DEAR JACK,
Pleasing those I love had came with a cost.
Remember, that this came with the pain and loss.
Only now, the loss is mine,
Unfortunately, she caused me to cross a line.
Death awaits as it calls us back.

BOBBY SINGER WAS NOT EAGER TO ALLOW JACK MUCH MORE TIME AT CAMP. Discussing it with Mary, he had made it clear that having Rose around was an issue for those at camp, but if they had discovered what Jack truly was, it was destined for the people to live in more fear than they already do. It had been a lot for Mary to consider. The camp had been a safe zone for them to hide out, but if it had kept many more people safe to leave, she felt that was the right thing to do.

While making her way around camp to search for the two, she had stumbled across Constance. Trying her best to seem unannoyed with her presence, Mary faked a smile as she buried her hands in her pockets. "Anything I can do for you, Constance?"

A laugh had escaped from her lips as she glanced rather quickly around the camp. "I've been searching all morning... Rose, she didn't leave did she?"

"She's been off with Jack. I'm sure they're just getting a feel for the place." Mary had swallowed hard as she contemplated her next few thoughts. Constance had been a mother just as she had, but she had felt that it was all too strange for her to try and connect with Rose. "Are you sure this thing with Rose... that it's the best for her?"

Unable to consider why Mary would wonder such a thing, she had shook her head in confusion. "She needs a mother."

Giving a small shrug, Mary had found herself smiling. "She has me. And her grandmother, Rowena, she was like a mother to her."

A fire had sparked in Constance's eyes as she stood taller. "I am her blood. You and that whore of a grandmother don't deserve her. She needs someone right for her."

Mary had taken a step back in surprise. The conversation had not turned for the best and now she had understood why Bobby had felt quite uneasy around the woman. Attempting a smile, Mary had given a quick and meaningless apology as she backed away. Still, Constance had her eyes locked in on her as Mary had headed down a different path to find Rose first.

There was an obvious knot in Mary's stomach as she had searched for the two she arrived with. Constance's anger towards her had felt as a sign that the three should leave sooner than she had thought.

The moment she had spotted the two under a tent together, they had seen her just as well. They were quick to get on their feet as Mary made her way down the small hill to meet up. When they had stood before her, she had seen the grins and upbeat attitude that neither had seemed to have before. "You two really like it here."

"I'm trying to get used to it now," Rose whispered, sneaking a glance towards Jack. He had enjoyed his time here and that was enough to make her want to stay as well.

"These people... Everybody's so brave," Jack stated. Just from a quick look around, what he had said was obvious. The people that lived in this camp were fighting daily for their lives and that had shown.

Mary looked down towards the ground beneath her feet. "But we can't stay."

Unable to understand, Jack furrowed his brows together in confusion. "Why not?" Seeing Mary's disinterest to tell the truth, he had felt the answer in the pit of his stomach. "Because of us?"

"I'm sorry. It's not fair." Reaching out, Mary had went to grab for Rose's hand to explain her suspicions of her mother. Then a siren had wailed and her hand had been pulled down to her side. Orders had been yelled out from the soldiers that had been scattered across camp. There was an attack incoming and it was bound to take as many lives as it could.

Coming over the treeline, a firey ball had came hurtling in the directio of the camp, hitting right into the ground beside Jack, Mary and Rose. The impact had blown them off their feet, sending them into a pile of one another. Before them, the mass that had hit the Earth stood a man that was only and angel that had worked closely with Michael.

Mary had been the first one to get to her feet, nearly pulling the two onto theirs and gave them a push forward. All ready breathing heavily, the three had made quick work on their feet to get to safety before another angel had landed.

On a stretch of a trail, Bobby and Constance had stood as if waiting for them. There was an empty anger before his face as the three had approached. His eyes had stayed on Jack, as Constance had been plainly contempt as she shifted her eyes between Mary and Rose.

"You. This is your fault," Bobby grumbled. "He used his powers. Must've been how they found us."

"I didn't... I didn't mean to," Jack said regretfully.

Moving Jack beside her, Mary had taken Bobby's rage away for a brief moment. "What can we do to help?"

Yanking out a gun, he extended it her way, "There's a grain cellar, escape tunnels running underneath. Roundup any kids you can find, get 'em safe."

Both Rose and Jack had been there for support towards Mary and offered their help but Bobby had other plans. "You've done enough."

"The angels, we can't let them find you. Find some place and hide. Rose, you have a choice here." Mary had kept her attention on Rose as she awaited an answer. There was only the option to run or help.

"You should go with. Help," Jack stated. He had been upset that he was shunned from the mission but knowing that Bobby had Mary and Rose to help fix his mistake felt relieving. Rose had been hesitant as she took a step towards Mary.

Mary had grabbed onto Rose to bring her along with Bobby but a tug had brought her to a stop. Mary had been ready to tell Rose they had to go now when she had noticed that Rose's other arm had been pulled in another direction. "She stay's with her mother," Constance stated, pulling Rose harder towards her. Mary's grip on Rose's arm had loosened from the tug, but that had not stopped her from managing to grab onto Rose's hand to hold on tighter.

A strike of worry had flashed through Rose's face as she whipped her head in Mary's direction. The few times people had fought over her had usually been Sam and Dean wanting Rose to choose one of them to say who would be choosing what they would have for dinner. Right now, she had wished the fight had been as simple as that. But Mary had felt Rose's hand squeeze onto her, knowing that she had made her choice to stick with Mary.

Constance hadn't allowed for that to happen as she had pulled Rose's grip from Mary's and dragged her after Jack deep into the forest. Startled, Mary had stood there for a moment, calling out her name. Only Bobby couldn't waste much more time and pulled Mary in the opposite direction.

In the woods, Jack had led the charge to sprint through the forest with Constance dragging along Rose behind. The trees had seemed to blur together as they had managed to get as far as they could from the attack. Jack had sworn he could've ran forever but it was clear that Constance had been the slowest of them all.

Pausing, he leaned against the tree as the two had came up in a slow jog. The moment that they had stopped before him, he had pushed himself up off the tree and rushed to Rose's side while she was stuck breathing heavily. Yanking her hand free from Constance's, she had thrown her arms around Jack, just glad he had been there with her.

Peering through the trees, Constance had seemed as if she had been looking for someone but soon directed her attention back towards the two. "Just a little further."

"We should be helping," Jack insisted. "We can't run like this. People will die."

"So?" Constance questioned, taking the other two by surprise. Rushing to Rose, she had pulled her away from Jack and held her face in her hands. "These angels will hurt you."

"They'll hurt Jack," she clarified. "Michael doesn't care about me. I'll be okay." Trying to turn back to Jack, Constance had only pulled her right back towards her.

Constance's eyes had traveled all over Rose's face as her breathing began to pick up. Many things had raced through her mind as she contemplated her plans. "You want to save these people?"

Rose glanced over her shoulder towards Jack who had been completely lost. Slowly turning back, she had given a nod that was hesitant, but meaningful enough.

"There's a power within you," Constance breathed out. Dropping her strong grip on Rose's arms, she had dug into her jacket before pulling out a blade, gently holding it in the palms of her hands before Rose. "You have to let it out and you can kill them."

Rose was stunned as she swallowed hard. "You want me to kill myself?" she whispered.

Constance had responded with a nod as she pushed the blade closer to Rose. "Fergus would want this for you."

The mention of Crowley had Rose step back with a frown. "He-- he wouldn't..."

As her voice had trailed off, Constance had held the knife back down to her side. "Mary told me your Fergus, he sacrificed himself to save you from..." Constance had looked in pain as she shut her eyes. "From Lucifer. You should do this for them. These people. For me." Reaching out, she cupped Rose's face as a tear had slid down her cheek to prove how much this had meant. "I'll always be your mother. I'm so proud of you."

"Rose," Jack interrupted, stepping up to the two. "Don't do this."

Conflicted, she had looked back and forth between the two. All she had ever wanted was for her mother to love her and this was not the same woman, but it felt so real. Disappointing Jack felt as if she would be disappointing everyone she saw as family now.

"I can't do it," she whispered. "I promised."

"Then let me," Constance offered, gripping the blade tighter in her hands. "I can do it for you."

"No," Jack argued but Constance had given him a look that even made his insides curl up in fear. Before Jack could find his courage to speak up once again, Constance had held out her hands, slowly pulling in Rose towards her as she adjusted the blade so carefully between the two. "It'll be okay," she whispered as she smoothed down her hair. "Fergus is so proud of you."

Hearing the approval of her mother, and her father, Rose felt that it was right. But she never had the option the moment that Constance had her in her arms. Not giving Rose a chance to back out, she had dug the blade deep into Rose, sighing in relief as she felt her daughter breathe out in pain.

Constance had laid her head on Rose's shoulder a she had felt the weight of Rose fall into her and she smiled. A smile that Jack hadn't been able to see as he had been too busy to grab Rose by her waist and held her up.

As Jack had laid down Rose against the cold dirt, he pushed her hair back, whispering and begging her to wake up. Still standing, Constance had been breathing heavily, watching her hands that were caked in blood, she dropped the blade. Wherever he had been, she had thanked Lucifer for bringing back such a weapon her way.
