ย ย ย ๐๐๐๐๐'๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ carries her down the stairs of her home, smiling at her parents and Silas as they sat at the kitchen table as she makes her way towards the pantry to grab a quick breakfast before she needed to be out of the door in time to get to practice.
"Morning, honey." Alex smiles softly at her daughter.
"Morning. Uh, I might be late coming home tonight." She tells her parents, dodging her brother as he reached out to take her bottle apple juice, "No, mine."
"Why are you gonna be late?" Vance looks over at his teenager, eyebrow raised.
"Going to hang out with Robby." Laken tells them, looking down at her phone screen at the text message she had gotten from Aisha to come hangout with them and Demitrie to celebrate Cobra Kai's win. "I'll text you when I'm home."
"Hey." Silas stops his sister before she can leave, "Tomorrow night it's just the two of us, okay? I don't want to keep you from your friends all summer, so we need to plan days to hang out just the two of us."
Laken holds here thumb up as she gives her brother a sweet smile, "You got it, dude!"
"Get out!"

โ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ going to sleep on me? โ Robby's chest vibrates as Laken lays her head on his chest, both of them laid out on a blanket in the grass at a little hide out the two of them found years ago.
"Hmm, no." She denied even though her eyes were closed, cuddling up more into his chest.
Robby's hand comes put to run his fingers through her short blonde hair, a soft smile on his face, "Lakie?" Silence fills the space between them, causing the boy to look down and found his best friend asleep.
"How do you always manage to make me fall more in love with you?"

๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ rolls her eyes as she walks behind Miguel and Hawk, both boys on two electric scooters, the three of them coming to a stop in front of the dojo.
"Alright. So, I get my license next week." Hawk spoke to the two, mostly talking to Miguel, "My mom's gonna give me her Sentra. I think I'll put a blue racing stripe down the middle, hood to tail."
"So this just means that I don't have to drive your scrawny ass everywhere?" Laken questions her cousin with a teasing smile on her face, "Thank God. I was tired of my car smelling like your musty ass feet every time you took your shoes off."
"Whatever. My feet smell like a winner." Hawk pushes her playfully.
"It's subtle. I like it." Miguel nodded, laughing at the two cousins. "Looks like we got some new students."
"Fresh fish."
"Leave them alone!" Laken calls after the two, being ignored as the two walked ahead of her.
"It's the champs." Chris, a kid from school, gestures towards the two boys walking towards them.
"Check this out."
Miguel chuckled, "Don't."
"Hey, mouth-breathers, move it." Hawk jerks his head to the side.
"Sorry about that." Mitch, another kid from school stepped away from the door.
Chris pulls the door open, "I'll get the door."
Hawk looks between the two boys, Miguel watching with a smile on his face, "So, you guys wanna be Cobra Kai's, huh?" He jumps, causing the two boys to jump back slightly, "You got a long road ahead of you."
Laken rolls her eyes as the two boys in front of her walked in, a smile on her face as Chris gestures for her to walk in, "Thank you, Chris."
His eyes widen, "You. . . you know who I am?"
"We have classes together." She chuckled, walking into the dojo.
"What the hell happened here?" Miguel takes in one of the broken mirrors.
Aisha shrugged, "Looks like sensei threw a party."
"Must have been pretty sick if fire got involved." Hawk chuckled.
Laken sits down in the floor after dropping her bag, moving her body forwards as she begun to stretch before the class started, "I just hope he knows how to fix it."
"Quiet!" Johnny's voice suddenly broke out through the room, causing a few people to jump at the loud volume. "The dojo's closed to new students today."
"We just wanted to sign up after we saw the tournament." Chris tells the older man that walked towards the group of kids that wanted to sign up to take the class.
"Do I need to say it again?" His voice is harsh as he spoke, "Get out!"
"Yes, sir . . . sensei." Mitch spoke, gesturing his head towards the door, "Come on, let's go."
"Let's go, move it." Johnny ushers them out of the door, "Come back tomorrow. And bring your checkbooks. Everyone! Fall in!"
"Help me up!" Laken holds her hands out to the older man, who rolled his eyes but helped the teenager up anyway. "Thanks, Rocky."
"Get in line, Laken Reese!"
The blonde holds her hands up, moving to stand behind Aisha in the line.
"Must've been a ragger, Sensei." Hawk smirked as he stood in front of Johnny.
Miguel stood at his side, "Were you celebrating all weekend?"
"Celebrating what? My students are a bunch of pussies?" Johnny asked the two, the smirks on the teenage boys' faces falling as they look at each other in confusion, "Diaz, Hawk, up front! Hawk, did you attack your opponent when his back was turned?"
"Yes, Sensei." His voice held confusion as Johnny walked behind him.
"Diaz, did you purposely attack your opponent's injury?"
"Yes, Sensei."
Laken tilts her head in confusion before the realization crept up. Johnny was talking about what the two had pulled at the tournament with Robby.
"You think that makes you badass? What's the matter, question too tough?" Johnny asked, "Maybe you need some help. Miss. Robinson!"
"Yes, Sensei."
"Two cobras in the jungle. One kills the strongest lions, the other kills a crippled monkey. Which Cobra do you want to be?" Johnny questions her.
"The one that kills the lion, Sensei." Aisha answers his question.
"Laken!" He turns to his best friend's daughter.
She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Why is that?"
Laken crosses her arms, hip popped out to the side, "Because it killed the stronger animal."
"Correct! Cobra Kai is about being badass. And the baddest badass is the one who beats his opponent when he's at his strongest." Johnny looks at his students, "Not when his back is turned!" He looks at Hawk, "Not when he's injured!" He looked at Miguel. "Is that understood?"
"Yes, Sensei!"
"That means no more cheating. No more fighting dirty. From here on out, those are pussy moves, and you don't want to be pussies, do you?"
"No, Sensei!"
"Good. It's why I had you wear your white belts. We're starting over." He says before looking back at the two boys, "Diaz, Hawk, fifty push-ups on your knuckles. Miss Robinson, warm them up."
Laken follows Johnny into his office, jumping up to sit on the corner of his desk, "They're gonna figure it out."
"Figure what out?" He looked up at her.
"That Robby is your son. Especially since you're so angry at what the two of them did."
"They won't figure it out." Johnny pauses, "How's his shoulder?"
"It's better. Not fully healed, but he's fine." She says, moving off the desk as Miguel walks into the office. "He'll be okay."
"Hey." Johnny stops her before she can walk out, "Thank you."
"Always."

โ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ I have to come with you? โ Laken follows behind Johnny in the hardware store, "I'm supposed to be at Hawks watching that stupid movie with the others."
Johnny keeps his eyes on the list in his hand, "You've seen Over the Top a ton of times."
"I'd pick Over the Top over the Hardware Adventures any day." She rolled her eyes at the older blonde.
Johnny rolls his eyes, spotting an employee, "Hey, man. I'm looking to replace a four by eight piece of mirror."
The employee smirked as his eyes locked on the t-shirt that Johnny was wearing, "Metallica! Noice!"
"Rock on, man."
"Rock on indeed, man. The '80s were the best era ever." He says, "The best era ever. Right? I mean, I was only, like, five years old when it happened, but still. You remember Caddyshack?"
"Huh. Yeah, sure."
"Yeah, you remember the gopher who used to dance? The. . . ," The worker started to make some noise with his mouth, doing a stupid dance, "Hey, my question, is that a real gopher that they got to do that is that like something they didโ,"
Laken raised an eyebrow at the man, shaking her head as a sigh leaves her lips, "Look, dumbass, we don't know. He was partying with women while you were locked away in your mom's basement with the one friend that you had playing D&D. Do you have the stupid mirror glass or not?"
Johnny has to cover his mouth with the piece of paper in his hand to hide the small smile that appeared on his face, a laugh leaving his lips.
The employee looks at the blonde as he blinked back tears caused by the teenager, "Oh, yeah. Uh. . . Definitely. Just. . . I'll be right back."
"Geez, Lake, that was harsh." Johnny laughs at the teenage girl.
"Mr. LaRusso, it's, uh. . . it's over here." Robby's voice floated towards the two, Laken tilting her head to the side as Johnny moves in the direction it came from.
"That's a deck screw. We could use that to hang the shelf, but then the screw will be doing all the work." Daniel tells him, a board in his hand. "What we really need is a toggle bolt."
"Dude, this is stalker behavior." Laken whispers as Johnny spies on the two.
"Shut up, kid."
"Hey, Metallica man." The worker walks back over, pausing as he looks at the blonde teenager.
". . . scary teenager. We got that mirror glass all set for you. So, just come on up front and pay for it."
"Johnny." Daniel scoffed as Johnny comes out of hiding, pulling Laken with him.
"Whoa. LaRusso Auto?" The employee is shell shocked as he looks a the car salesman, moving his hands around as if he were breaking a board, "Chopping prices! Pshh! Pshh!" He laughs, "I love that commercial. I love karate too. I mean, I never got to do it. My mom wouldn't let me,
so. . . hey, you look just like him. Is this your son? What's going on? My name's Raymond."
"Yo!" Laken snaps her fingers, bringing Raymond's attention back to her, the man stepping back just a bit, "We didn't come here to hear about your childhood trauma. Get the freaking glass on the loading dock. I have things to do."
"Laken!" Robby scolds his best friend, trying his best not to laugh at the fact that she had managed to scare the worker by the looks of the tears in his eyes.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Thank you."
"What are you guys doing here?" Johnny asked.
"Just working on a little project. That's all." Daniel answered, "The two of you?"
"Same."
"Give me those." Daniel takes the supplies from Robby's hands, "I'll, uh. . . I'll go pay. Meet you by the car."
"Here." Johnny hands his wallet over to Laken, "Go pay."
"Hey, Mr. LaRusso!" Laken moves to catch up with the man, "What kind of project are you guys working on?"

๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ across her bed, laptop open in front of her as she went through all her social medias. A knock on the door makes her look up to find her brother leaning in the doorway. "What's up?"
"Mom and dad are going out with some friends from Dad's work. You wanna go out for dinner? Food's on me."
"I really want fried rice and an egg roll."
Silas laughs, gesturing for his little sister to stand up, "Fine. Chinese again, it is. You wanna invite Eli?"
"Yeah, I'll call him on the way."
