and a white, cotton shirt to match. It brought out his sun-kissed skin and his ocean blue eyes.
"Pierre, always a pleasure." She nodded her head, her damp curls falling into her eyes. The other athletes couldn't help but stare at the Italian girl and the Formula One driver. Perhaps they had been too quick to judge the Olympian.
He gave her a bright smile, it being able to compete with the Miami sun it was that bright and took her bag from her. It contained several pairs of spikes, her foam roller, resistance bands amongst other essential equipment for athletics. He placed it on the backseat and held the passenger side door open for her.
She returned his smile and as she was about to slip into the passenger seat, she noticed several groups of athletes staring at her. The distance runners, the hurdlers and the high jumpers. If they were going to stare and talk, Alessia was going to give them to watch and talk about. Without a second thought, she pressed her lips to his cheek. Her lips lingered for a couple of seconds and when she decided enough was enough, she allowed herself to sit in the comfort of his luxurious car.
"I thought we could go to the beach, is that okay?" He checked with her as he started to reverse out of the car park. He had one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting on the gear stick. Alessia had no idea what it was but something about how confidently he drove was incredibly attractive.
"I love the beach so that is absolutely perfect." Alessia tried to keep her excitement toned down but Pierre noticed. He glanced momentarily at the girl sitting next to him. He saw how her eyes had twinkled at the mention of the beach and how her whole body language had changed. It was as though she was a little kid, taken over by the excitement of experiencing the beach.
The drive was relatively short and before Alessia knew it, they were at the beach. She could hear the waves crashing against the shore, the seagulls screeching and the remaining kids yelling playfully. The salty breeze hit her the second that she stepped foot out of Pierre's car and for a brief moment, she was transported back to the summers that she spent in Italy as a child.
Pierre, however, had his entire attention on Alessia. He loved the way that the ocean breeze caressed her skin and pushed her hair off of her face. How the sunlight kissed her skin and made her glow, as if she were an angel. Everything about her was mesmerising.
"You ready?" Pierre asked, breaking Alessia out of her trance. He moved so that he was by her side and as they started to walk, a playful smile slowly made its way onto Alessia's face as she came to a halt.
"I'll race you to the water. Go!" The Italian didn't even give the Frenchman a countdown, only disadvantaging him further. Not only was he up against an Olympic athlete, he hadn't even been given a countdown.
Still, Pierre scrambled through the sand to try and get to the water before Alessia did but he had lost before he had even started.
"That's not a fair match, you're preparing for the Olympics!" Pierre exclaimed as he finally reached the water, his eyes landing on the beautiful woman in front of him.
Falling into stride together, Alessia and Pierre walked side by side. They walked the entire length of the beach as the sun went down and the moon started to rise. They spoke about major things, such as their careers and the lives that they lived but they also spoke about the smallest details, such as their favourite colours. Alessia couldn't remember a time in the past eight years that she had laughed so much or felt so comfortable with someone that she had known for no more than twenty-four hours.
"Oh, do you want to see the best view of the beach at night? You'll love it." Alessia suddenly gasped, remembering the spot that she used to go to all the time when she first moved to Miami. It was her safe place. She hadn't even shared it with Clara but for some reason, sharing it with Pierre felt right.
Without a moment of hesitation, Alessia grabbed a hold of Pierre's hand. For the second time that day, a montage of the night before played in her mind. She remembered the feeling of his hands on her waist, on her thighs and on her face. Shivers were sent down her spine and Pierre noticed the goosebumps form on her arms from the very second that his skin made contact with hers.
Alessia and Pierre climbed the steps of a hidden path and when they reached the top, they had the most amazing view of the beach.
"It's beautiful, like you." Pierre admitted, turning his attention from the sea that glistened under the moonlight to the only woman that could possibly compete with the view.
A shy smile appeared on Alessia's face and as the nerves started to get the better of her, she tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear.
"May I?" Pierre asked as he nervously moved his hands so that they pushed her hair off of her face and over her shoulders.
Neither of them knew what had come over them. Never would Alessia have such confidence around a man and never would Pierre be so taken by a woman that he barely knew but things changed.
In a moment that cemented everything in place for both Alessia Bianci and Pierre Gasly, the pair shared yet another kiss under the moonlight.
note from e !
Hello, my loves! Finally another update :) for those of you that don't read my other book, 'Style', I apologise for the lack of updates. Life has just been so hectic lately but with just a few assignments left to go, the boat is steadying and I will finally have time to focus on writing again which I'm really excited about.
In the meantime, to satiate my writing urges and give something back to you guys for being so patient with me, I started an Instagram account with the user mattycashwp and this one will be entirely dedicated to writing. My other account, jamesmaddiscn is my spam account.
Thoughts on the season so far?
- Being a Charles and Ferrari fan, it's been a mess but I'm hoping things can't get any worse. Pierre is doing great though and I'm so excited for him!
Enjoy and stay safe!
Lots of love, e x
