Chapter 10
"Get up! You're late!" Amy yelled at me, standing in my door. "Oh my god, are you seriously sleeping?" I opened my eyes, trying to understand this whole thing.
"Why on earth are you yelling?" I asked, sitting up.
"Apparently you had a little too good a good-night-sleep," she commented, crossing her arms over her chest. "It's Thursday," she explained and my eyes widened in realization. I quickly reached for my phone checking the time.
"I can still make it if you take me?" I asked, already running to my closet.
"Sure, just hurry up," She sighed, leaving my room.
"Oh god what am I supposed to wear?" I asked myself, trying to find something in the hurry. "Okay, calm down, you have time." I told myself, even though I knew it wasn't true. I sighed, going through my shirts. At the end I ended up putting on a short, but comfortable black dress, quickly putting on my glasses as there wasn't enough time for contacts.
I rushed to the bathroom, doing my normal hour long routine in fifteen minutes and walked to Amy, almost out of breath.
"Okay, you need to chill out," she chuckled. "And use this," She said, throwing a deodorant at me.
"Thanks," I laughed, taking a deep breath to calm myself. "Okay, I am ready." I nodded and Amy smiled, walking out of our apartment with me.
It took us another 15 minutes to get to the studio.
"I am sorry I am late," I apologized, I leaned forward, my head down.
"It's okay," Some guy, probably the director, laughed it off, telling me to join Hyunjin in the dressing room.
"Hey," I said when I walked in. He was sitting on one of the chairs, looking at his phone. He turned around, greeting me back.
"Do you have the notes for me?" He asked with a smile as I sat next to him.
"Yes! I didn't forget that one," I laughed quietly, taking out the papers from my purse. "Here you go," I said, handing it to him. "If you don't like anything just tell me, I can still work on it." I told him as he read through.
"No, it's great. Did the director tell you his plans with it already?"
"Not yet, I just got here. I gotta get dressed for it first," I sighed, taking down my glasses.
"Right, your stuff should be there." He said, pointing at the door on my right. I nodded, getting up
"Okay, I am ready." I said, walking out, picking up my glasses from the table so I could see.
"Are you?"
"I...I am. Right?" I asked, looking at myself in a mirror to figure out what he meant by that.
"Yea, I am just asking," Hyunjin chuckled, leaving the room with me. And the chaos could begin.
"What do I do?" I whispered towards Hyunjin, still standing in front of the door.
"Come with me," He answered, with a smile on his face. Well, I am glad you're having fun over me not knowing a shit. He dragged me to the director, talking with him about his plans and other stuff, while I was in a completely different place, just looking around. I noticed Amy, smiling at me from the other side of the room and I smiled back, mounting the world's help, which made her laugh.
"Go to our camera team for now, they'll tell you where to stand and what to do. Just practice the lyrics, okay?" We both nodded and I looked at Hyunjin again, waiting for him to take me to our destination.
And he did. We managed to bump into one of them and I apologized right away, realizing how small the world actually is when I saw Riley standing in front of me. What are the chances she is the person I bump into?
"Isabel? What are you doing here?"
"Riley? Oh god, are you one of our cameramen? I really didn't think I'd see you again here." I said, while she nodded in response.
"I didn't think I'd see you here either." She commented, making me chuckle.
"Well, I am glad it's you. I heard you're really good." I said with a genuine smile, showing her I mean what I just said.
"Thank you," she laughed. "You two can go on the set now, we still have to prepare the cameras," Hyunjin started walking the way she pointed, while I stayed behind a little longer, making Riley stay for a moment longer.
"Hey, I am sorry about Friday," I apologized, making her shake her head. "It probably seems like I am collecting them like pokemons now, but I swear Chris wanted to stay with you there. He reached out to you, right?"
"Izzy, chill," Riley chuckled. "I was really about to leave. And...he texted me and explained. I should be thanking you in the first place for bringing them there. Now, go enjoy your company." She chuckled, winking at me as she walked away, sending me to Hyunjin.
