Kuroo was definitely one to tease all his friends for 'simping' for their crushes, but boy was he whipped when it came to you. Kuroo was charming, funny but sweet. He had it all when it came to impressing people, but when it came to you, the new kid, it seemed you were perfectly content in being friends. It was frustrating to say the least. The school's player, reduced to the friend zone before he even had the chance to charm you. That sparked something in the boy, the absolute sheer determination to take you on a date. The first time he asked you flat out refused him. Kenma found it hilarious, obviously, and you quickly became friends with him because of that. Suddenly, their duo became a trio. Apparently, to the team, the captain's behavior reflected only that of a simp. Was it because he was trying to win you over? Yes. He was being the most helpful, kind, and considerate man he could be, offering to help you with classes, walking you home (and walking on the side of traffic), giving you his jacket if you were cold, defending you from jokes - even if you didn't mind them (which was super cute), the whole nine yards. Funny enough, by doing all of this, he actually got to know you very well, which only solidified his massive crush on you. But, nothing he did seemed to change your attitude towards him. It was still strictly a friend-only basis. So, for now at least, he let it sit. The team was still laughing behind his back whenever he would stare dreamily at you, though.
