Chapter 13
We all walked out of the bathroom, seeing the males already waiting for us so they could head out. My eyes widened when I noticed Chris holding the table's check.
"Wait a minute," I said towards him, quickly taking the check away from him. "You didn't pay for us, did you?"
"I did," He nodded, taking the check back. "We all paid for your food if that helps," he said towards all of us. I turned around to face the girls, seeing them all smiling and thanking them. "I mean...yeah, thank you. A lot. But there was no need for you to do so."
"Girl, just shut up and go out," Amy whispered to me when she got close enough, putting her arm around my shoulder, making me walk out. "Be glad boys are paying for your food."
"Not boys. Chris!" I said to her as if it made any difference.
"I bet Hyunjin paid for your food," she rolled her eyes.
"Another bet?" Riley smirked to which Laska shook her head, still laughing though.
"Sure," Amy laughed too, letting go of me, turning around to face the guys as they were walking behind us. "Hyunjin!" She called, making him look at her. "Did you pay for Izzy's food?" He nodded to her and she smirked immediately. "As in only you? Not all of you guys?"
"Yeah, does it matter?" He asked her back to which she shook her head, turning back around.
"Pay up," She grinned. Riley sighed, taking out her wallet, giving her the money for her tomorrow's coffee.
"God, Laska, you have to pay for my coffee tomorrow. I don't have money anymore." She said, putting her wallet back in her pocket.
"Ain't no way," Amy said with an opened mouth, looking directly at me, making the other two girls stop. "She is blushing!" She screamed and I was sure Chris and others heard it too.
"Shut up!" I told her right away, walking faster than before. "You're a freaking idiot, Am!" All three of them laughed at me, stopping me from walking on the road as I was trying to get as far away as possible.
"Izzy, are you good?" Chris asked when he coughed up on us. "He probably didn't hear her, don't worry."
"If you heard her he did too!" I said looking at him, seeing Hyunjin standing right behind him. Of course he heard this too. I sighed. "You know what? Whatever. I am going home." I said, looking at Amy.
"Wait, Izzy," Hyunjin spoke up, making Amy stop. She was about to start walking towards our apartment with me, but when she saw him, she just stopped, pretending as if she hadn't heard me. "I'll walk with you,"
"Oh, um, actually I am going with Amy so," I started but got cut out by Amy.
"Oh, no, no, it's fine. You should go with her, Hyunjin. It's getting dark and I still need to do some things."
Hyunjin nodded, smiling at me. I gulped, looking at the other two girls for some help but they wanted me to go with him too. I knew Riley wanted to win the bet, but apparently she was cheering for me and Hyunjin as much as Amy was.
"Fine," I sighed, looking up at him, knowing this will most definitely not end up well.
Everyone started leaving and I noticed Amy walking away with Laska and Riley. I sighed again. I wanted to go with them too. Once my sight landed on the tall male besides me, all of the thoughts I had about them disappeared.
"Sorry," he said, breaking the silence between us. I looked up at him to see his eyes, still walking. "I didn't think paying for your food would be a big deal." He explained and I could feel my cheeks turning red again.
"It's...It's okay," I mumbled, looking at the ground to avoid his eye contact. "I am thankful to you for it. And many other things too."
"I already told you, you don't have to thank me for the MV. I am glad I am doing it for you obviously, but I am also doing it for myself."
"No, not that," I shook my head, looking at him again. When I saw him looking into my eyes, not even hiding he was interested in what I wanted to say, my cheeks got even redder. Oh god. "Well, uhm, a lot of people probably already told you this, but you were here for me. Not physically, you had no idea who I was obviously, but being able to listen to your music...it was enough for me to find a reason to continue."
His eyes widened when he heard me and he ended up smiling soon after. A warm and genuine smile. "You are blushing," was all he said.
Three simple words that made me fall for him. It wasn't I love you, but something better. Probably not in many opinions, but definitely in mine.
"Shut up," I muttered, a smile on my face.
"Never," he laughed, nudging my shoulder with his.
We stopped in front of my apartment, standing at the same place he dropped me off last time. I bit my lip, looking up on the stars. I glanced at him, seeing him already looking at me.
"The stars look pretty today," I said.
"Yeah," he muttered back, still looking at me. He didn't even glance at the sky full of stars in order to answer.
"Hey," I started.
"Hey," he said back, making my heart skip a beat. This was a little too much for me.
"Wanna come in?"
