Callie, Adelaide, Captain Holt, Terry and Gina were all currently at the gun range. Callie was reluctant but she decided to go.

"Okay so how do you do this again?" Adelaide asked obliviously as she held the gun.

"Relax your feet, firm but relaxed shoulders, good grip. Eyes on the target and shoot." Callie instructed her best friend then trailed her eyes over to Gina trying to flirt with Terry for the hundredth time.

"Love of God Gina he's married!" Callie sighed.

Holt, Gina and Adelaide kept kn messing up so Callie and Terry got irritated.

"Okay lemme just show you." Callie suggested before snatching the gun out of Adelaide's hands and her and Terry shot into the Target.

"That's eight. They did it!" Gina celebrated.

"That was only 7." Adelaide corrected making Callie scoff as she turned around.

"Why are you counting our shots?" Callie questioned the three.

"Are you trying to get us Recertified?" Terry barked.

"Yes. If you can make 8 of 10 shots. I can sign off on you carrying a gun again. Gina and Adelaide are here as office witnesses and I thought it would be easier for you two in a pressure environment." Holt explained to the frustrated officers.

"I can't believe you tricked us." Terry exclaimed

"You're two good cops, way to good to be shackled to desk duty. You only have one each hit until you two get Recertified. So deep breath huh? Take the final shot." Captain encouraged the duo making Callie roll her eyes.

"Nope...no." Callie disagreed as she put the gun on the counter and stormed off.

"Callie wait! Oh God I need to call in the cavalry." Adelaide called for her best friend before pulling out her phone and dialing a number.

It had been a couple minutes before Karmen Rodriguez walked through the doors making Callie tilt her head at her best friend.

"Come on Baby sis. It's time for a Ted talk." Karmen told the younger blonde before pulling her arm to somewhere more private.

"Okay imma make this quick or else Ramona is going to track me down. You need to get recertified." Karmen cut to the chase making Callie scoff.

"Says the girl who made it happen in the first place." Callie scoffed at her older sister.

"I must admit... that wasn't my finest moment but cut us some slack. We found you in an alleyway...okay we just got paranoid." The older blonde comforted making Callie's eyes soften.

"Hah so you admit it!"

"Callie?"

"I'm sorry... I guess you have a point. But ever since...I've changes alot... I guess almost dying changes you."

"I know dear but do this for dad. He wouldn't want to see you like this."

"Why are you pulling like that card?"

"Its the best one right now. Plus Jake told me too incase..."

" Jake did what?!"

"Not important...but right now. You are going to march your ass into that room and shoot that shot or I swear to God I will kidnap Kaia." Karmen subtly threatened the girl.

They all had to go back to the Precinct because the rest of the squad had broken into a crime scene while being drunk.

Terry and Callie had decided to lecture Jake outside on the roof.

" okay before you get mad..." Jake started.

"Shut it!" Callie interrupted.

"Holt was right. I've been so worried about my own kids I forgot about my stupid grown up kids." Terry exclaimed.

"That's insulting." Jake complained slightly.

"He ain't wrong though." Callie stated.

"We should've been on you guys more and starting now we will be. But if you ever do this again, I swear I will crush your head in one hand." Terry threatened.

"You don't mean that."

"Try me!" Terry barked as he walked towards the door.

"Where you going?"

"Boss it taking the heat for something that wasn't even his fault. I can't let that happen."

"Wait. Damn it. Look it's not your fault either. And it's not the Vulture's fault. Its Amy's." Jake started before Terry reached for him.

"I know. I know. i
Its mine. It's mine. Okay? God I do not love how this worked out." Jake stuttered before leaving the roof.

Jake ended up giving the credit to Vulture and took the heat for the situation that happened. Callie and Terry took the last shots and officially were recertified.

Callie was walking up the stairs to her apartment the following night. With a slight frown on her face. But she started smiling slightly when she saw Jake at her door.

"Wow...you...look...beautiful." I
Jake stuttered in awe a making Callie blush slightly.

She was wearing a long red satin slip dress with heels. Her hair was done into two braids which met at the back into a messy bun. She pulled the outfit together with a cream trench coat with a few charm bracelets.

"Thanks. My date got canceled. Wha...what are you doing here?" Callie asked her friend.

"I got bored and thought why don't I take my best friend out on a late night picnic." Jake offered as she held up a basket.

"Okay sure but I feel a little overdressed..." Callie started.

"No...you're not. You... look perfect." Jake gushed making Callie's cheeks warm up again.

She opened the door and put her coat on the hangar before switching on the lights. The girls had gone to their friends house for the weekend.

"Uhhhh I don't think the weather agrees with our plans." Callie told the brunette as she looked out the window as she heard the faint rumbles of thunder in the sky.

"Well we could always just watch a movie?" Jake suggested as he put the basket on the dining table.

They made some popcorn and some drinks, got some blankets before they sat on the couch and switched on Die Hard 2.

They had been laughing and talking during the movie when Callie got a call. She stood up and went to the kitchen to take it.

"Aiden...hi."

"Callie...hi. I'm so sorry I couldn't make it tonight. I-" he started.

"You mean you standing me up?!" Callie cut him off making Jake's ears perk up.

" I'm sorry okay... I got caught up at work." He excused.

"Really because I called Nathaniel and the Hospital and they said you checked out hours before our date...saying you had other plans with a girl named Maria... said you mentioned her alot." Callie stated.

"Uh... I..."

"Yeah um this is over... ba bye." Callie snapped before hanging up.

Jake strolled over to Callie and pulled her into a side hug.

"I heard the call. I'm sorry about him." Jace comforted.

"Why are all guys dicks?"Callie sighed as they headed back to the couch.

"Not all of us are... he may have been but you deserve someone better." Jake assured before kissing the top of her head.

They didn't know if it was the alchohol or something else but in that moment they didn't care about their urges.

"Screw it." Jake said before he gently put his hands on the side of Callie's face and pulled her into a gentle kiss.

"Yeah screw it." Callie said before Jake took off her glasses and Callie kissed him, this time it was more passionate than gentle.

Callie's hand lead to Jake's hair as they ran through them while his hands found their way to her waist and pulled her closer. She then jumped and wrapped her legs around his waist and he walked them over to the couch, breaking the kiss and gently trailed a few across her jawline as her lowered them onto the couch. And well you can imagine what happened after that

Sorry for the slight hiatus... this chapter took longer than expected to write.

So Callie and Jake had their first kiss... well more than that.

I've never really written a kiss scene before but pls give me your opinion on if you've ever written a kiss scene pls give me tips.
