𝐌𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 - LaurancexGarroth

Garroth was sitting down at his desk, the autumn breeze flowing through the air. Children play outside in the autumn leaves, enjoying the weather. But not him, he is writing a letter to his dearest of friends, Laurance. Or should I say, his crush Laurance.

Garroth has adored Laurance for quite a bit. It started when they were in high-school. Laurance was the top of every class and he was the captain of the soccer team. Laurance had it all! From good looks to a great personality, everyone loved Laurance. But what about Garroth?

Garroth was your typical shy closeted nerd. Top of his classes but people rarely knew him. He also stutter a lot so, that blew his chances of ever being popular. But, he is an extremely talented writer. Hence, why he is currently writing a thousand-word letter to his lover.

"Is there no more ink?" Garroth look down and noticed his glass jar empty. He picked it up and stuck his brush into it, trying to get all the leftover ink stuck in the creases. "Is it really gone?" He asked again in disbelief. He stands up from his chair and walks over to his cupboard. "I must have restocked on ink." Garroth tried to reassure himself on this matter, but he was too invested to notice Laurance enter the room.

"Garroth, what are you doing?" A husky voice asked. Surprised, Garroth turned around to a messy haired brunette staring at him confused. "I-I am simply searching for ink." He blurted out, stuttering in the process. "What do you need ink for?" Laurance asked. The blond stared at him. Laurance still displayed a confused expression but soon brushed it off.

"Okay, well you're searching the wrong cabinet." He ushered Garroth to the other side of the room. "It's on the very top shelf to the left." Laurance informed Garroth. Garroth reached up and grabbed a full jar of black ink. "Thank you, Laurance" Garroth turned around and smiled at him. Laurance returned the smile. "You're welcome bud, help is always here for you." Laurance turned to walk away but noticed a letter sitting on Garroth's desk.

"Who's that for?" Laurance asked gesturing towards the letter. "Oh uhm.. Nobody." Garroth quickly walked over to the desk and grabbed the letter, almost bawling it up in his hand. Laurance noticed how Garroth seemed afraid and nervous. "You don't have to do all that pal, if you don't want me knowing just tell me." He assured Garroth. Garroth taking a deep breath, decided to tell Laurance about his letter.

"Laurance, this letter is about you." Garroth told him, making him surprised. "If it's about me.. why are you hiding it?" Laurance asked puzzled. "Because it's not one of my ordinary letters, this letter is different." Garroth confessed. He handed Laurance the letter, turning around as to not face him as he began to read.

My Dearest Laurance,

I've tried many times to put my feelings into words, but each time I find myself falling short. There's so much I want to say, and yet no words feel enough. From the moment we met, I knew something was different. You've always been the steady one, the calm in the storm. I've admired your strength, your intelligence, and the way you always seem to know exactly what to do, even when I'm lost in my own thoughts.

Every time I see you, I feel my heart race, as if it's reminding me of just how important you are to me. I know I may not always show it, and perhaps my actions are not always as clear as my intentions, but please know that you've become someone irreplaceable in my life.

I wonder... if you could ever feel the same. If I could ever be the one who makes you feel as special as you make me feel every single day.
But perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. I should stop before I-

Laurance eyes were wide after reading it. He slowly set the paper on the ground and walked towards Garroth. "Garroth, I didn't know you felt this way about me." Laurance told him, making Garroth spin around. Tears dripping down his redden face, he sadly looked down at Laurance. "I knew you didn't feel the same way Laur, thats why I've never told you-" "Who said I didn't feel the same way?" Laurance budded in, catching Garroth off guard. The pair stared at each other for a moment, until Laurance reached his hands up and cupped Garroth's cheeks. He leaned in and delivered a soft kiss on his lips. He pulls back and smiles.

"I liked you for some time Garroth, I waited for the right time to tell you." Garroth's face is as red as a tomato but nods assuring Laurance that he is heard. "I love you Garroth." Laurance told him while caressing his cheek. "I-I love you too!" Garroth blurted out causing the pair to laugh. Garroth smiles knowing he finally got the boy he yearned for.
