don't let demigods drive

"How is this whole car situation going to work" Asteria asked as they walked through the rows of parked cars "This quest is so exciting so far" Grover mentioned in a good mood as the teens gave him a look

"You need help" Asteria told him as he didn't remember much "We'll explain it to you on the way, we're in a bit of a hurry" Percy explained

"Late?" Grover was confused but who could blame him "Very, very late" Percy added, Grover quickly started assuming things "Are we late because of me?" He asked worried, It was clear Percy didn't know what to say. No one has ever experienced Grover act that way.

Asteria walked away from the teen boys letting them talk. she approached a taxi that had a note attached to it "Guys!" Annabeth called out as Asteria examined the note "To the dumb kids, plus Asteria" She read out loud

Annabeth snatched the note away seeing what it had inside, Annabeth started reading what was highlighted on the note "We'll become travelers once we're on the road, and the car will take is wherever we wish to go" Annabeth explained

"Well this is ending terribly" Asteria muttered "One of us just has to drive it out of the garage" Percy looked around to see the teens reactions "Not it" Asteria quickly said "If Grover was in the right mind it would be best for him to drive, but that's not happening right now"

"Im still not 100% sure what we're doing here" Grover announced "He literally proved my point" Asteria ran a hand through her hair "Im mean" Percy began "I killed the Minotaur on my first try, right? How hard could this be?" He tossed the keys

"Im just saying if theres a single scratch on me or the car im blaming you" She walked towards the passenger door "Have a little faith in me yeah?" He asked, Asteria just smiled

Asteria buckled the seay belt making sure it was secure, Percy just stared at her "What? I don't wanna die" She sighed "Fine i wouldn't want you dying either" He rolled his eyes

Annabeth sat in the back with Grover "Maybe try to get Grover to remember you guys, or explain to him the quest" Asteria suggested and Annabeth nodded, That surprised Asteria since Annabeth never went along with anything she said

"How does this work?" Percy whispered to himself trying to get the car to turn on "You twist the key in there" Asteria pointed as he followed her instructions "Left is the brake and the right is the gas" She began to explain to him, but he quickly stepped on the brake causing the car to move slightly

"I literally told you which petal is which!" She was obviously nervous to be in a car with kids who had no idea what they're doing "In my defense it was an accident"

"Put the car in drive" She told him, he reached his hand out about to move the gear stick "Percy! Your gonna put in in reverse" She shouted before moving it to drive "Now step on the gas" She explained

"Thanks for the lesson, even though i don't think it did much" He told her looking down at his legs before pushing the gas and making the car go forward crashing into the wall sending the kids forward "Percy! Nope! Im gonna die in here" She complained

"My fault. That was me. How do you make it go backwards?" He asked clearly forgetting everything Asteria taught him, he put the car in reverse before crashing into the wall behind them

"By the time we get out of here it's gonna look like the car has been through a tornado!"

"You're doing great" Grover sarcastically said from the back "Maybe try aiming for the middle" Annabeth suggested, the car tired could be hear screeching . Asteria hit her head with the seat as the other two teens grunted at the impact "Look, you're welcome to give this a try" Percy suggested

"How about you just continue driving" Asteria fake smiled towards him, as he connected driving forward swerving slightly. "I think a car's coming" Asteria muttered as a car beeped at them

"That guy didn't even slow down!" Percy complained "Or maybe you just didn't check if a car was coming!" Percy honked the horn "I don't think the car can hear you anymore.." Asteria trailed off

"Okay just keep going. Up to the street" Annabeth encouraged, Percy made a swerve the tire's screeching with every move. Asteria held onto the seatbelt for dead life. Percy was shocked seeing how the road was "Just drive slowly" She advised

"You've got this" Percy drove straight slightly turning the steering wheel to the side. The ride was going well until it wasn't. "Percy did you just crash the mirror into the wall" Asteria asked in disbelief hearing the car scraping against the wall

Percy swerved the car before crashing into some cones "Never celebrate to early" Asteria threw her head back in annoyance

Percy held onto the steering wheel with shaky hands causing the car to move side to side. Percy was driving out of the parking garage. When they all heard a bright light and a horn honking approaching

Asteria closed her eyes, by the time she opened them they were in a completely different area. Asteria's breath was heavy after the recent event "Did we teleport?" She whispered

"Where are we?" Percy asked, the windshield was full of rain, it was clear they weren't in the same place anymore "Turn off the lights" Annabeth suggested and Percy followed "Im surprised you even know how to do that" She laughed

They unbuckled their seat belts before opening the car door and stepping out, the group stared at the sight of a beach "Funny how i forgot a-lot more things than you guys, but i remember now" Grover brought up

"I think it's time i go meet my dad."

"I'll wait for you" Asteria told him "Yeah we'll be here when you get back" Grover reassured "What do i say to him?" He was worried

Asteria stared at him and it seemed to call him down, he gave her a small huge before approaching the waves then he disappeared into the ocean.
