"i'm sorry." harry winks spoke as he moved from one side of the hall to the other so that he was standing in front of his girlfriend.
"i'm sorry too, harry. not once did i think about how it would make you feel. i never meant to make you feel like that. i could never be embarrassed of you, i genuinely thought that todd was trying to be friendly." allie spoke, feeling ashamed of her actions. they weren't intentional but it didn't matter to her because she had still hurt her boyfriend and that caused her pain.
"i know. i know you, allie and you would never do something like that intentionally." harry started, letting out a nervous chuckle as he thought about the possible outcomes of this conversation. he didn't want to lose allie, he couldn't lose her.
"i'm sorry. i should've been calmer and let you explain properly and i should never have said what i said about-" the brunette boy started to ramble and allie stepped forward, being careful to avoid the flowers and she put her finger to harry's lips.
"shh, it's all forgotten." the blonde girl smiled and harry could only return the gesture, feeling happy that things were beginning to return back to normal for the two of them.
"where does this leave us now?" allie questioned and harry gestured to the flowers so she picked them up. when allie had the flowers in her arms, harry plucked the small card from the cellophane and handed it to his girlfriend to read.
allie looked at her boyfriend in confusion but all that he could muster up was a clumsy smile. he nodded his head at his girlfriend, telling her to read the card so she did.
allie,
i love you.
when the blonde girl looked up to her boyfriend to see if he was being serious, he nodded his head at her.
"i love you." harry was ready to list the all of the reasons why he loved her but he didn't need to because allie had dropped the flowers onto the floor and jumped into his arms.
"i love you too." she whispered into his ear as he embraced her tightly.
despite the argument being something that both of them hated, it proved to be something that they both desperately needed. the space from each other proved to them both that they didn't want to live without the other and it allowed them to realise that they loved each other.
love had been a complicated concept for both allie and harry for different reasons. allie had been shy and quiet her entire life. because of this, she had found it difficult to ever properly establish a connection with someone. until harry that is. harry had struggled because he was known to fall hard and fast. many times, harry had thought that he was in love but it never worked out. the feeling that he thought was love wasn't because what he felt with allie was different. he knew for definite this time that it was love.
"come in." after allie and harry pulled away from their hug, both of them feeling on top of cloud nine, the blonde girl invited her boyfriend into her flat.
when aubree saw her little sister walk in with her boyfriend, she knew that she had succeeded. aubree made sure to thank monique next time she saw her. monique had retreated to her bedroom to allow the two sisters time to chat earlier on.
"you two look happy." aubree gave harry a reassuring smile and a clap on the back which the london boy found to be strange but he didn't let it show. he had only just found himself in his girlfriend's good books again and he most certainly didn't want to ruin it.
"have fun." the oldest of the sister smirked at the two before leaving and heading back to her own house.
aubree had moved to london a few years back for her job and had remained ever since. it was part of the reason of why allie wanted to study in london. carly was still in brighton but the three girls made sure to always make time to see each other when they could. none of them were ever left out and that's the way that they liked it.
allie lead harry through to her bedroom where they both just lay on her bed in contentment. they were both so happy and nothing could change that.
"yo, bitch!" monique yelled as she barged into her best friend's room, not expecting to find harry there.
"oh my!" the tanned girl squealed as she noticed that her ex boyfriend was lying in bed and cuddled into her best friend. it was a sight that she was over the moon to see.
"anyway, i came to tell you that i'm heading out to meet briony." monique smiled and left before allie had the chance to respond. briony was monique's new girlfriend and allie was incredibly happy for her. they were a match made in happen and allie was ecstatic for her best friend.
allie waited until she heard the door of the flat shut before she sat herself up and straddled her boyfriend's lap.
"allie, what are you-?" harry was shocked and wondering what his usually timid girlfriend was doing. the sudden surge of confidence was something that he found to be very attractive but he had no idea what was going on.
"let's take aubree's advice and have fun." allie leaned down and captured her boyfriend's lips in her own. it was slow to start off with but as harry and allie both started to realise that it was happening, things between them started to become more passionate and quicker paced.
usually, things between the couple were soft and romantic but not today. they were in love but they were needy. they wanted each other badly. it was still a way of them showing each other how much they loved one another and how much they cared because they were a match that even cupid would be proud of.
a/n: they've made up and i'm so happy for them!
sorry that i didn't update yesterday. hibs were playing again and with a last minute penalty to claim the three points, it was a very intense game. after that, i kind of forgot :/ sorry about that!
this book only has four more chapters until it finishes. i always have two books on the go but i've yet to finish my next project (it's a love hate relationship). if i don't finish it before this book ends, i'll just be sticking to updating 'born to die', editing and publishing 'i'm on my way' and hopefully uploading parts of 'let me move you'. it's all a little bit hectic at the moment but trust me when i say that it's almost all done and almost managed.
thoughts on last night's final?
- massive congrats to bayern. they're easily the best team in the world right now. lewandoski was robbed off the ballon d'or this season so hopefully the trophy makes up for it.
enjoy and stay safe!
lots of love, e x
