i walked into the gym going straight to the locker room setting my stuff down. the team was talking about random stuff so i was just vibing.

"chenn were yo gf ? she's usually here by now" dana said.

"she's not here yet ?" i asked confused.

i grabbed my phone and went to angel's contact name.

calling "my love🩷".

angel picked up on the second ring making my heart smile, just hearing her voice makes me happy.

"hello ?" she said.

"mamas where you at ? you left before me and your still not here" i said.

"no because someone hit the back of my car so i had to call someone and now i'm otw there but i didn't even get to go to starbucks" she cried.

i heard her let out a little cry and then she sniffled making me laugh a little.

"it's okay baby don't cry.. i promise i will get you starbucks after practice and we can go to whatever mall you want" i said.

"OUUU OKAY i'm all better now" she said giggling.

"lol your the cutest love" i said.

"no your cute.. but i'm almost there" angel said

"okay drive safe ma" i said.

"i will" she said.

she threw the snacks down on my bed and then laid beside me. i miss my girl ngl but she went to the gym. i can't be mad tho cus that's why she so fine now her body and all.

"ouu i love that get it" she said and i nodded.

we continued looking around the mall and then decided to head back to angel's apartment. once we got there she got in the shower and then i went after her.

"you wanna doordash ?" she asked me.

"yess i'm so hungry" i said and she nodded.

"hey imma run to the store real quick tho i will be back" i said and she nodded.

i grabbed my phone and keys and went to the corner store. i felt my phone vibrating so i picked it up and answered it cus i already knew it was mikey.

"hey beautiful" he said.

"hey you wassup ?" i asked.

"nun chillin. we haven't talked all day so i had to make sure you good just wanted to hear yo voice" he said making me smile and blush like crazy.

"i miss you sexy" i said.

"i miss you.. wyd ?" he asked.

"i'm at the store right now getting some snacks and stuff for tonight. wyd ?" i asked.

"chillin watching my hb play the game. i'm waiting for him to lose so i can beat him" he said making me laugh.

"aye but i gotta question tho ma" he said.

"mhm what's that ?" i asked.

"yk i got a homeboy that's a photographer and he just got a new camera.. he wanted me to come do a photoshoot so he could practice using it. i wanna do a couples photo shoot tho you down ?" mikey asked.

omgg i love that idea.. i feel like us doing a couples photoshoot would be so cute and i love being in front of a camera let along beside my man.

"ouu i love that.. yeah tell him let's do it" i said.

"bet bet, can you find our outfits tho ?" he asked.

"mhmm i gotchu" i said.

"bet, well imma let you go tho. i love you ma and stay safe".

"i love you more and you stay safe to".

we said our goodbyes and hung up. i continued to walk around the store to find some good snacks to get for us.

"how'd it go love ?" i asked my gf.

"it was chill nun to serious" she said and i nodded.

we talked on the phone for a little minute before she had to get in the shower so we hung up. i went downstairs to the living room because my doordash order is supposed to get here any minute now.

i heard a knock on the door and i opened it to see camron. my ex boyfriend the one that beat me, cheated on me and stole my dog. and he has the nerve to show his face here ?.

"man omg what do you want camron ? what don't you understand about LEAVE ME ALONE AND WE'RE DONE ?? like fr get it through the thick skull" i said.

"man angel chill out.. lemme talk to you i just wanna talk" he said.

"no there's NOTHING to talk about. you ain't wanna talk when you was giving my so called friend back shots now did you?"

"it was a mistake on my mama.. i want you angel i messed up"

"yeah you did mess up and now you can't fix it it's to late. you have no idea what you did to me. you took so much away from me. my confidence, my love for life, my love for myself. you think it's okay for you to hurt me not only emotionally but physically and then think imma go back to you ?"

"yeah your actually dumber than i thought. now leave cam or i will call the cops" i said.

he stared into my eyes and i could see was evilness and madness. it's hard to believe that i fell in love with someone who cheat and beat on women. i was so blind.

i tried to close the door but he put his foot in it. he forced it open grabbing my arms he forced me onto my couch. i watched as he got on top of me pinning my arms down as i kicked and screamed.

"CAM GET OFF OF ME." i yelled.

"LET GO YOUR HURTING ME" i yelled as i kicked and screamed.

"you think your too good for me huh ? your not better than me angel" he said through gritted teeth.

"you did this cam. you cheated on ME. you beat on ME. but yeah now i do think i'm better than you. i AM better than you. make more money. my life is going good and ion gotta scam people in order to make money" i said.

he stared at me and then punched me the face.

"you take that back you b****. i will kill you" he said.

"go ahead, kill me but just remember i'm the girl that you had to kill in order to have sex with. your not big or bad cam. your a loser" i said.

he began to choke me i could feel myself losing consciousness. i saw everything go black after about 45 seconds to a minute.

i woke up and looked around i had machines hooked up to me and i could hear beeping noises.

"she's awake" i heard a voice say.

"hii bestie, how do you feel ?" jada asked me.

"okay what happened ?" i asked.

"we don't know.. me and chenn came home and you were on the floor unconscious. they think someone tried to kill you because they see ligature marks around your neck" she said.

"where's chenn ?" i asked.

"she went to get us food.. she should be back any minute now".

"bestie i'm so sorry.. that i wasn't there to protect you" jada said.

"it's okay it's not your fault bestie" i said holding her hand.

a few minutes later chenn came in. i smiled at her.

"hey baby.. how you feel ?" she aksed hugging me.

"i feel okay. my face hurts but im okay" i said.

"do you remember what happened mama ? someone tried to kill you" i said.

"i don't remember" she said tears stinging her eyes.

"hey it's okay love don't cry.. just take your time. no one's expecting you to remember right now. we just want you to heal as of right now" i said rubbing her forehead.

she laid her head on my lap and i rubbed her neck to calm her down.

"but when you get out you gone come live with me because your apartments not safe" i said and she nodded.

"here bestie you should eat" jada said handing her some wing stop.

"i love wing stop" angel cried making me laugh.

"no tears baby your okay we gotchu" i said wiping her face.

she nodded and hugged me. i hugged her back tightly i want her to know she has both me and jada and we're here to protect her.

"hug bestie ?" angel asked innocently.

jada walked over giving her a hug.

"eat baby, you need food in your body" i said and she nodded.

angel was getting released tomorrow so we decided to spend the night with her tonight. after she finished eating jada helped her bathe while i went home and showered and then we switched. jada went to shower while i helped angel get ready for bed.

"babe will you come cuddle with me ?" she asked and i nodded.

i got into bed beside her & she laid her head on my chest. i rubbed her thighs lightly cus it helps her to relax and makes her sleepy.

"night mamas" i said kissing her forehead.

"night bae" she mumbled.

i felt her put more body weight on me & that let me know she drifted off to sleep.
