ㅡ chapter nine .

' misunderstanding '

taehyung have tried approaching jimin in many ways but nothing helped. nothing happened. nothing progressed.

he obviously knows the reason why jimin is ignoring them. he was horrified from what happened to him, especially his little brother that he promised to protect. but it's just too much, as jimin's closest friend.

and so he can't help but pick plan D.

just by looking at a specific person far from his sight is making him nervous. just from the thought of asking for his help is making him feel like this. he's afraid that his known image will get ruined but it's for the sake of jimin. and with hesitant feet, he made his way towards the male.

the other noticed taehyung's present and looked at him with a curious look. taehyung's mind and body couldn't function well but hey, he's trying his best. "uhm... i uh... j-jeongguk.." he licked his slightly chapped lips, feeling his heart beating faster.

"what is it?" he asked, tilting his head to the side slightly. taehyung doesn't know why this is part of his plans but he has this feeling that it'd help a lot. 

moreover, he has seen a few students ask jeongguk for help related to his problem right now and he had never failed anyone. 

taehyung hesitantly shook his head and frowned. maybe having an image as the bad student is really hard for the male. he can try next time anyways. "n-nevermind. it's nothing." with that, he left. leaving jeongguk on his spot confused and slightly worried.

he has never seen this side of taehyung. it actually feels nice to see that side of him. the bad student asking for his help but he can't because- reasons, it makes him feel special.

jeongguk does feel good that his enemy is slowly being nice to him. he really hopes that they'll be friends sooner. 

having the thought of seeing every side of taehyung makes him more interested in being friends with him. well, the only problem is that he isn't really nice but he's gonna find a way to make taehyung open up to him.

lunch time came by making jeongguk delight with the fact that he's finally gonna eat after starving for an hour or so.

after buying banana milk, a sandwich, and a slice of chocolate cake, he carefully made his way towards their table. jeongguk saw namjoon and yoongi waiting for him while eating and fastened his pace.

"hey guys." jeongguk greeted receiving a 'hey' from the two. he sat beside and yoongi and when he was about to dig in, a tap on his shoulder halted his action and looked up to see who it is.

"oh hey, taehyung." jeongguk flashed a smile. yoongi and namjoon shoots their head at him out of alertness and was confused when they only saw taehyung. the other three aren't with him.

weird.

"h-hey uh..." taehyung mentally cursed at himself, probably fighting with his demon while his angel reassures him and that he should let it out. jeongguk patiently waited for taehyung to speak up but the other two aren't.

"you're acting weird, weirdo." namjoon said. taehyung glared at him and frowned and immediately brought his eyes back on jeongguk who's curious gaze is still on him.

"you know what i don't have any guts to say it. nevermind, enjoy your lunch i guess." taehyung rambled and walked away, making his way through the crowded cafeteria with guilt engulfing him.

jeongguk sighed and stood up catching the duo's attention. "are you gonna follow him and make him talk?" yoongi asked curiously. jeongguk chuckled and nodded before dashing off.

a sigh left namjoon's mouth and took a bite of jeongguk's chocolate cake. "taehyung seems like he's dealing with a problem." he said.

yoongi nodded in agreement. sure taehyung is their 'enemy' but to be honest they are slightly worried for him. most especially because the three aren't with him.

"oi! kim taehyung!" the aforementioned male bursted into the bathroom where he saw taehyung came in only to see a heartbreaking sight.

the tough male who he knows is crying his heart out. leaning his back against the counter with his hand covering his glassy eyes while his other arm is supporting it.

whatever taehyung is going through right now, jeongguk would gladly help him. "hey... what's wrong?" jeongguk asked in a soft tone.

taehyung slowly removed his hand away from his face and tried his best to stop crying but just from the fact that his closest friend is ignoring him hurts him a lot.

"i-i'm sorry... i'm so sorry... i don't know what to do!" taehyung exclaimed. jeongguk sighed sadly and hesitantly engulfed the crying male catching him off-guard.

"it's okay, taehyung. let it all out. you're going through a tough battle and i would gladly help you get through it. i'm here." jeongguk said reassuringly. taehyung bursted into tears again and engulfed back, placing his forehead on jeongguk's shoulder as he continues to cry.

jeongguk has never seen taehyung this weak and it pains him to see him cry and apologize for something that isn't his fault.

taehyung doesn't care about his image anymore. he's been suffering a lot with his friends and not gonna lie, he wants someone who'd be with him, cry with him, love him for who he is, and laugh with him.

but he's thankful that jeongguk is at least with him in this battle.

jeongguk just continued on rubbing his back soothingly in circles whilst reassuring taehyung that he's not alone.

after a while, taehyung calmed down and brought jeongguk closer to him, bringing the space between them non-existent.

the younger's scent is helping him calm down and relax. he just kept his gaze on the floor while he continues to sniffle. "have no more tears to let out?" jeongguk asked, his warm breath fanning over taehyung's ear bringing shivers down his spine.

taehyung shook his head and burried his nose against jeongguk's shoulder. "please stay, i'll stay too." he mumbled with a shaky voice. jeongguk giggled lightly and squeezed him gently. he kinda likes how taehyung is slowly opening up to him.

"yeah, i know you always stay. we were suppose to be arguing right now, don't you think?" jeongguk teased. taehyung giggled and hummed in response. he can tell that jeongguk is trying to cheer him up. "i don't want that anymore."

"i honestly just want to be friends with you guys but i guess i gave a bad impression. i guess that i'm not worthy to have you guys as my friends..." jeongguk cooed. taehyung wanting them to be his friends? he never thought of that.

i guess all of them had a misunderstanding.

"i honestly want to be friends with you guys also. especially you... c-can we be friends, taehyung?" jeongguk asked, pulling away from the warm hug which lowkey made taehyung sulk in the inside.

a big grin took over taehyung's face. once again, he's slowly feeling love. slowly feeling that, someone does actually care for you. "of course." he answered.

jeongguk squealed and launched himself at taehyung causing the male to hold him by his waist. the two of them looked at each other for a while before bursting into laughters.

"okay you're kinda heavy." taehyung puts him back down on the ground with a sly smile. he giggled when he saw jeongguk glaring and pouting at him, probably annoyed from what he said.

"excuse me i'm just thicc." jeongguk said sassily, flipping his imaginary long hair. taehyung chuckled and ruffled his fluffy hair. maybe that is the reason why he's heavy. who knows.

"anyways, why were you crying if you don't mind me asking?" jeongguk asked. he has been wanting to ask this question ever since he saw taehyung crying but he didn't since, obviously, he needs to be comforted first.

taehyung looked away and became hesitant if whether he should answer it or not. he trusts jeongguk by now but he doesn't want jeongguk to add up his problem in his.

he doesn't want to be a burden.

he suddenly got embraced again by jeongguk and didn't hesitate to embrace back.

"you can tell me next time if you want to?"

"n-no! i mean... no... i was just hesitant." taehyung's face flushed a deep shade of red when he realized he raised his voice by accident. jeongguk giggled and squished his cheeks receiving whines from the other.

"jeongguk." taehyung whined out, feeling his cheeks get warmer due to how tight jeongguk's holding it between his fingers. the younger freed his pinkish cheeks and carassed it lightly.

"sorry you're just too cute!" jeongguk chirped. taehyung scoffed, he doesn't know why but he can feel being fueled up out of nowhere.

suddenly, he pinned jeongguk against the wall. his hands are beside the younger's head while his intense gaze is on jeongguk.

"w-what...?" jeongguk asked. taehyung lets out a breathy chuckle while shivers made down the younger's spine, pressing his arms against his chest.

taehyung leaned closer to his ear and left a sloppy kiss on the shell causing jeongguk to shut his eyes closed and bite onto his bottom lip. "thanks for the compliment." he said in a husky tone.

jeongguk got flustered. even though he likes this side of taehyung, they are being way too fast. "s-shut up. get off of me!" he exclaimed and clumsily pushed taehyung away.

taehyung giggled like an innocent child. "oh jeongguk. you're in for a ride." he flashed a smile while jeongguk blinked two times out of confusion.

"i like rides?" jeongguk said unsurely. taehyung bursted into laughters and pecked his forehead before sending a wink. "i like rides too."

he was about to speak up and ask jeongguk if he wants to go and eat lunch but then the younger did it first. "w-wait." jeongguk said.

taehyung furrowed his brow and hums in response, telling jeongguk to go on. a second thought instantly took over his mind and shook his head with a reassuring smile. "nevermind. i-it's nothing."

taehyung smiled back and placed his arm over jeongguk's shoulders, leading him outside the restroom. "let's go eat lunch i'm starving."

jeongguk giggled and nodded. he brought his gaze back on the floor whilst his smile dropped.

maybe taehyung isn't comfortable yet to tell him what he's crying about.

then what would be the reason why taehyung keeps on approaching me earlier?

to be honest they aren't suppose to be friends yet but then i decided that they will be friends in this chapter. :D

of course, only taehyung and jeongguk are friends and not the others yet. unless,,

anyways this chapter was suppose to be longer but i guess i have to cut it in half and write the other half in the next one.
