when alexis likes something, she goes all in. she's so passionate about certain matters, she dedicates an immense amount of time to it. the same could be said about her relationship and how she loves. when truly interested, when feeling that special connection — she doesn't hold back at all, instead she dives in head first. the female loves passionately, she acts passionately and displays such strong emotions on a regular basis. alexis isn't scared of expressing how she feels about someone or something. she feels no shame admitting what she likes and what she dislikes. at times such strong and passionate emotions come back to bite her in the ass. more often than not, the outcome of said actions and emotions are negative. though alexis doesn't know how to stop it — how does one stop giving their all to everything they do?

the only issue with alexis is that she doesn't like letting people into her life. after experiencing what she had experienced in high school, she doesn't trust people very easily. she finds it easier to be closed off and make the other person work for her trust. that way she can assure that they won't stab her in the back in the future and blackmail her with her secrets and everyone else she's close to. she's not huge on relationships, but if the right person were to come along, alexis would have no issue with slowly letting them in. there are only a handful of people she keeps in touch with and is close to, like her best friend for example. the thought of being judged for the path of life she went down is something that prevents her from opening up. she doesn't like to be read like an open book — if someone truly wanted to get to know her, then they would put the effort in to do so. countless times, people are betrayed by those they supposedly trust and alexis aims to put an end to that cycle.

alexis never shies away from expressing her thoughts, feelings and emotions. she takes the human right, 'freedom of speech', quite literally and doesn't hesitate to state what's on her mind. on top of that, alexis is a huge thrill junkie. she finds joy in doing things on the opposite side of the law. finds thrill in doing reckless things, things she isn't meant to do. she's the kind of girl to jump off a cliff into a pool of clear water — only after assessing the surroundings around her — she's impulsive, wild and reckless, still living out her glory days from high school and college. alexis thrives off of thrill and adrenaline. the sensation itself is better than drugs. going too long without experiencing thrill causes her to experience withdrawal like symptoms. it's why, even after paying off her supposed debts, she can't stop. it's fun, it's thrilling and it's dangerous — what's better than that combination?

born into a caring family, alexis had the perfect childhood. with two older brothers and a younger sister, life was always hectic. the home was always noisy and they couldn't go longer than an hour without being pranked by the mischievous brothers. it was a blast growing up in the clarke household. of course, just because it was loud and busy didn't mean it was a happy household. her parents marriage suffered a huge strain after alexis' birth, the parents having gone through several miscarriages before her younger sister was born. despite all that, they stayed together for the kids and aimed to be good role models, or as good as they could be. both her parents worked office jobs, nine to five, and hoped to inspire their children to be better and to do better.

alexis was a goody-two shoes, that was until she met this guy in high school. it was the cliche, good girl falls for bad boy, and vice versa, cliche. but it was good, it was better than good actually. being involved with, and dating her then boyfriend only elevated her whole high school experience. she climbed up the social ladder and was introduced to new things — risky things, things that caused thrills. drinks, drugs, parties, sex, you name it. she loved it, she revelled in the attention and the thrill she got from it. not everyone was lucky though. alexis firmly believed that her high school boyfriend was her soulmate. her person. her lover. she would do anything important and necessary for him. anything he wanted her to do. one day her high school boyfriend took her up on that offer — he was dealing some stuff and asked alexis to keep ahold of a small package and keep it hidden until he asked for it. one package turned into two, which turned into three and four and five. all she wanted to do was help her boyfriend — she was naïve and daft.

the man her boyfriend worked for caught wind of what was happening. how her boyfriend, noah, was handing said packages to alexis to keep safe. furious, the two of them were called in. the next events were foggy in her mind, probably due to the fear she felt. alexis had no clue that by hiding said packages, she was indirectly implicating herself into the criminal lifestyle. it was too late to change what happened and the boss called on alexis to carry out a mission or else her family and noah would pay the price for her actions. fearful, she said yes. the things noah's boss had her doing was illegal, but with a pretty face, she could get away with anything. it started with small things and then moved onto more serious crimes — scamming and conning. apparently she had some sort of debt to repay, and so from the age of seventeen years, her criminal journey began.

the cons started off on a low scale, innocent and nothing too big. progressing slowly as she got older. in college, she targeted richer men, who knew they could be such fools? from wealthy middle class men to millionaires, multi-millionaires and billionaires. she had done it all. alexis had repaid all her supposed debt, but she couldn't stop — she found it impossible to stop. the thrill she felt, the rush of adrenaline made it impossible to stop. it was like this drúg she was fixated on. taking more and more, until she was content for a lengthy period of time. the shame of her job ate away at her — breaking contact with her family as a result. she didn't want them to see her like this. to know that she conned people for a living, that she moved from state to state in an attempt to not get caught. her architecture degree going down the drain.
