things to note - you are friends with Eunchae, she in the cover KPOP group Lesserafim who are also popular. They are friends with the Newjeans members.

Prom season is coming up and I don't have a date. I want to ask my crush Hanni out but I don't think she will like me back or even acknowledge me. Hanni and Danielle are one of the most popular people in our school. They are in a K-POP cover group called newjeans. They always have over 100,000 views on every video due to there visuals. I've always had this attraction to Hanni due to how nice she's is even though she's very popular. I've only spoken to her once and that was over homework.

FLASHBACK

Hanni - "Hey Y/N!" She said happily as she ran to catch up with me. I was wondering why she would ever want to speak with me but I soon found out why. "Do you have the homework from history class?" She asked me.

Y/N - "Yea, I do." I replied sadden as she only wanted to use me for answers. Then she surprised me with her next question.

Hanni - "Can you teach me how to do it? I don't want the answer from you. I want to know HOW to get to the answer, like step-by-step." She asked and I was surprised because usually people just copy and go on with there day. I stood there stunned and soon replied with.

Y/N - "Um.. Sure.." I replied nervously. After that day I had an attraction to her, because she was different from everyone else.

END OF FLASHBACK

As I was daydreaming about our interaction, my friend Eunchae came up to me.

Eunchae - "Hey Y/N!" She said happily as always.

Y/N - "Hey Chae! What's up?" I ask her wondering why she's so giddy today.

Eunchae - "Prom is coming up that's why!" She replied still happily. "And I was wondering who you are gonna ask out." She says as she playfully nugdes me.

Y/N - "I haven't asked anyone yet, but I have someone in mind." I replied shocking her.

Eunchae - "Oh. My. Gosh! Who is it?" She replied as she seems more interested in our conversation now, making eye contact with me.

Y/N - "Well, you know her.." I say as I look down. "She's really popular around her and I don't know if she even remembers me." I say sadden at the fact.

Eunchae - "Oh Y/N, who is it I can help you with her if you just tell me her name." She said worried as I seem really down and sad.

Y/N - "It's Hanni. The most popular member of Newjeans." I said quietly so only Eunchae can hear.

Eunchae - "Oh really?" She replied surprised. "I could go ask her and see if she has a date or not. And then we can start planning from there." She replied innocently and happily.

TIME SKIP

Me and Eunchae agreed that she would ask if she has a date. Hopefully, she says no so we can start planning for me to ask her out. I was waiting quietly in the canteen as Eunchae came up to me.

Eunchae - "So I have good news and bad news." She said as she sat down with her lunch.

Y/N - "What's the bad news?" I asked her as I wanted to know the bad news before the good news.

Eunchae - "Hanni has rejected every single person who has asked her so far." She said a little down. That made me a little scared because that means lots of boys have asked her out, which means my chances have been slimmed down. "But, the good news is she really wants this special someone to ask her out." She said as she nudges me again playfully.

Y/N - "Okay, so what will we plan?" I said trying to think of a great plan to impress Hanni.

Eunchae - "Well, I asked Hanni and she likes to play the piano and ukulele. Maybe you could play that and buy her a bouquet of roses." She replied giving me advice.

Y/N - "Hmm, that's a good idea I can play the ukulele well enough." I replied hoping this plan will work and help me win Hanni over.

After this conversation me and Eunchae planned on my asking Hanni out by playing the ukulele. The song I will play on the ukulele was 'Cupid' by Fifty Fifty. I know the song is overplayed but I really like it and it's a soft song. I overheard Hanni talking about how much she liked it so I decided to learn it to play for her. I also got these beautiful bouquet of roses for her, as I know she likes the color red. Tomorrow is the day I will ask Hanni out, I'm very nervous.

TIME SKIP - Tomorrow after school

Today is the day I will ask her out. I've been thinking about it all school day, even Eunchae starting to worry. I was overthinking about it as I didn't want to mess it up, nor be embarrassed by her. It soon became 3:00pm and school let out I went to stood by the water fountain waiting for her. It only took about five minutes before she came out looking confused.

Y/N - "Hey, Hanni. How have you been?" I asked nervously as I was now speaking to the girl I was about to ask out.

Hanni - "Im doing well, what's all this for?" She asked surprised that I was holding roses and a ukulele.

Y/N - "Well, these roses are for you." I said as I handed her the roses. "And, this ukulele is for a song I'm about to perform for you." I say as I began to play the 'Cupid' song. As I was playing I noticed that she began to sing the lyrics, it surprised me as I didn't know she could sing so well.

"A hopeless romantic all my life! Surrounded by couples all the time. I guess I should take it as a sign!"

Then she stopped and just began to vibe with my ukulele playing. When I finished playing for her she started clapping and was extremely excited.

Hanni - "Wow! You play so well, you should teach me sometime." She replied as she continued to clap.

Y/N - "Thank you Hanni. But that's not why I brought you here." I replied as I stepped closer to her. "I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the prom with me?" I asked nervously.

Hanni sat there staring at me for a while. I began to accept the fact that she was about to reject me but she surprised me.

Hanni - "I would love to go out with you." She replied shocking me. "Your the first guy to ever play the ukulele for me, and play one of my favorite songs. It made me excited, I would love to get to know you better also." She replied as she hands me a note with her number on it. I stood there shocked as she soon said "See you tomorrow Y/N!" She replied. She soon gave me a kiss on the cheek and then left. I stood there still shocked that she accepted, gave me her number, and kissed me. I started to touch the spot she kissed me at when Eunchae came up to me.

Eunchae - "That went so well! I can't believe she accepted to go with you. I thought I would have to do a Plan B situation." She replied making me giggle.

Y/N - "So.. who are you asking out to the dance?" I asked curiously.

Eunchae - "Um. NOBODY!" She said as she began to blush and run.

Y/N - "EUNCHAE! GET BACK HERE." As I began to run after her.
