the two boys walked into the small clothing shop, the dinging of the bell alarming cas. dean laughed as his friend jumped at the high pitched noise, castiel now pouting. they walked towards a few shirt racks, each going to a different one.
castiel did his own little dance as he listened to the sound of i wanna be your girlfriend through the store speakers. as they both flipped through the shirts, they made small talk.
"you're the youngest of your brothers?" dean asked cas, the raven haired holding a shirt up.
"no, we have another brother, alfie." cas answered, putting the shirt back in the rack as he didn't like it.
"really? how old is he?" dean asked, already finding a shirt he liked. it was a simple grey t-shirt with venice beach printed on it.
"alf? he just turned seventeen." cas answered, looking back to see the shirt dean just picked. "ou, that'll look good." cas smiled, dean blushed and folded the shirt over his arm.
"sexuality?" cas randomly asked, dean raised a brow as he continued to search.
"its college, i'll fuck anyone." dean answered with a smirk, cas rolled his eyes. "i dont know, i guess i'm not opposed to dating a guy." dean shrugged, castiel smiled as he finally found a shirt he liked.
"top or bottom?" castiel asked, now interested in deans answer.
"um, for what?" dean questioned, gulping slightly.
"if you were with a guy, would you fuck or get fucked?" castiel asked, the lady in the isle across from him gasping. cas laughed at her reaction and looked to dean who was thinking about his answer.
"i think i'd fuck?" dean answered, clearly unsure on what he would like.
"i like that you think that." cas mumbled, hoping dean didnt hear. luckily, he didn't. they continued to shop and talk, even picking out items for each other and their friends.
deans phone started to ring, a call from sam.
"hey sammy." castiel turned his head to watch dean, unable to hear what sam was saying. "yeah, we'll be there." dean said before hanging up.
"what'd sam want?" cas asked, the pair now walking into the toy isle.
"they're all going out for lunch, apparently charlie and luci were whining for olive garden." dean answered, grabbing a small white teddy bear with pink angel wings. cas noticed the bear and smiled, reaching over to grab the plushie.
"its so cute." cas said, dean chuckled at his adorable reaction. "pasta sounds amazing right now." castiel mumbled, handing dean back the stuffed bear. the pair made their way up to the checkout counter, setting down all their stuff.
dean managed to start flirting with the girl being the counter, castiel growing annoyed by this. by the time they finished checking out and paying, dean acquired the girls number.
"she was easy, i barely had to say my name before she was drooling all over me." dean chuckled as he opened the drivers side door. castiel rolled his eyes, opening his own door and getting in. when dean started the car, the sound of all time low's popping champagne played on the radio. dean started singing along, castiel not knowing any of the words. cas smiled at the winchester, watching as dean got way too into the song.
they pulled up to the olive garden, seeing their friends car's already parked outside the restaurant. the pair walked into the restaurant, looking around to find their friends. cas grabbed deans arm when he finally found them, dragging the older to the tables.
cas sat in the booth, squeezing next to meg with dean on his other side.
"hey, destiel." lucifer smirked at his younger brother and friend.
"destiel?" they both questioned, looking at luci in confusion. charlie let out a chuckle from beside jo, knowing exactly what luci was doing.
"its your ship name." gabriel said, popping the sucker from his mouth. dean's face turned hot as castiel was still very confused.
"ship name?" castiel asked, tilting his head in confusion, his friends all looked at him as if he was stupid.
"like larry, louis and harry?" gabe tried to get cas to understand.
"aren't they married?" cas asked, just before the waitress walked up to them.
"could i get you all drinks?" she asked kindly, castiel took noticed of where deans eyes were. dean was definitely checking her out, probably gonna make an attempt to get her number as well. they all ordered their drinks, the waitress writing them all down.
"i'll be right back with your drinks." the waitress smiled, squeezing deans shoulder before she left. luci and michael both snickered when they saw this.
"she's tryna hop on that dick." charlie said, causing castiel to cringe and dean to smirk.
"gross." castiel mumbled, looking down at his hands at his chipped nail polish.
"can i choose the next color?" dean asked castiel, now ignoring his friends. dean grabbed cas' hand looking at the light purple polish.
"yeah, maybe i could paint yours too?" cas asked his friend, dean now looked at his own hands.
"yeah just not some girly color." dean said, knowing he wouldn't be able to pick up girls with pink nails. castiel nodded in agreement, letting go of deans hand.
"dean?" dean looked up to michael, humming as he heard his name. "benny is coming by the house today." michael told him, making sure dean knew that they were probably gonna get a hassle from him.
"ahh, right, since we're such irresponsible college kids." dean groaned, knowing they'd have to get back home before benny did. since benny actually owns the house, he does recent check ups to make sure the boys are doing alright. which the boys all have an inside joke to call benny the warden behind his back even though they all really love him.
"benny?" cas questioned, unaware of who benny was.
"he owns the house, comes by sometimes just to make sure we're all good." sam answered, castiel nodded at the younger winchester who had his arm over gabriels shoulder.
"we made a bit of a mess last night, will he be mad?" jo asked, not wanting the boys to get in any trouble.
"it'll be fine." luci shrugged.
castiel and meg somehow found themselves playing a game of tic-tac-toe on a napkin. meg won which caused castiel to whine on how it 'wasn't fair.' dean, who was in the middle of talking to michael and luci about some chick, was brought into cas and megs argument.
"deanie, tell her that she cheated and was being unfair." castiel whined, tugging on deans green sweater. the older looked at cas and meg, seeing meg sitting with her arms crossed over her chest and an annoyed expression.
"cassie, you cant cheat in tic-tac-toe." dean said, castiel gasped and rolled his eyes, putting his arms over his chest just as meg did. the younger let out a huff as he slouched into his seat.
"the baby of the family, everyone." luci said sarcastically, knowing his little brother hated when he called him a baby. castiel just rolled his eyes, clenching his jaw as he tried to seem tough.
"shut it, luci." castiel muttered, causing his older brother to snicker.
"or what? you gonna run off to daddy and tell him im 'being mean?'" luci asked, leaning over the table towards castiel.
"okay, both of you stop." michael demanded, pushing lucifer back as castiel sat up straight. "you're both acting like little kids." michael muttered, earning a glare from both of his brothers. gabriel being used to them bickering, he sat back and enjoyed the show with a strawberry sucker in his mouth.
sam, meg and charlie all looking at each other with concern for what might happen. dean was just worried about castiel, knowing that he was overly sensitive sometimes. meanwhile, jo was sat back in her seat, reading a book as she could care less about what they were arguing over.
"no, you all treat me little kid and i just- nevermind forget it." castiel muttered, pushing past dean and heading towards the bathroom before he made a fool of himself.
he looked at himself in the bathroom mirror, trying to ignore the rage building up in him. every time his brothers made a snarky/rude comment about him, he always found himself want to just hit the nearest thing. castiel hated letting others see that side of himself, so he hid it behind his soft personality.
he just hoped that he wouldn't explode some day.
after doing a calming breathing exercise, that his therapist taught him, he left the bathroom. dean looked up at castiel with worry, the younger giving him a small fake smile in return.
"castiel, im sor-" "its fine, luci, just forget it." castiel interrupted his brother, assuring him that it was fine just so he didnt have to hear him talk. luci nodded at his brothers words, clearly feeling guilty.
"well, i guess that teaches me to lose next time." meg joked, everyone at the table looked at her and then cas. castiel shrugged it off as he now sat on the outside of dean.
"heres your drinks, sorry for the wait." the waitress apologized as she came back to the table with a tray of their drinks.
"its fine, miss." dean said with a flirtatious smile, leaning over castiel to send her a wink. cas noticed the girl blush as she was handing out their drinks. she bent over to reach the far end of the table, several buttons on her top were undone, revealing the little cleavage she had.
"hey, um, next time you come back, have some decency for yourself? my friend here might sleep with you, but do you really just want a fuck and go?" castiel asked her, sam and charlie both choked on their drinks. the waitress letting out a gasp, surprised at cas' words. they all watched as she stomped away, not saying anything to defend herself.
"dude, what the hell?" dean asked, castiel looked at him, dumbfounded. then, the table broke out into laughter, all their friends finding the interaction hilarious.
"what? it's annoying." castiel shrugged, not seeing the problem. not realizing that he just cock blocked dean.
"whatever, man." dean mumbled, shaking his head in disappointment before acting like nothing happened. castiel, sipped on his lemonade, opening up the menu.
after ordering their food and making sure castiel kept his mouth shut this time, they ate. everyone making small talk. gabriel making a mess by putting water on his straw wrapper. sam cleaning up his mess. luci and dean having a completely unnecessary arm wrestle. jo still reading her book. meg and michael in some argument about what the best marvel movie is. castiel trying to ignore everyone. charlie doing something on her laptop, which everyone assumed was either playing a game or hacking a professor.
eventually they left, castiel and dean both getting into baby while arguing over something completely pointless.
"cas, im telling you, dont ever get in the way of me and a girl again." dean said as he started the drive home.
"or what?" cas remarked, looking at dean with his brows raised.
"i dont know, man, but now how am i supposed to get laid?" dean questioned, castiels face instantly turned red and he looked away from dean.
"i-i dont know." castiel mumbled. they sat in silence for the rest of the car ride, castiel wondering what he could do to apologize to dean.
when they pulled into the driveway, dean groaned, noticing bennys truck sitting outside the house. the pair slowly got out of the car and walked inside, seeing their friends all sitting on the couch, benny standing in front of them.
"hey, benny." dean greeted, his hands locked together nervously. benny, nodded his head towards the couch, signaling for dean and cas to sit.
"you guys have fun last night?" benny asked them, his arms crossed over his well built chest.
"yes, sir." luci stated proudly, everyone else mentally facepalming.
"wanna explain why my house is still a mess then?" benny questioned, looking at the empty pizza boxes and bottles of alcohol scattered on the floor.
"we were going to clean that up when we got back from lunch." sam answered him, the only one truly bold enough to answer him.
"you're back from lunch, so get your asses to cleaning." benny said, immediately leaving the room so they could all scurry around nervously.
once benny left the house, charlie turned on some music to make the cleaning less stressful. they all had their own jobs, castiel and sam were organizing the alcohol.
"so you and gabe?" castiel asked as the filled the shelves. sam practically choked on air, stopping what he was doing.
"hes my best friend? what about it?" sam asked, leaning against the counter.
"seems a little more than that." castiel said, sending sam a wink. sam instantly shaking his head at cas' words.
"no, we're just... close." sam assured, cas not believing him. "you and dean?" sam now asked, turning it around to cas.
"friends." cas said sternly, making sure to look anywhere but sam. sam snickered, shutting the cabinet once it was full.
"right."
