chapter 27

real life

when Max opens her eyes, the sun shines too much into the room, and she can't keep them open. she turns to the other side, and when she opens her eyes for the second times, she sees Kit, still sleeping. with his tousled hair he looks like an angel, and she scared to wake him up. but he opens his eyes few seconds later and when he sees her, he smiles. 

- hi. 

- hi. you slept well ? 

- hmm, he grunts as he gets on his back, yeah. and you ? 

- yeah, whispers the girl. 

he smiles and catches her chin to kiss her lips. then, he puts her on him and continues to kiss her, his hands on her waist. 

- you know that the others are sleeping in the next room and that they can enter at any time ? asks the girl against his lips. 

- don't care. 

they kiss again and Kit tips her over to be on top of Max. 

- we're gonna get caught. 

- and ? 

- get out of there, you're not so light, rugby land. 

- oh, you wanna play ? no prob, gay nerd. 

he lies down beside her and takes her in his arms. 

- you look so cudly like that, whispers the boy. 

- do i ? 

he smiles, watching her. Max says : 

- i was about to say 'i love you' but you're not in the shower so...

she blushes and bows her head but Kit catches her chin to look her in the eyes. 

- say it. 

- no, laughs Max. i won't. 

- pleaaase, say it, say it. it's cute. 

- stop mixing scenes ! 

- hey, hey, hey, you know you're so pretty and i like you so much, but don't change the subject. 

she looks at him and asks : 

- you find me pretty ? 

- stop asking stupid questions, smiles Kit. 

- okay right now i love you so much, shouts the girl, jumping into his arms to kiss him. 

- oh my god, you're so heavy ! 

- hey ! says the girl hitting Kit's shoulder. you didn't even say it back. 

- maybe because i don't want to. 

- yeah, i'll believe you, answers Max, laughing. 

they look each other, smiling, and Kit whispers : 

- okay, i love you too. 

- really ?! shouts the girl.  

- god, my ears ! it's too early to hear your screams. 

but Max doesn't listen to him and kiss his face, so much that he can't breathe anymore. 

- Max ! stop it ! 

- no, you know i love bothering you. 

Kit laughs and, hurriedly, the door opens and Kizzy apears. 

- hum, we know that you still have things to do, but the breakfast is ready. 

when she leaves, they laugh and get up. Kit puts on a t-shirt and Max takes a sweater from his suitcase which she puts over her tank top, and they go the the livingroom. inside the room, it's a mess. there're air mattresses and blankets everywhere. 

- you could at least tidy up, says Max. 

- oh, hello ! answers Will. yeah, we all slept okay, thank you for asking. 

she smiles and roll her eyes and go to the kitchen to take a coffee and come back in the salon. she sits next to Rhea, who asks with a smile : 

- you slept okay ? 

- shut up, smiles Max. 

- why didn't you say me that ? 

- don't know. 

they laugh and Bash, who has just woken up, comes next to her with a big cup of tea. 

- d'you are british all the time ? asks Max. 

- that's funny. 

- i know. does your head's still hurting ? 

- less than yesterday, but still a bit. 

- i'm still sorry. did it keep you awake at night ? 

- yeah, a bit. and you ? good sleep ? 

- yeah ! shouts Corinna from a sit, where she's talking with Kit and Yasmin. we want to know what happened this night ! 

- i thought you wanted to know what happened yesterday first. 

- Kit already told us, asks Yasmin. 

- really ? traitor. 

they laugh and Joe continues : 

- no really, what happened ? 

- nothing ! answers Kit. 

- don't believe you, says Will, eating. 

- what !? 

- you bet you had sex. 

- i hate so much Will, says Max. 

- and me i love you so much but it's not the question. 

they continue talking and, one by one, everyone will shower and get dressed, and Max keeps Kit's sweat. when everyone's ready, Bash starts : 

- we thought...

- we thought you'd like to come with us in london to see you flat, ends Corinna. 

- hum, yeah, i'd like to, but i don't have a plane ticket. 

- oh, we have one for you, answers Kizzy. 

- really ? you guys are the best. 2 sec, i go to will pack my suitcase. 

half an hour later, Max closes his flat and, with their suitcases, they walk to the airport. Max really wants to take Kit's hand, but she doesn't do, because they don't want to be pictured. not yet. but, when they waiting, sit, Kit whispers to Max : 

- you know, i really want to kiss you, right now. 

- the line was 'i want to kiss you so bad right now'. 

Kit laughs and discreetly touches Max's hand. 

- you've managed to hold back for months, will you manage to do it for a few hours ? asks the girl.

- not sure. you're really pretty dressed like that.

- okay you better shut your mouth or i'll kiss you.
