P O V L A U R E N C E

I awoke feeling my body go numb. The burning sensation made my limbs tremble. I opened my eyes to reveal burn marks all over my body. I realized that I am still trapped in the nether. I reached down to grab my leg only getting a sharp pain in return. "I have to escape." I slowly got up and tried to see my surroundings. In the distance I noticed a broken portal. I tried to walk towards it but fell down to my knees. I groaned in pain noticing blood dripping down my legs. "I must have gotten cut before I came in here." I lifted my torn pants cut to reveal a deep gash. I flinched in pain as the fiery winds blew. "Laurance?" A voice called from behind me. I was surprised hearing someone else in here. I turned around to see a human-like figure with red eyes. "Laurance, I see you came back." The person said as I look at him in confusion. "How do I know you?" I asked. The figure just laughs and looks at me with pity. "I'm your old pal, Zenix. How do you not remember me?" Zenix. I remember that name, I think. "I think I remember you but I don't know where." I told him as he reached out his hand. "I killed the lord of my village." Zenix told me sternly with no remorse what so ever. I took his hand but had a shocked expression on my face. "I suppose you're here for the same reason?" He asked. "No I don't remember why I am here, I just know I have to leave. This place is creepy." I told him as he guided me into the palace.

"Hello Zenix, who might this be with you?" A person greeted us as they bowed. 'Is Zenix a lord here?' "Hello Gene, this is Laurance our old buddy." He said while nudging me. I smiled as I nodded. "Hey Laurance!" The Gene guy walked up towards me and wrapped me in a hug. I didn't hug back and stood there awkwardly. "He doesn't remember you, Gene." "I can tell." Gene pulled away from me with a puzzled look. "He looks beat up." He pointed to my bloody scars on my legs. "He must be hurt." "I am hurt." I replied looking down at my cut. "I don't know why I am here, I need to leave." "Leaving so soon?" Gene asked glaring at me. "Your here because you tried to protect that princess girl Aphmau, I don't know why though." Gene told me. 'Aphmau? I remember an Aphmau' My cheeks began to flush a shade of red. "Alright, alright." Zenix interrupted. "Let's get you cleaned up buddy and then we will talk more." He started dragging me towards a room. It was a bedroom. "Lay down here, I'll ask Michi if she could help with your wounds." He said as he closed the door behind me. I walked towards the bed, feeling the soft cloth. It felt soothing, and soft. I closed my eyes taking in the comfort feeling. I turned and sat down on the bed. "Aphmau is my lord." I blurted out loud randomly. "She's the love of my life." I smile.

"Hi! I am Michi-" The door opened revealing a purple haired female. "Hello, I am Laurance. I supposed you're here to help me?" I ask her. She nods and walks closer to me. "Such a pretty boy." I smile while taking in the compliment. "So, are you single perhaps?" "Um-m, yes?" I stutter while answering the sudden question. She smiles and bends down to pull off the fabric hiding my deep bloody gash. "How did you get this wound?" "I suppose it's from protecting my Lord." "Lord Aphmau?" "Yes Ma'am." "Have you ever wanted to fuck her?" I blushed at the sudden question. "Um.. Michi just help me please. I'll answer your questions later." I told her embarrassedly. I felt a sharp pain and realized she's pouring alcohol on my wound. She grabs gauze and stuffs it inside to stop the bleeding. She wraps around bandages on my leg, making sure the cut won't open again. "There we go! All done." "Thank you Michi." "Your welcome, cutie." Michi got up and walked towards my face. She suddenly kissed me on my lips. I was stunned by the sudden movement that I just sat there, frozen. I pulled away and screamed "What the hell!!" Zenix bursted through the door, "What's going on in here?" "Nothing sweetie, Laurance just got alcohol poured on his wound." She lied to him. I am still in shock so I say nothing. "Okay.. well Laurance. We fixed your supper, come downstairs when you are ready."

He walked towards the door and before leaving said, "Michi don't be doing anything inappropriate with him." "I won't Lord Zenix." He left shortly after. Michi turns around towards me with a smirk. "He's so easy to manipulate, I like that." She laughs while I look puzzled. "Michi, I don't appreciate you kissing me at all." I tell her sternly. "You basically assaulted me." "So? It's not like you have a girlfriend. You probably liked it." That infuriated me. I got up and walked directly in-front of her. "Just because I am not taken that makes it okay?" I yelled making her flinch. I walked out the room towards the dining hall where Gene and Zenix were talking.

"Woah whats up with you?" Gene asked seeing my fury. "That Michi girl keeps trying to make moves on me. I really just want to go home dude." I told him. "Well, this is sorta your new home now." Zenix explained. "The only way you can get home is if the portal is opened from the other side." I sighed hearing that. 'Aphmau probably forgot about me already.' All of a sudden we heard an ear screeching nose. I turned around to see Lord Aphmau, alone. "Laurance?!" She screamed and I ran towards her. "Aphmau!" I hugged her tightly. "I've missed you so much Laur." She pulled away and stared into my eyes. We both smiled at each other. "Your eye." She raised her hand and rubbed my right eye. When she pulled away, I seen blood on it. "I didn't even notice I was bleeding there." "It's okay, I am just happy you are okay and well." Zenix and Gene walked towards us. "Okay lovebirds, enough." Zenix told us sternly. "How did you open the portal?" Aphmau stared menacingly at him. "I don't have to answer you. You baby murder." I forgot Zenix massacred a whole village. "I suggest you answer." "I opened the portal due to magic." I can tell she is lying but I didn't say anything. I was happy she came back for me. "Okay, well Laurance I guess you can go." Zenix said smiling. The first time I've seen him smile. "Nice meeting you again Laurance!" Gene waved goodbye to me. I walked through the portal with Aphmau.

I was greeted with darkness. I couldn't see anything and my body felt numb. "Aphmau where are we?" I asked her. "We are in Phoenix Drop silly, can't you see?" I opened my eyes but again, I seen nothing. "Are you sure we are?" "Yes Laurance I'm-" She gasped in my direction. "Your eyes.." I felt a hand on my cheek. "I think you're blind, love." "I am blind, Aphmau." "You're still beautiful though." I felt lips press against mine. Soft and warm, I kissed back. I tried to grab her waist but instead I grabbed her shoulders. She pulled away giggling. "My waist is here bud." She guides my hands down to her waist as she kisses me again. I felt my whole body vibrate from the sensation. I pulled away smiling, I think. "Even though I can't see you, I can tell you're still as beautiful as ever." Aphmau laughs. "Oh, shut up casanova. Let's go greet the rest of the villagers."
