𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐄

WES HAM, HOME TO THE  214 MEMBERS OF THE SMALL COMMUNITY. it was a secluded place, surrounded by a large evergreen forest. a small chapel, a high school, town hall. the town so tiny it was barely on most maps. a forgettable place, where nothing out of the ordinary happened.

senior year, the final year of childhood and the start of adolescence. the students of wes ham high were at the final week of high school. to say they were excited was an understatement, some of them had plans to leave the small pennsylvania town.

but in a small town like west hammington, the chances of making it out of the subran town was slim to nothing. it was the type of town where everyone knew everyone. this didn't guarantee everyone got along but it was no place for much crime.

like any high school there was drama amongst the students but for the most part they all tried to stay out of each other's way.

four days until their senior trip to new york. where'd they would have fun in the big city for a couples days and make it home before graduation and prom.

what was supposed to be the best time of their lives turned into something that would eventually turn their lives upside down.

but tonight is the homecoming game. most of the student body wearing blue and silver across there faces. the wes ham bulldogs were up against the eastside eagles.

ashton stone stole the the final victory for his team. in that moment he felt happy with himself, a type of high he hasn't felt in a long time.

from the sidelines a blonde her waving big blue pom-poms to him, his mom close beside her. kay cook was his girlfriend of six months. the girl was a year younger than him. she was a sweetheart and she truly adored him.

he loved her but he didn't feel the same way about her when they first meet. he only stayed with her convince himself he wasn't different.

"hey ash we're going to herron's to celebrate," his teammate, oscar said.

"i'll be there in bit." he says, heading over to his cheerleader girlfriend.

"babe! you did so great!" she says, hugging him tightly.

"it wasn't much." he mumbles.

"you did amazing honey!" his mother says.

"did he come?" ashton asks as his mother's expression changes from excitement to a slight frown.

"thought so..." he mutters.

"he's probably was caught up with work—"

"it's fine mom, me and the team are gonna go to a party later."

"that's fine honey, be home before twelve." she smiles.

"goodnight mrs.stone." kay says.

"we've been over this sweetheart call me maria. goodnight to you too, keep an eye on him for me." she jokes as the couple walks away.

ELSEWHERE...

four friends sieamae ford, tyler wallace, ivy beckett, and oakley sutton sat in oakley's room.

after the game they planned to stay home and crash at oakley's since her parents were never home.

"come on we're going to that party." ivy says.

"to do what? i don't even think we were invited." argues tyler.

"mae didn't your boyfriend invite us?" ivy asks.

"firstly he's not my boyfriend and jack barley knows i exist." sieamae defends.

"okay miss. student body vice president." oakley chuckled.

"i don't know anything about being in charge, not my fault ms.loeffler selected me to run against cass." sieamae says.

"well you basically know everyone." tyler shrugs.

it was true, sieamae did have a sense about reading people. she was friendly and kind of popular even though she never hung out the popular kids.

"i mean it's probably one of the last parties of year." sieamae thought aloud.

"see! that's even more a of reason to go." ivy says.

"only reason you wanna go is because nova will be there." tyler mumbles as a pillow hits his face. "hey!"

"i'll guess we'll go because i don't need you guys tearing my damn room apart." oakley says.

"come on losers!" the brunette says.
