Kageyama had been your best friend for nine years, and he was not about to lose you to some annoying show off like Bokuto. He never had to worry much about you being around when he played volleyball. Most people respected his obvious infatuation with you (even when you didn't seem to notice) and didn't even bother attempting anything. That, and the team looked after you, making sure no one was disrespectful. But that all changed when you came along to the Tokyo training camp. The first time you saw Bokuto play, you were amazed. There was a reason he was in the top five aces, but you didn't realize he was that cool! Safe to say, you and Hinata were both starstruck by the ace, and Kageyama wasn't having any of it. He didn't like how sudden your attention changed to be on the new guy, and yeah, he was jealous. It would've been fine if Bokuto hadn't noticed you as well and began talking to you any chance he got. Water break between matches? Talking to you. Lunch time? With you. Practice after dinner? You tagged along. Everyone could tell that Kageyama was super jealous, especially as he started to mess up his playing because he was distracted watching Bokuto walk over to chat you up.
