Running outside in the back parking lot, Madison heard a man speaking, "I wasn't sure about this thing at first. But, damn."
She then saw the man who spoke launch Peter into a bus. He went through the glass and flew to the front of it, laying on the ground. The man with the device on his hand then punched the side of the bus, sending it rolling across the parking lot.
Madison ran forward and started to make the Earth move beneath the man. He fell to the ground and Madison held out her hand in order to lift the man up. Once she did she prepared to send him into the bus, but he used a shock wave, causing Madison to fly backwards.
She landed hard on her back, the oxygen in her lungs escaping her. Madison could see Peter fall out of the bus and look at her. In an instant he was crawling towards her, trying to make sure that she was okay.
The man then walked towards the two, a smirk on his face. Peter continued to crawl, "Why did he send you here?"
"I guess you'll never know," The man answered as he lifted up his device.
It glowed blue and Peter shielded Madison with his body, preparing to block her from the hit. However, a web latched onto the device. Both Madison and Peter turned and saw Ned, the web shooter in his hand and a shocked expression on his face.
"Nice shot!" Peter shouted as he grabbed onto the web.
They boy pulled the device off of the man's hand and then grabbed a hold of his web shooter. Still on the ground, Madison pushed out her hand and flung the man into the bus; a second later Peter shout out a web and stuck the criminal to the bus.
Madison pulled herself to her feet as she and Peter ran over to Ned. Peter franticly started to speak, "Ned, the guy with the wings is Liz's dad."
"What?" Ned asked in disbelief.
"I know I gotta tell Mr. Stark," Peter explained, "Call Happy Hogan, he is Mr. Stark's head of security, Maddi should have his number. And get a computer and track my phone for me."
Peter started to run away, but Madison reached out and grabbed his arm. The boy stopped and turned around; Madison looked at him for a second before taking off his mask and kissing him.
Time around them slowed as Peter stood in shock for a second. And then he started to kiss her back. Madison felt his arm wrapped around her waist and her stomach filled with butterflies. This was Madison's first kiss, and this is not how she thought it would go.
Eventually she pulled away and placed Peter's mask back on his head, "Be careful."
"I will," Peter replied as he swung away.
She watched him for a few seconds before she turned back and looked at Ned. He was standing completely still, and his face was frozen with his mouth wide open. The girl gave a shrug, "Let's do what Peter needs us to do."
Madison ran back into the school, Ned following behind her. "Oh my God, everything about that was awesome," Ned gushed as they made their way into the computer lab.
"Come on," Madison said as she sat in a chair and started to pull up screens.
"Why aren't you helping him?" Ned asked, sitting opposite of her.
The girl gave Ned a look, "Because I can't. If I could I would, but my name is on the Accords so I can't. This is the best I can do at the moment."
A call then came from Ned's cell phone. He answered it within a second and Peter was screaming on the other side, "Hello, Ned? Hey, hey, hey, hey, can you hear me?"
"Go for Ned," the boy responded.
"Ned, I need you to track my phone for me," Peter stated.
Ned started to type on the keyboard, "Yeah, but where is it?"
"It's in the car," Peter answered, causing Madison to smile.
"Genius move," Ned complemented, "Okay, he just passed the GameStop on Jackson Avenue."
A swerving sound came from the phone and Peter spoke, "Hey, where are the headlights on this thing? I'm in Flash's car."
"I'll pull up the specs," Madison answered as she started to type on the computer herself.
"Okay, you're on speakerphone," Peter stated, his voice sounding rushed.
Madison pulled up the driver's manual for the car, "You stole Flash's car. Awesome."
"Yeah, it's awesome. It's awe... Whoa!" Peter yelled, "Get out of the way, get out of the way! Move! Move!"
"Peter, are you okay?" Madison asked, worry filling her tone.
It took a second for him to answer, "I've never really driven before. Only with May in parking lots. This is a huge step up... Hey, have you gotten through to Happy yet?"
"Yeah. I'm working on it. I just gotta get the number from Maddi," Ned answered.
Ned pushed himself over to Madison and grabs her phone. When he spins back he whispers to himself, "Guy in the chair."
"I'm gonna pretend I didn't just hear whatever that was, so you can have your moment," Madison laughed as she scanned her screen.
Ned then called Happy and he answered within a second, "Takeoff in nine minutes. Hello? Hello? Who is this?"
"Uh... Mr. Happy, it's Ned," the boy answered.
"Who?" Happy asked, annoyed.
Ned gave a small smile, "I'm an associate of Peter Parker. Got something very important to tell you-"
"You gotta be shitting me," Happy snarled as he hung up the phone.
"Damn," Madison cursed, for once wishing Happy would be a little more chill.
Peter then spoke on the phone, "Hey, Maddi, how we coming on with those headlights?"
"Uh... Round knob to the left of the steering wheel, turn clockwise," Madison read off of her screen.
"Left," Peter said to himself, "Okay. Okay, perfect. So where's my phone now?"
"Um.. He stopped in an old industrial park in Brooklyn," Ned answered.
Madison shook her head, "What? That makes no sense. I thought he said he was going out of town."
"Weird. Oh, I reached Mr. Happy. Don't think he likes you, by the way. It sounded like he was catching a flight. He said something about taking off in nine minutes," Ned explained.
"What?" Peter asked.
Ned gave a shrug, "He was surrounded by a bunch of boxes."
"Boxes?" Peter questioned, It's moving day. It's moving day! It's moving day! He's gonna rob that plane! I gotta stop him!"
Madison's eyes grew wide as she stood up and walked over to Ned's laptop. "Okay, slow down. You're getting close," Madison spoke, "It's on your right."
"What?" the boy on the other side of the call asked.
"Turn right! Turn right!" Madison yelled.
She heard the car screech for a few seconds and then a loud crash came. Madison gabbed the phone, "Peter, are you okay?"
"Yeah," He answered after a second, "Just keep trying to get through to Happy."
"It's been and honor, Spider-Man," Ned spoke smiling at the phone.
The call ended and then the lights flicked on. Madison spun around and saw Ms. Warren standing at the door, "What are you doing here? There's a dance."
"Uh... We're... looking... at... porn," Ned tried.
Madison rolled her eyes and gave a nervous laugh, "He's kidding. I was just showing Ned the information about an element. You know, the one my father and I created."
The teacher gave the two a long hard look. And then she smiled, "Well if that's the case then you two better head back and have fun."
"Yes, Ma'am. We're so sorry," Madison apologized as she grabbed Ned's hand and ran out of the room.
Once they were away from the teacher she slowed down and looked at her friend, "Really? Porn?"
"I panicked okay," Ned huffed, and then he gave Madison a smile, "That was the coolest thing ever."
