Senior Camping Trip (2)

Mia feels something crawl up her leg, she screams. She stumbles back and sees Winston laughing, she exhales sharply and throws her sleeping bag at him. "Dick!" She laughs as she sees him holding the stick in his hand. "I should..." Mia grabs the stick and points it at him. "...Beat your ass with this!" She smiles.

Mia snaps the stick in half. She sees Brett walk past them, "Cute." He pouts his lip at them. Mia sends him a tight-lipped smile and flips him off.

Mia looks at Winston. "I'm sorry about that," Mia says. "He's just...a blockhead." She snorts.

"Mia..." Winston licks his lips. "You do know I'm gay, right?" He questions.

Mia's mouth goes agape, "I-I-I didn't know that...actually, but...I wasn't trying to make a move on you or anything." Mia laughs.

Winston nods his head, "Right, right--"

"I wasn't!" She giggles.

"I'm kidding, I know you weren't...because you and Clay are together," Winston says, he remembers seeing Mia on Clay's social media and Clay on MIa's.

Mia's face heats up. "No, Clay and I aren't together anymore." She says with a nervous chuckle.

"He's with Ani...at least...I think he is...?" Mia touches her earlobe. "I don't really know any more after the dance..." Mia shakes her head. "It was pretty intense."

"That's right, the dance...Clay with that blood and knife...it's scary. It makes you wonder...if he could do anything with that." Winston sighs.

Mia pulls her brows together, "I mean, it's Clay. He wouldn't hurt anyone." Mia smiles.

Winston opens his mouth but is cut off by someone. "Mia!" Clay calls out to her.

Mia turns her head, she raises her brows. "Huh, what do you know?" She questions. "Hey, what's up?" She questions.

Clay stands beside her, his eyes burning into Winston. "Can I...talk to you, alone?" He questions.

Mia turns to Winston, "I'll see you later." She waves at Winston. Clay gently grabs her hand and pulls her along. "Uh...Clay?" She questions. "Are you okay?"

"You have to be careful with Winston," Clay says.

Mia blinks, "Why? What did he do?" She asks.

"Nothing...at least not yet. He...he knows something's up with Monty being framed." Clay explains.

Mia's jaw tightens, she turns to look at Winston. "How...how do you know?" She asks.

"Ani told me, she said that we shouldn't tell anyone so--"

"You both knew about this and decided not to tell anyone?" She questions with a scoff.

Clay exhales, "I know you're probably pissed at me, but. We thought it was handled and--"

"It's not handled. Obviously." Mia folds her arms across her chest.

"I told Alex and you, but...no one else knows. Just...be patient with me, please?" Clay questions.

Mia pinches the bridge of her nose, she sighs and nods her head. "Yeah--I can...I can do that..."

==========

"Who do you trust most in your life and why?" Mrs. Jensen questions.

Silence fills the camp, Mia clears her throat and rubs her hands against her jeans. "I'll go..." Diego raises his hand up. He catches the shell, "I, um...I always trust my boys to have my back." Diego starts. "And...I trusted Monty, always. He was the one that got me to play. Freshman year, I, um, remember telling him, 'Dominicans don't play football'. But uh--he wouldn't take that." Diego chuckles. "He taught me pride. He taught me what it was to trust someone, and...and I miss him."

Simultaneously in a creepy manner, Diego and Brett look over at Clay. Mia straightens her back, Brett looks over at her and she flips him off once again.

The next morning, there were uneven teams so Justin, Clay, and Mia were grouped up. "So, we're lost..." Mia sighs.

Justin shakes his head and chuckles. "We're not...no we're--"

Mia takes the GPS out of his hand and he sighs. "Shit..." She whispers. She feels something touch her leg she looks down and yelps. "Spider!" She drops the GPS and swats at her legs, she runs forward.

Clay chuckles softly. Justin picks the GPS back up and stares at it.  "Are you sure you know how to use that? Because I do." Clay states.

"Look I just think it's best if we do this totally together," Justin says. Clay swats at a fly near his ear and scoffs. "Are you seriously worried about me?" He questions.

Mia jogs back over to them. "I fucking hate camping..." She exhales.

"You don't really think I wrote that email?" Clay questions. Justin doesn't answer and Clay looks at Mia.

Mia averts eye contact, she slowly turns to him. "A-Are you asking me as well?" She asks.

"Do you--"

"No! I don't." Mia shakes her head.

"I think someone sent the email, and they want a confession," Justin says.

"And you think it might be me," Clay says.

"He didn't say that," Mia adds.

"But I think someone wants shit to go down on this trip." Justin states. "And, look, maybe you're not in the best place to handle that."

"He means that in the most caring way possible." Mia comments.

Clay nods his head, "Right...but you are." He points at Justin. "Of course." He scoffs. Mia presses her thumb between her brows. "I know how to use this, you don't." Clay takes the GPS from Justin's hands and gives him the paper. Clay starts to walk away but turns. "And what about you, Justin?" Clay questions. "Who has better access to my computer? Who knows my password?" Clay questions.

Mia rolls her eyes, "Clay, that's crazy--"

"Or you. You know my passwords as well. You saying John was back, was that just Bullshit to get close, huh?" Clay questions.

Mia's jaw tightens. "You see, I'm not going to beat the shit out of you because you're acting paranoid, you're stressed. Lashing out is normal." Mia walks closer to Clay, she places both her hands on his shoulders and squeezes them a little too hard. "But next time...I won't be so generous." She lets him go.

Clay shakes his head and continues to walk forward. She scoffs, she walks beside Justin. "What the hell?" Mia questions. "He's a bag of dicks lately." Mia mumbles.

"I mean...he has his reasons," Justin says.

"I mean...he does, but he's not getting off that easily." Mia folds her arms. Clay continues to rant to the both of them. Mia feels a hand go over her mouth and her heart jumps into her throat. Justin is pinned to the ground. The brunette thrashes around but she is thrown down the hill with Justin.

Clay turns around and doesn't see either of them there. "Justin! Mia!" He calls out. "Justin?" Clay calls out again. "Guys, come the fuck on." Clay walks back over to where Mia and Justin were. Clay looks down and sees the map on the ground. His eyes widen, "Mia?! Justin?!" He walks down the trail, his heartbeat increasing speed.

"Guys! Justin? Mia?"

Clay continues to search around. Where could they be? Was the football team fucking with him? Was this even real? Clay climbs up some boulders, "Mia! Justin!" He calls out again, looking around the woods. His eyes stop on a coyote that was staring at him. It slowly looks away and descends back into the woods.

Twigs snap behind Clay, he turns around. "Mia?"

Clay's vision goes out as something is forced over his eyes. He feels hands yank him off the boulder and drag him through the dirt. "Wh-what the fuck? Hey, let me go! Let me go! Help! Help!"

Clay's hands are bound together. He hits his head as he is forced into a hole.

==========

The brunette snaps her head around as she hears someone in the distant scream. "When I find Brett, I'm gonna take your knife, cut his balls off, and shove them down his fucking throat," Mia growls as they walk through the forest. Justin scoffs.

"My knife is not going near anyone's balls," Justin whispers.

"We'll see..." Mia whispers. She stops as she spots someone through the trees. "Fucking Beecher..." She growls.

Justin squints his eyes. "No, Mia that's not Beecher," Justin whispers

"Then it's Brett." She sneers. Mia grabs Justin's knife and bolts towards the boy. "Mia, that's not Brett eith--"

"MOTHERFUCKER!" Mia screams, she jumps on the boy they both collide on the ground. She screams in the boy's face and he screams in hers. "Mia, what the actual fuck?" Charlie questions.

"Shit! Shit!" Mia stands up, she holds her hand out and Charlie accepts it. "I thought you were a football player." She says. Charlie stands up with his eyes protruding out of his head.

"I am a football player." Charlie motions to his jacket.

"Yeah..." Mia looks away from him. "I meant a douchey football player."

"And so is Justin. What the fuck is up?" Charlie questions.

"I was trying to tell you, it was Beecher," Justin says.

Mia rolls her eyes, "Have you seen Beecher, Brett, and those guys?" She questions.

"I was supposed to be with Zach, but he ditched me," Charlie says. "Why? What did Beecher do?"

"It's nothing," Justin says.

"Tell me.' Charlie says.

"He and a couple other guys held me down, and...Clay ran off." Justin answers.

"That's why you both are all dirty." Charlie says.

Mia arches a brow, "Duh, what other reason could there have been?" Mia questions.

Charlie tenses up, "Uh...I don't want to...say..." Charlie chuckles.

Mia and Justin look at each other confused. But simultaneously they both get it. "Gross!" Justin and Mia groan.

"What the hell?!" Mia lightly shoves Charlie.

"I'm sorry, you both hang out together a lot and--"

"She's like a little sister to me," Justin says, shuddering.

"Oh, sorry," Charlie says, embarrassed.

"Anyway...the only reason I knew it was Beecher 'cause I could smell his nasty-ass body spray," Justin growls.

"And I knew that Brett was there was because of his...nice-ass body spray," Mia says. "Now we have to look for Clay or them."

"They're fucking with Clay again?" Charlie questions.

Another scream is heard in the distance. Mia looks around. "Or with us..."
