"okay" i said taking a deep breath as i got out of the car. we are finally here at the police station & jada, chenn, and milla came with me.

"you ready ?" chenn asked me.

"mhmm" i said.

she grabbed my hand and led me inside with jada and kamilla following behind. we walked in & a police came.

"how are you.. you can follow me" he said smiling and i nodded.

i slowly looked back and chenn and smiled.

"it's okay baby. you got this" she said kissing my cheek.

"so we know you were strangled from the ligature marks on your neck & you were found unconscious. we looked into it & we think it was definitely a male. we couldn't figure out the motive but we think it was sexually motivated or robbery gone wrong." he said.

"do you remember what what happened that night ?"

"yes, umm my best friend went to the corner store to get snacks because we were gonna do a movie night. and i had order pizza 10 minutes before that"

"i remember getting a message that it was gonna be at the door in a few minutes and i heard someone knock so i thought it was the pizza guy"

"it was my ex boyfriend cam.. he did it. he wanted to talk but i told him no so he forced himself in pushing me on the couch. he got on top of me and pinned my arms down"

"he said i thought i was better than him because i wouldn't give him another chance and then he called me a b word and said he'd kill me and i told him to do it because the only way he was gonna have sex with me is if i was dead."

"he started to choke me with all his strength with both hands. i blacked out but he thought i was dead" i said.

the detective looked at me & then picked up his walkie talkie.

"do you remember his last name ?"

"fletcher" i said and he nodded.

"yup let's get a warrant out for camron fletcher. 22 years old 6'3." he said.

"thank you miss reese.. we're gonna catch him" he said and i stood up.

"thank you" i said shaking his hand.

i walked out and chenn rushed over to me.

"hey how'd it go ?" she asked.

"good" i said as i continued to walk.

"mama, you gotta talk to me.. did they say anything. ik you don't wanna talk about it but you need to. cam is gonna pay for what he did" she said.

"he said they we're gonna put a warrant out on him. i told them everything" i said and she nodded smiling at me.

"i'm so proud of you my love.. ik this is not easy at all. and it's not easy to talk about especially when it was someone you loved and trusted. you did it baby" she said.

i hugged her tightly and she rocked us back and fourth. i'm so glad i have a supportive gf along with two best friends.. ionk what i would do without them.

i pulled away and hugged kamilla and then jada.

"come on let's go get you some wings stop" kamilla said making me clap my hands.

jada💋.

"hey where's angel ?" i asked as chenn came downstairs.

"mm i just put her to sleep. she's so paranoid right now but i gave her some melatonin hopefully she'll sleep for at least 3 hours." she said.

"myy poor baby. i feel so bad for her. she's literally the sweetest soul and wouldn't hurt a fly she didn't deserve that. imma need them to catch camron ASAP so i can whoop his a**" i said.

"man what. i just want 1 minute with him. like that's really a coward move literally a coward. your the reason yall broke up but you wanna get p*ssed off when she don't give you another chance ? we can jump him" chenn said and i nodded.

i came to chicago to spend time with my best friend but this ended up happening so i let my coach know i would be down here longer do these circumstances. i been training with a personal basketball trainer here in chicago to help me stay focused in basketball and stay in shape.

i watched a mikey walked through the door, he and 4 flower bouquets and 4 teddy bears.

"hi baby" i said pecking his lips.

"hey ma.. here i got this for you" he said handing me some flowers and an teddy bear.

"what's this for ?"

"well ik you've been going through a hard time after what happened to angel so i wanted to cheer you up. i hope this helps" he said.

i stared at him in awe taking in what he was saying. Mikey is literally the sweetest. i hugged him tightly.

"aww thank you baby. i love it. & i love you this means so much to me" i said.

"ofc i love you ma.. anything for you!"

he stood up and walked up to chennedy.

"and for you.. ik she's yo girl and it's been stressful for you as well. i hope this helps." he said.

i watched as chenn stared at him shocked but she was definitely happy. she quickly smiled at him.

"aww thank you. i really appreciate and it does help" she said hugging him.

"these are for angel and kamilla" he said setting the last two down on the kitchen counter.

he came over and sat down beside me laying his head on my shoulder.

"so anything new yet ?" he asked.

"yes angel went to the police station early and told them everything. obviously it was cam just like we thought. but they are currently getting an warrant out on him" i said and he nodded..

"that's good, cus i wanna whoop his a** for what he did to my sister" he said and me and chenn agreed.

kamilla walked through the door and sat down the pizza.

"i got pizza guys" she said and we all dug in.

"here this is for you. i hope this cheers you up cus ik you were stressing after what happened to angel" mikey said.

"aww thank you! i love it! yes this cheered me up. i appreciate you!" she said giving him a side hug.

after about 3 hours of chillin & talking angel walked down rubbing the sleep from her eyes. she walked over to chenn cuddling her. chenn wrapped her arms around angels waist.

"how was your sleep baby ?" i asked holding her head up to look at me.

"it was good, i slept well" she said smiling.

"good there's pizza over there on the table. your stomachs growling like crazy" i said making her giggle.

she got up and went to grab a plate and she walked back into the living room. we watched as mikey brought out her flowers and teddy bear. obviously she got the biggest because it's about her and we were really thankful for mikey.

"these are for you sis.. i know that you been going through a hard time right now and i want you to know we are with you every step of the way. i hope this helps cheer you up at least just a little."

i watched as angel stared at him frozen. her eyes filled with tears. angel was most definitely a softy but considering everything she's been through we couldn't blame her for crying.

"aww omg.. i love it. thank you so much. your the best little big brother ever. i appreciate you" she said wiping her tears.

he hugged her and smiled as he watched her admire the flowers. if yk angel yk she loves flowers.

"anything for you sis. we're here for you" he said.

angel set down her flowers and put two pizzas on her plate and a few wings and came and sat down beside me. she wrapped her arm around mine making me giggle because angel is clingy but she did this for protection and so that she could feel safe.

"i love you" she said quickly.

i was shocked.. like literally SHOOKETH. it was so sudden but it made me happy that she finally said and mean it.

"i love you too mamas" i said smiling back at her.

she nodded at me and then looked at her phone. i'm glad angel knows she got us with her to help her heal. ik she felt so alone that night and i never want her to feel like that again.

we are here to protect her and make sure nothing happens. and she such a strong women and that what makes me fall for her even more. and the friends that we have just goes to show she'll never be alone.
