"are you feeling better?" erena asked, concerned about the upcoming match that was the cause of kageyama's worry yesterday. she handed him his favorite milk flavour, no matter how much she despised it.

"yeah," kageyama nodded. erena believed that. the bags underneath his eyes were nearly completely gone and his body seemed full of energy. he looked down towards his feet. "i'm kinda w-worried about kindaichi and kunimi."

erena thought it was rather adorable the way kageyama had difficulty admitting that he was nervous. "well, i wouldn't be worried about kindaichi and kunimi. they're only first years like you, and you have loads more talent than both of them."

erena flashed her biggest smile, hoping that that might cheer up the setter even a bit. "and if you're worried about tooru, don't be! he sprained his ankle yesterday afternoon, so he probably won't even be playing-"

"but i want to play against him."

eh? erena blinked in confusing. 

kageyama smirked in a slightly unsettling way. "i want to go against seijou with him leading them, and i want to crush them and take the title of best setter."

erena found herself lost in his eyes.

a storm brewing, gathering thunder and lightning for a quest to conquer. a fearless quest to take on the world, determination brimming from every corner as the storm charged on regally. 

it was like a king's gaze.

erena thought it was rather beautiful.

little did she know that kageyama was every bit in love with her smile as she was with his eyes.
