╭─────────────────── ( 🦆 )

Felix spends the entire Saturday cursing Chris, himself, and his life decisions.

Chris is really bringing out the worst in him.

And it's not even fucking working.

He was surprised at first, but in the end, Chris just left the younger on read, not even bothering to respond.

Time to analyze the situation.

It might not seem like it right now, but three weeks isn't a long time.

He's confident this is a lost cause, and it's safe to say he's losing.

But it's the opposite.

Because there was a split second, or seconds, over the past two days where Chris was a tiny nudge away from forfeiting and falling at the feet of Felix's mercy.

Ladies, gentlemen, hoomans, aliens, and giraffes (Sun I apologize for not including you previously).

Can you guess what these instances are?

Yes, you get money.

Yes, it's a million dollars.

Instance one would be Felix yelling "Onii-Chan" at the top of his lungs in the elder's presence, essentially tarnishing half of Chris's self-esteem.

Instance two.

Does it really need to be said?

Chris is positive he's going to have nightmares about CD's for at least another two years.

"The fuck is that sound?" Minho asks.

"Your mom."

"You're not funny."

"I am. Felix, tell him."

"You're not."

Minho laughs and points a taunting finger at Jisung, who slaps it away.

Going to Felix's place right after school is part of Jisung's normal routine, but this time Minho tagged along.

If the boys listen closely, they can hear inconsistent thuds as well as objects shifting around on the other side of the wall.

Adjacent apartments are a curse.

Felix is suddenly surprised, eyes glossing over in realization as he remembers the moving truck outside.

"I think he's moving."

"Is that good or bad?" Jisung asks, trying to read his friend's expression.

... Oh boy.

Seokjin.

Felix's neighbor.

He had introduced himself to the younger as Jin the day he moved in. He was pleasant and polite, so what could go wrong, right?

Everything.

Everything went wrong.

He was nosy, messy, and extremely loud.

Not to mention his drinking habits.

Based on what Felix has heard though the thin wall he and the elder share, Jin only drinks at one in the morning.

And he's even more loud during these periods of time, if that's even physically possible.

The most mortifying memory Felix had of him was when he had needed water in the middle of the night, so upon hearing muffled noises after exiting the kitchen, he pressed his ear to the wall.

The elder's TV was blaring with a baby diaper commercial.

And to make matters worse, Felix could clearly make out an extremely drunk Jin, who was full-on sobbing over the "squishy bottoms" and the "squishy wishy baby bottoms scooching everywhere" displayed on the screen.

Felix shudders and clears his throat.

"Good. Definitely good."
