DEAR JACK,
I'm glad I have you in my life to keep me company.
No one else can make me smile like you do.

EVEN THOUGH SAM AND DEAN HAVE BEEN GONE ON THEIR OWN CASE, ROSE FELT AS IF SHE HAD NEVER STOPPED SMILING. Time in the bunker with Jack had been the best she's ever had. There was never a moment that they had to keep quiet as they talked since there was never an ear pressed to a door. There was no need to be cautious with staying alone with Jack in her room.
Often the two had spent every moment together as they had grown closer. Jack had plenty of questions that came to him that she had now been happy to answer. Sometimes, she had asked him her own questions, which only made him feel better since he had felt like he would grow annoying.
There was something about one another that both could not get enough of. Jack had been careful not to look at Rose too much in fear of scaring her off. But he couldn't help but smile when she would wear his clothes when she didn't want to find her own. He enjoyed putting back on his sweatshirts to find that they had smelled just as she did.
And of course, Rose would never admit it either, but she enjoyed the smell of coffee that Jack had left on his clothes she'd wear. Often it would bring a smile to her face to recall the plenty of times he had attempted to make them each a cup, only to spill it while carrying it back to her room. Even her blankets and pillows had begun to smell of him as they had spent all their nights together with the Winchester brothers away. She could feel herself often glancing Jack's way when they'd watch movies, and when she'd look away, he'd find himself just missing it, but shifting his eyes her way as well.
The only issue was that Jack had often forgot to clean up his clothes when she'd give them back to him. Picking up one of his sweatshirts, she called for him to learn to clean up before he leaves the room as she took it for herself. As long as he was leaving it behind, she was claiming it as her own.
Coming out of her room, she had just begun to throw the sweatshirt on when she ran right into someone. Expecting to see Jack, she yanked the sweatshirt down with a bright smile until she noticed that the person before her was much taller. Taking in Sam's appearance, it had hit her that he was back from his case with Dean. "Hey, how'd everything go?"
"Good," he said rather awkwardly. What had caught him off guard was Rose standing before him in Jack's sweatshirt, already wincing at the coming comments from Dean. "Uh, so, you're wearing Jack's clothes now?"
Already hearing every word, Dean had same walking up with a sour expression. "That's what I'd like to know."
Dragging out a long sigh, Rose wished that they had maybe given her a warning before coming home. That way, she could create a more distant relationship with Jack that Dean would only slightly approve of, and not be caught wearing something of his. "Nothing's going on, guys." But her statement hadn't convinced Dean enough to drop it.
Pointing a finger at Sam, Deans frowned deepened, "I told you— cameras. All over the house."
Ignoring his comment, Rose turned to Sam. "Does Jack know you guys are back already? We thought you'd be gone at least one more day."
Taking in a long breath of air, Sam barely looked to Dean before answering Rose. "Yeah, but listen, we need to have a talk."
Unaware to the biggest surprise they had waiting, Rose scoffed in response. "I'm serious that nothings going on between us. I swear, all we did was share a room."
A look had appeared on Dean's face that Sam could swear was never going to go away. Shock was the initial reaction, but once he had processed, it had turned into disbelief and fear. "They... they shared a room," he stuttered out in a hushed voice.
Attempting to collect himself, and erase the scarring thoughts that came to him, Dean forced himself to close his eyes and breathe before he looked back to Rose. "We weren't talking about that. Someone's here and they can't wait to see you for some reason."
What the boys had expected was for Rose to head down the hall and find out herself. Maybe even make a guess as to who could be here and want to see her. Instead, curiosity had gotten to her. "Are they cute?"
This questioned had caused all three to look to one another in a brief silence. Sam was left unsure what to say while she watched each of them for an answer. Dean, on the other hand, had the same facial expression that he had when he had heard of her sharing a room with Jack. He was living a big brother nightmare. "Are they... are they cute?" he questioned back as he looked to his brother for some extra help. "You know what, yeah, they're cute. Will you just come see for yourself?" Grabbing her, he pushed her ahead of the two, hoping that if they had gotten a move on, he could forget every part of the conversation they had just had. "You ever ask if a boy's cute, have a boy in your bed, wear a boys clothes, you're done. Jody's got an extra room and you'll fill it."
A silence had formed between the three as the approached the library. Rose didn't find it in her to battle with Dean that she had no feelings for Jack and that living with Jody was not in her future. One of those was a lie, and Dean had seen right through it.
With a small shove, he made her head in first to the library while the two brothers had hung back, wanting to see the reaction for themselves. It was exactly what they could hope for.
Confusion had first swept over Rose as she took in the angel before her. Even that confusion didn't allow her to hestitate as she made her way towards Castiel. "Is is really you?"
"Yes, it's really me. I'm back."
The moment that Rose had stood before Cas, there had been no need to hold back. It didn't matter who she had prayed to, or what she had thought would happen— he was here standing before them all. It was enough to give Sam and Dean hope, that it had given her what she needed.
She wrapped her arms tightly around Cas, not allowing this moment to escape so suddenly. Every bad memory from that night had felt so distant with one back. And it had been the one that would give all of them the push to keep moving forward. Castiel was the glue that often held them all together.
"How are you here?"
Taking a step back, a look washed over Castiels face that expressed deep frustration. "I annoyed a cosmic being so much he tossed me out of the Empty."
Rose looked to Cas in silence, a blank expression that wasn't sure how to react. It had sounded like Castiel to annoy a cosmic being, but for it to give in so quickly had struck her as strange. Then a grin had cracked across her face, "You are so cool."
A flustered smile had came to his face that would've caused him to blush if he could. Bowing his head, he attempted to gather himself together as Rose had made her way back over to Jack. And the moment his head had lifted, it had not gone unnoticed the glare that had set on the back of Jack's head from Dean Winchester.
Breaking the silence, Sam clapped his hands together, "So, hows that for a cute boy, Rose?"
Ears perking up, Jack glanced around, "Cute boy?
"Not you," Dean grumbled. "And we're going to Dodge City. No new romance is ruining my mood. You know why? Because there is none."
Leaning towards him, Sam fought back his grin, "You're the only one saying it's a romance."
Striking his finger up, Dean sent his brother a dangerous glare. "Shut it."
Lost in confusion after the time he missed, Castiel was growing frustrated. "Romance? Did I miss something here?"
"No!" Dean yelled. Unable to stick around for such a conversation, he made his way towards the exit. "Can we stop talking about this? Everyone go pack, we're leaving in five!" Making sure to warn Jack with a single glance, he disappeared out of the room.
Shaking her head from Dean, Rose turned over to Jack. "Let's go. Most of your stuff is in my room anyways." There was no debate for Jack to decide what to do. Standing up, both had walked off with one another, their arms brushing against each other's as Jack had filled her in about the newest case.
Listening to every word, Dean made sure he had eyes everywhere at all times. "Cas, go with them! Make sure there's no funny business!"
"When is business ever funny?" Cas questioned to himself, walking off after the two in confusion.
