"I feel like a deer in the headlights of love" Oikawa spoke softly as he held one of the puppies close to him.

"You do realize that Miko is gonna be pissed as hell and that you need to buy dog food?" Makki asked, he was petting the mama dog. He was also happy, because this will only bring the break up faster. "Can I name one of them?"

"You're gonna end up naming it something like Optimus Pupperino 3000, so no. Me and Iwaizumi will pick names" Oikawa said and smiled to himself, such a boyfriend move.

"Awh, that's so cute. You guys are practically married" Makki tried teasing Oikawa, but he was shocked by his response.

"Pft, I can only wish for now" Oikawa mumbled and Makki practically choked on his own spit. Always expect the unexpected.

"So, Miko called while I was upstairs. I picked up out of the habit and she said she's coming back in like 7 hours. She has a flight, I hope she's either late for it or she trips on air and breaks her legs" Mattsun said as he walked downstairs, he picked up a puppy that ran to him and immediately changed his tone to "awh little puppy, little baby~ who's a good boy? Who's a good boy?~".

"Well shit. I should go and buy what they need. Where's Iwaizumi by the way?" Oikawa  hadn't seen him since they came back and was getting worried.

"I saw him on the phone earlier, sounded like an important phone call, maybe his parents or something" Mattsun scratched his head. Just as he said that Iwaizumi started walking downstairs.

"What did I miss?" He asked, Makki just smirked while Oikawa cleared his throat.

"I need you to go to a petshop with me. You know more about this, so ..." Oikawa's voice got quieter towards the end, this whole thing really did feel like he and Iwaizumi were a thing.

"Alright, grab your coat. Makki, don't torture the dogs, Mattsun make sure he doesn't dye their fur or something" Iwaizumi said as he fixed his sweater and went to Oikawa.

"Roger that! The puppies are safe with us!" Mattsun exclaimed and immediately started calling the cute balls of fluff rolling around to him. "One of you has to be a Puprika"

Iwaizumi, being a gentleman that he is, opened the door for Oikawa and the two headed out. They both got into the car, Iwaizumi in the drivers seat as always and headed out.

"Iwaizumi... What do I do with Miko?" Oikawa suddenly asked, Iwaizumi almost swerved into another lane because of the question.

"What do you mean?" Iwaizumi turned to him for a second after finally coming back to his senses.

"She's coming back and I know for sure that she will start an argument because of the dogs, maybe that would be good time to break up? But.. I don't know, seems kinda low to break up during an argument about dogs" Oikawa sighed heavily, if someone had told him six months ago that he would be asking his biggest crush, who is a guy, about how to break up with his fiance - he would have laughed and called them an idiot.

"That is true. I think that it doesn't matter whether you dump her or no, she will involve your parents in this. I personally would wait a bit more, I have a feeling it will all resolve by itself" Iwaizumi said as he kept his eyes on the road. Oikawa sighed again and nodded.

"You're right, something will happen.. for now, let's focus on this" Oikawa smiled to himself in order to calm himself down. Iwaizumi stopped at a small pet shop and the two walked in.

Oikawa stayed close to Iwaizumi while asking him all sort of questions about things he had never seen in his entire life.

"Hello, how can I help you?" A girl walked closer to them.

"We have five small huskies and a mama husky at the house, do you have any recommendations for food?" Iwaizumi spoke with such confidence that Oikawa was jealous. Yes, even though he was a CEO, he had trouble talking to strangers, especially those like the girl helping them. Even Oikawa had to admit that she was beautiful, her name tag read "Kiyoko" and Oikawa could swear he had heard that name before.

While Kiyoko was telling Iwaizumi about dry food, Oikawa decided to look at little parrots.

"You guys are so cute.. I should stop looking at animals before my house becomes a zoo" Oikawa mentally slapped himself to get his thoughts away from "cute tiny animals that would ruin his life".

"Oikawa! Come here, I need your opinion" Iwaizumi called for him, and honestly speaking, it made Oikawa's heart go crazy again. Damn, he was so head over heels for him.

"Yeah, what is it?" He asked as he gulped down the words he almost said instead ("yes honey?").

"Which one should we get: veggies and chicken or veggies with beef?" Iwaizumi asked while pointing at two bags of dry food.

"Hmm, chicken one. I feel like they'd like it more" Oikawa smiled brightly.

"You guys are such a cute couple" Kiyoko suddenly said and Oikawa almost tripped over nothing WHILE STANDING, he didn't even have a chance to say anything when Iwaizumi spoke.

"Thanks, but he's the cute one" he said and wrapped his arm around Oikawa's waist. The other just kinda stood there, cheeks red, heart beating like crazy, palms sweating, knees weak (mom's spaghetti).

And so, they ended up buying two big bags of dry food, many cans of food, bowls, a bunch of toys and beds. To be honest, this short trip made Oikawa so happy he didn't even care if Miko would yell at him.

They came back home to "Circle of Life" blasting on full volume while Makki was holding up the mama, her name's Tasha by the way (short for Natasha), and singing something that sounded like "AAAAAAAAH ZEBENIAAAAA SAMAMI ZIMAMA".

"Guys, turn the volume down" Iwaizumi said in a louder tone and Mattsun immediately pressed "pause".

"You came back! Did you buy everything?" Mattsun asked, he was acting extra nice since it wasn't usual for Iwaizumi to raise his voice even a little bit. He couldn't even imagine how he'd look like mad.

"Yeah, and while shopping I got an idea for names" Iwaizumi said as he finally put the heavy bags on the ground near a wall. "The mama's named Tasha, so let's just go with Avengers. They're all boys, so I thinking that we could name on Thor, other Loki and so on"

"I like the idea, that works for me" Oikawa smiled and nodded. Mattsun also nodded in agreement.

"I was gonna suggest naming them after foods, but your idea is better. I proclaim Loki mine" Makki jumped off the sofa, the puppies were happily lying on the sofa and resting after running around the mansion with Makki and Mattsun.

"Then, it's decided! There is one more spare room near the entrance to the yard,  it used to be Mattsun's room before he started sharing a room with Makki, so we could make it The Dog's room" Oikawa pointed at the pastel blue door. Iwaizumi had wondered what room that was since it was always locked.

And so, while Iwaizumi cleaned the room and, with Oikawa's help, put all the puppy stuff there - Makki and Mattsun tried making tuna sandwiches. Makki didn't do much as he was laughing to hard since he accidentally said "I want Mark Tuna to make me into a sandwich" (same tho Makki 😏👅👌).

Time passed rather quickly, by the time they finished with the room the sun had already set and the street lights once again illuminated the empty streets. Just as Oikawa thought he would chill with Iwaizumi on the sofa while eating sandwiches and drinking coffee, the door opened.

Miko walked in with bags in her hands, ah... designer clothes once again. Tasha peeked out of the room and Miko's eyes widened.

"Hey, Miko. How was the trip?" Oikawa asked as he sat on the edge of the sofa. Makki, Mattsun and Iwaizumi, who was in the kitchen making coffee, also peeked out. Some shit was about to go down.

"It was great, but what the hell is THAT!?" She exclaimed as she pointed her finger with a 1.5 inch red nail at the dog.

"That? She's a dog, there are five more in the room sleeping" Oikawa said, he literally had no fucks to give anymore. Before he would have still talked nice, but now that Iwaizumi had confirmed their relationship - shit didn't matter anymore.

"What do you mean?! There are six dogs in my house?! Are you fucking insane?! Get them out of here, you know how much I hate dogs!" She started yelling, but Oikawa still kept a i-don't-give-a-fuck expression on his face.

"First of all, this is my mansion. I bought it with my own money. Second of all, I don't care if you hate dogs. They're a part of this household starting today" Oikawa said and Makki slapped his hand on his mouth so he wouldn't start wheezing.

"Excuse me? Is that how you talk with your fiance?! Get rid of them now!" She yelled again, but Oikawa shook his head and laughed a bit.

"Why would I? Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean I will immediately throw it away. I don't like your heels or your nails, or the clothes you wear, but do I throw them out? No." Oikawa watched as Miko practically exploded from rage.

"Wow, you're acting like this?! If you keep this up, I won't marry you!" She yelled, probably thinking Oikawa still cared about that.

"Suit yourself, that probably won't happen anyway" Oikawa chuckled. Iwaizumi almost started wheezing, while Makki was on the floor unable to control himself and laughing loudly.

Miko looked at Oikawa angrily before turning around and walking out, she made sure to slam the door as well.

"Who is she to slam the doors in this house?" Oikawa asked himself. The trio walked out the kitchen, well, two walked out and one rolled out, and sat down next to Oikawa.

"Well, that happened" Iwaizumi exhaled loudly as he put his arm around Oikawa's shoulders.

"I couldn't care less about what she wants" he said. He was feeling...happier.
