PERSONALITY:
-Aan is a very quiet person. He likes to be a wallflower and prefers being out of the spotlight. He enjoys knowing without being known. He relies on his intellect to get himself what he wants. One thing he isn't, however, is deceitful. He's not manipulative or conniving, either. He won't hurt someone if they're in the way of his goals, he'll just out-think them. Deep down, he wants to be seen as himself. Not a prize, not something to barter with. An individual. He's aware that he'll forfeit any chance of this if he goes through with his deal, but it's a sacrifice he's willing to make.
-Aan is also really funny, in a dry, sarcastic way. He has a knack for saying something unexpected at just the right time in a way that'll make you spit your drink out, and he loves to do it. He doesn't joke often, though, and never in front of more than a few people at a time.

-He knows quite a lot about them, thanks to his ability to melt into the shadows when an important conversation is taking place. He's focused mostly on the girl, because he's heard she's more serious. He sees her as someone he will be able to immediately be able to propose his plan to. The boy is more of an enigma to him. He knows that he's a party animal, a charmer... and not much else. He thinks they could work out a similar deal together, if his sister proves to be difficult.  He has little to no interest in the twins, and the same goes for the mother. The father makes him wary, as does the grandmother. Both seem to be hiding secrets, and while he'd love to know them, he doesn't think it would be wise to pry into their business.

WHICH HEIR ARE YOU GOING FOR?:
-Aan is going for whichever heir is willing to accept his deal, which he feels is most likely to be the daughter rather than the son because she seems more likely to appreciate the benefits of their relationship. This is his deal: he marries one, and with that marriage will come exactly zero marital responsibility. No interaction, no physical relationship, no love. He is entirely willing to marry either of the Reina heirs to get his family to shut up about his romantic life, no strings attached, and what they get in return is the ability to continue living their lives exactly the same as they were before the selection began. He's content to be a decoration as long as he isn't a pawn, and right now that's all his family sees him as.

-He thinks it's a very idiotic way for all the rich people in the Illea to gain connections and amass more wealth. He wishes he weren't there, but since he is, he thinks he might as well get some use out of it.

BRIEF BACKGROUND:
-Aan's mother works with the Illean government, and his father is the head of the New Asian military. Aan has spent quite a lot of time traveling between the two countries, and because of this he's become a very well-known face in both locales. Since his very birth, Aan has been a pawn in his parents' game. He's the product of an important political alliance, and as the oldest child, who he marries is crucial to his family's path in life. The moment his parents heard of this selection, he was rushed to sign up. Sign up he did, and now he finds himself... here. He's crafty, though, and has thought out a plan to get his parents off his back and out of his life for good.
-From a young age, Aan has loved to write. He can craft a sentence more beautiful than a sunrise and sharper than a knife, and his prose is highly valued in Yukon, its neighboring provinces, and New Asia. He doesn't often speak, but he more than makes up for that with how much he writes. Thanks to his parents' occupations, he's able to afford to be an author and remain a two.
-Aan has a younger sister that he absolutely adores. He'd give his life for her. She's only nine, and she treats him as a sort of surrogate parent because she was never important to either their mom or dad. Since Aan was the male and the firstborn, he was the subject of both their affections and their wrath. He's glad Ivory is never at the receiving end of their furies, but he also hates that she doesn't get any parental love- he fears he isn't a very good replacement. His only condition to marrying one of the Reinas is that his sister be allowed to come too.
