Mollie Henderson rushed down the bustling streets of Glasgow, the city where she currently lived. Her morning had been all sorts of wrong and the blonde girl was just waiting for something else to tip her over the edge. Mollie didn't have to wait long for it though because as she was hurrying her way towards the train station, she slammed into a hard chest. The impact of the collision caused her to tumble towards the ground and she fell on her backside on the soaking wet pavements.
"I'm so sorry," a deep voice spoke out from above her. The male crouched down towards the ground and started to pick up some of the pieces of paper that Mollie had dropped and were now sticking to the sodding tarmac."I should've been more careful." He continued and Mollie instantly shook her head, her blonde hair falling into her eyes as she took the pieces of paper from his hands.
"Completely my fault." The two teenagers laughed to themselves and when Mollie looked up at the stranger, she felt a strange sense of familiarity wash over her. She felt like she recognised the boy who was currently standing over her. He was a lot taller than she was and his brunette hair had been styled neatly. He was dressed head to toe in a tracksuit with the Celtic badge visible for everyone to see.
"This might seem totally random but do you play for Celtic?" The young blonde questioned as she looked up at him. His name had completely escaped her but she knew that she recognised his face from somewhere.
Mollie was the younger cousin of Liam Henderson and the older cousin of Euan Henderson. Both boys played for the green club in Glasgow, Celtic. Euan was coming up through the ranks and Liam was trying to land himself a regular spot in the starting eleven.
Despite living in Glasgow, Mollie had been born and partially raised in the eastern side of Scotland, in Edinburgh. Because of her upbringing, the blonde girl wasn't a fan of either Glasgow side and instead supported who she felt were the 'superior green and white team', Hibernian.
"I do, why?" The brunette boy was skeptical. If she was a fan, he didn't mind and would happily take a picture with her if that's what she wanted but he wasn't convinced since she had to ask the question.
Mollie shook her head and let out a small laugh. Sher was in disbelief. What were the chances of her bumping into one of her older cousin's teammates in the middle of Glasgow? Pretty slim. Glasgow was a fairly big city and in the rush that she was in, she didn't have any time to stop anc chat, yet, here she was.
"My cousin plays for the first team. Liam Henderson?" She questioned although she knew that he would know exactly who he was. The two of them were relatively close since they both played for the same team but they hadn't spent much time together during the season just past. Liam had been sent out on loan to Hibernian. Naturally, Mollie had been ecstatic about it. Her older cousin was playing for her favourite team and she had a one way ticket to getting to be friends with the entire first team. Mollie being Mollie, she succeeded and many of the players were still her friends to this date.
Kieran immediately knew who it was that she was talking about and he couldn't believe that he had never met Mollie before, especially since she was so gorgeous. Her blonde hair was no longer than her shoulders and her blue eyes were piercing yet warm at the same time. Her Scottish skin was also something to be admired. Her pale skin complimented her features perfectly.
"Anyway, it was nice to meet you but I have to run." Mollie bid the teenage boy goodbye before rushing away, hoping that she would be able to catch her train that would take her into Edinburgh for her internship.
As Mollie was leaving, she turned back around and faced the brunette hoy who had been watching her leave, and shouted, "Fun fact: Hibs wore green and white before Celtic did because they're the superior green and white team!"
The boy watched her leave with a smile on his face. He had no idea who Moie Henderson was but he was desperate to find out.
Mollie was an intern at the Evening News as a sports journalist. It had been something that she had always been interested in. Growing up, Mollie and her mother would attend both Liam and Euan's games. With Mollie's mum being a single mother, she had to work a few extra shifts in order to provide for both of them. This meant that she had to miss a few of her nephews' games but Mollie, she never missed a game. When Sandra returned home from her shifts and picked up her daughter, Mollie would give her mum the run down of the game. Ever since then, she knew what she wanted to do.
As Mollie jogged into the train station and weaved in and out of the many rushing bodies, she watched her train leave the platform. She couldn't believe her luck. Her lateness would not be appreciated by her superiors and it had all been caused by Liam. Her older cousin was incapable of organising himself and of course, he had lost his training kit that morning. He managed to rope Mollie into helping him and that was exactly why she was standing on the platform of Glasgow Central Station helplessly and about to phone into her internship, sick.
The blonde girl turned her back on the station, deciding that it was too much hassle to wait on another train since the services of Scotrail could never be relied upon.
She made her way back through the same streets that she had to walk through on her way to the train station with her phone at her ear, informing her boss that she wouldn't be able to make it into work that day due to a sudden illness. Mollie knew that he would have been a bit doubtful of her since she rarely ever missed a day so she added in a few extra coughs for extra effect.
The walk home was relatively short and as soon as Mollie made her way through the doors of the house that she shared with her older cousin, she made her way up the stairs and fell back asleep on her bed. There was no better way to spend a sick day in her opinion.
For some reason, as Mollie drifted in and out of sleep, her mind continued to think back to the handsome stranger she had met in the streets. She didn't even get his name.

i have gone through and edited this as much as i can at this stage but some of the main ideas are still here and i'm struggling to change some of them so if it comes across as cringey and unrealistic, i was fourteen lol.
