โ ๐‘ช๐‘จ๐‘ต ๐’€๐‘ถ๐‘ผ come open your front door? I'm on the porch. โž Demetri spoke into the phone that Laken had on speaker as she moved around her kitchen, already late for her karate lesson at the dojo.

But after the performance by her "friends", cousin and Johnny, she decided that she was just going to take her sweet, precious time, and she'd get there whenever she got there.

"Yeah, I'll be just a second." She tells him before hanging up the phone, and walking towards the front door, "What's up? what the hell happened to your nose?!" Laken pulls him into the house and closes the door behind her.

"Well, the Cobra Kai performance yesterday caught my attention and I went there to join, only to get beaten up by the old guy!" Demetri tells her, hissing as she brings a wet paper towel to his face to wipe away the dried blood.

"The old guys? Kreese did this to you?!" Laken looks at him in disbelief as he nods, "Metri, you don't need Cobra to learn how to do karate, okay? There are different places that you can go so that you don't get your ass kicked, or made fun of by the Sensei's."

"Where else am I supposed to go?" The boy asked, taking the dry paper towel from her hand to hold against his nose since it was still bleeding a little bit. "I wanna be able to fight like you, and Eli and Miguel."

"You don't - actually, I know where you can go." She looks at him, "But first we need to make a little pit stop on the way there. Let's get in the car."

"What? Hey, where are we even going?!"

โ ๐€๐‹๐‘๐ˆ๐†๐‡๐“, ๐‹๐ˆ๐’๐“๐„๐ up. I see we've got some new recruits and - where the hell is Laken? Any of you seen Laken? โž Johnny looks over at the usual three that the blonde was always seen with.

"No, Sensei, she hasn't shown up yet." Miguel shakes his head.

Kreese crosses her arms, "She's been late everyday since I've gotten here. You should've kicked her out by now."

"I'm not kicking her out. She's better than all these pussies." He shakes his head just as the bell above the door dings, the door flying open as Laken storms into the dojo.

"Laken, where the hell have you been?!" Johnny throws his arms out but the blonde girl ignores him as she storms up to Kreese, shoving him back, "Laken Reese!"

"Does it bring you enjoyment to beat up teenagers?! A grown ass man that can't seem to stay in the deepest pits of hell where he belongs?!" Laken's voice is harsh as Johnny moves quickly to pull her away from Kreese.

"Laken, calm down. What the hell are you talking about?" Johnny looks down at the short blonde, her eyes shining bright with a fire so bright that even he was a little scared of her.

"Demetri came by this morning to join Cobra Kai after watching you guys at Valley Fest. Kreese kicked his ass and he showed up to my house with a bloody nose. I've told you time and time again that he shouldn't even be here!" Laken spins around to look up at her dad's best friend.

"He's just here to try and help." Johnny tries to defend the older man, even though he really didn't want to.

"Trying to help?! Help by doing what?" She's taken back by his words, "Either you kick him out on his ass, or I leave! And if I leave, I don't plan on coming back."

Johnny swallows harshly at the blonde worlds, his blue eyes locked on her before he drags his eyes up to where Kreese was staring at him intensely, his head tilted to the side just a bit what that oh so familiar glare that always seemed to be present on his face.

Behind them, Miguel, Eli and Aisha share a wide eyed look as some of the others behind them quietly mumbled to each other, all of them filled with anticipation as to what Johnny's decision would be.

"Laken....," Johnny looks back down at the blonde that he had practically helped raise even though he was a shity father to his own kid, "I'm sorry.....but you are no longer welcome in this dojo."

Blinking back the tears filling in her eyes, she refuses to let even one drop as she looks up at Johnny in disbelief, everyone watching in so much shock they hadn't even seen the smirk that seemed to appear on Kreese's face.

"I guess that means you're no longer welcome in my life." She spins on the heels of her feet and walks towards the door, ignoring the pleading that came from Miguel to Johnny, telling him to apologize to the blonde and let her come back.

At the last second, Laken turns back around and locks eyes with Johnny, the next word leaving her mouth causing his heart to shatter into a million pieces.

"I really hate you."

โ ๐€๐‘๐„๐'๐“ ๐˜๐Ž๐” a little young to be drinking? โž A voice spoke up behind Laken as she downed another shot of tequila, spinning around to come face to face with a blonde standing behind her. "Oh, you're the girl that the blonde guy kicked out of his dojo."

"Let me guess, you joined Cobra Kai because you saw them at valley fest?" Laken leans her elbows against the bar as she raised an eyebrow.

"Something like that." The girl holds her hand out, "I'm Tory, with a 'y'."

Laken shakes her hand, "Laken, without a 'y'. So, what brings you to the beach club?"

"Aisha invited me. She didn't want to come alone. I was just trying to help her have a good time." Tory shrugged.

"I can help with that." Laken sends the blonde a smirk as she stands up from the seat and walks around the bar that had been left unattended and grabbed a full bottle of vodka.

"Uh, won't you get in trouble for that?" Tory asked as Laken hides the bottle in her beach bag moving back to the front like nothing happened."

She shrugged, "My mom's a lawyer and my dad is one of their biggest sponsors. I'd like to see them do something."

Tory laughs, letting the Callahan girl link her arm with hers, the two happily walking away.

โ ๐’๐Ž, ๐‘๐Ž๐๐๐˜ actually moved into our house. โž Sam says as she and Aisha sit down at a table with their plates of food.

"Your parents let that happen?" Aisha questions the girl in disbelief.

"Well, there's nothing going on. We're just friends." Sam tells her, "Besides, Laken's spent a lot of time over since he moved in. I'm pretty sure the two of them are....something. He's a lot happier when she's around."

"Uh-huh. We'll, I'm still not gonna tell Miguel."

"Hey." Tory giggles as she and Laken walk up to the table, "Look who I ran into. And look at what she brought."

Laken does a little dance as she shows Aisha the bottle of alcohol hidden away in her bag.

"Where did you get that?" Aisha questions.

"Little Miss sneaky swiped it from the bar." Tory laughed.

"They really shouldn't leave it unattended if they don't want teenagers taking from them."

"Oh, relax." Tory says as she notices the look shared between the two girls, "All the adults are getting wasted. No one's gonna notice if we have a little fun."

"You should put that back." Sam spoke up, "You'll get into big trouble."

Tory laughs, "And you are?"

"Oh, Sam, this is Tory." Aisha introduces the LaRusso girl to her new friend, "Tory, Sam."

"Oh, the Sam." Tory realizes that she was standing in front of the girl that Aisha had been telling her about. "Come on. Like anyone's gonna miss one bottle of vodka."

"Which they won't." Laken pulled her ringing phone out of her back pocket, rolling her eyes as she sees that it's Johnny calling her and ignoring the call.

"I could swipe half the silverware in this place before anyone would notice."

Sam looks at her in disbelief, "You shouldn't steal anything."

"What are you, a nun?" Tory asked before looking over at Aisha, "Come on, are we gonna drink or not?"

Aisha looks over at Sam before giving in to the pleading looks that Laken and Tory sent her way, "Okay, one drink."

"That's my girl."

"Sorry." Laken mouths as she follows after the two girls.

"Laken?"

"Mr. LaRusso, why are you down here?" The blonde questions the older male as she turns in his direction.

"I could ask you the same thing." Daniel's hands are in the pockets of his jeans.

She shrugs, looking off into the water, "The beach helps clear my head. My dad used to bring me down here whenever I had a lot on my mind. I used to sit here for hours."

"What are you thinking about this time? You don't have to tell me." He shakes his head after he notices the hesitation on her face.

"I am officially banned from the Cobra Kai dojo." Laken tells him, the wind blowing her hair in different directions. "I told Johnny that he either had to pick Kreese or loosing me as a student, and he banned me."

"I'm sorry." Daniel frowns, never having a thought that Johnny would ever do something like that to the daughter of his longest friend.

"No, it's fine." Laken tells him, "It just gives me more time to hangout with Silas this summer before he has to go back to Florida. Hey, isn't that Robby?"

"Where? What are - how good are you at landing on your feet?" Daniel asked.

"I took gymnastics for a couple of years, I'd say I'm pretty good at it."

"Good."

๐“๐‡๐„ ๐๐€๐‚๐Š of Robby's head throbs after being hit with a wooden boat paddle on the back of the head, his hand resting there before he was yanked up by the older guy, the man's arm going around his chest to keep him from being able to more.

"You know, for a smart kid, you sure do learn slow." Trey tells his old friend.

"Maybe we need to leave him with something to remember us bye." Cruz says, opening up a switch blade.

Robby grunts as he tries to get out of the guys hold just as two figures drop from the pier above them, his eyes growing wide as Laken looks up, "Laken!"

"Let him go!"

"Awe, Robby, your little girlfriend is coming to your rescue." Trey pouts before the smile on his face drops. "Guess we'll just have to take her out with us."

"Let him go and don't even think about touching her." Daniel tells the two teenagers.

"Don't listen to him." Trey doesn't take his eyes off of Daniel, "Alright, Grandpa. Let's do it."

Trey swings at Daniel, who is quick to dodge him and throw his leg out. Cruz runs at Laken but the blonde is quicker than he is as she takes him by the arm and harshly throws him into the leg of the pier.

Grabbing Cruz by both of his arms, Laken swings him in Trey's direction as Daniel pushes the teen into him and they both fall to the ground. Daniel turns to the bigger guy, an adult that was hanging out with two teenagers as Laken rushed to Robby.

"Are you okay?!" She drops to her knees, moving her hand up to the spot that Robby was holding, "Are you bleeding? Stitches? An ambulance?"

"Lake, I'm okay." He groaned, grabbing her hand from his head, "Help me up."

"Are you sure that you're okay? Robby, if I
need-,"

Robby chuckles, "You worry too much. Help me get up."

"Your grandpa know how to move like that?" Daniel asked the teens as he turned to the two teenagers who had gotten up from the sandy floor. "Come on, let's go."

โ ๐€๐‘๐„ ๐˜๐Ž๐” that this is a good idea? โž Demetri looks off at the LaRusso house as Laken parked her car, "Because I don't think this is a good idea."

Laken giggled, "Metri, this is exactly the place that you need to be. Karate is supposed to be fun and this place is....everything that Cobra Kai is not. So, you are going to get out of my car, you're going to walk your twig-like body around and you are going to ask Daniel if you can join his class. Besides, I believe that you can do this."

He nods, "You're right. I can do this." Demetri moves to open the door but pauses before he pulls the handle, "Will you walk me inside?"

"Yeah, I'll walk you inside." She laughs before the two of them get out of the car.

"-it's time we be patient. Let those who need us find us."

"Excuse me." Demetri cuts through the conversations, causing the three to look their direction. The boy shifts uncomfortably under their gazes, "Uh, it was unclear if the gate was the front door or if I was supposed to ring the doorbell. Is that a Koi pond? How much does it cost to maintain?"

"Demetri, you can't just ask that." Laken gently hits him in the side. "I'm so sorry about him. Sometimes he doesn't have a filter and it's hard to keep him on his leash."

Robby looks down to hide his smile at the blonde's joke before he looks back up.

"May I help you?" Daniel questions, glancing over at the blonde standing next to him.

"Demetri." Laken hisses through her teeth, pushing him forwards a little bit.

"Don't shove me!" He sends an awkward smile to the older male, "Yeah. I wanna learn karate."

"And I was kind of hoping, you had room for one more." Laken lets out a giggle at the excitement on Daniel's face before a scream leaves her lips as Robby runs in her direction, throwing the blonde over his shoulder and rushing them towards the Koi pond.

"No, no, no! Robby, don't you dare!"

Daniel, Sam and Demetri watch in amusement as the Keene boy launches her into the Koi pond before following her in.

I'm not really sure how deep a Koi pond is but according to google, it should be like 4 to 6 feet deep and if that isn't accurate to throw yourself in it like a swimming pool, it is now!
