episode four: suspicion bear

❝eunhee has been out a lot recently, you don't think..?❞

soona decided to come over the next day after eunhee's date happened. it was still early in the morning but she couldn't wait for the gossips she and eunhee would have. namjoon was the one who answered the door for her and welcomed her in. she tip-toed up the stairs to make sure she didn't wake anyone up and opened the door to eunhee's room who laid under her bed sheets fast asleep. soona skipped over to her bed and plopped herself on it immediately waking eunhee up.

"soona?" eunhee said in a groggy voice, her eyes were still closed but she peeped through an eye. ".. –how did you get into my house?"

   soona already hopped of the bed when she snooped around eunhee's drawers, she looked for her makeup to touch her face up. "oh. my love opened the door for me." she swooned over love and looked into space with a smile.

"oh god, are you talking about namjoon?" eunhee groaned as she arose from her bedsheets and onto the floor. she walked over to her wardrobe to pick something decent to wear but soona beat her to it.

"let me do that, eun!" she raced to her wardrobe and scattered clothes on her bed. eunhee was too tired to scold her for making such a mess. "so.. how did it go?" soona asked as she looked over to her.

"it was alright, i guess." eunhee shrugged, unsure whether she really liked the date with sungyeol or not. "my brothers found out about it though and it was chaotic when i got home. but.."

"but what?" soona raised her eyebrows as she walked over to eunhee. she handed her a yellow turtleneck sweater along with a denim overall dress. "this is what you're gonna wear for the day, by the way– hey, that rhymes!"

"dear lord." euhee took her clothes and rolled her eyes but smiled. "but, my eldest brother, seokjin allowed me to do something."

soona froze as she tried to calculate scenarios in her mind. "did he finally allow her to let me seduce namjoon oppa?" her eyes went wide as she covered her mouth, shocked from her thoughts.

  "he's letting me go on dates!" she squealed as soona still stood frozen.

  "ah!" eunhee screamed.

  "oh my gawd!" soona dragged the gawd part, she was still shook by her thoughts. "oh my god!" she said again when realizing what her best friend just told her.

  at that moment, jimin barged into the room with an uneasy smile. he had heard screams from his room next door and checked up on if his sister needed anything. "should i ask what's going on here?" then came the awkward silence.

  soona and eunhee darted their attention to jimin who was standing at the door. soona eyed jimin from head to toe making him flustered. the last resort jimin could do was flirt with her to avoid the awkwardness, "hey soona~" he smiled and winked at her.

  soona made a grossed out face and grabbed a pillow to throw at the him, "ew, go away pervert. i'm in love with your brother, not you." soona tossed the pillow across the room until it hit jimin in the face, making him stumble to the floor. eunhee laughed at the two.

  moments later, jimin decided to leave them alone and close the door. right after he left eunhee heard a notification from her phone. she reached for her phone as soona looked at it carefully.

  "who is this?" eunhee asked as she saw that she got a text from an unknown contact.

SUNGYEOL:
your friend wrote your number down on the receipt from yesterday

soona read the messages while she looked behind eunhee's back. eunhee turned her back to give her a face, soona just shyly smiled and tried to shrug it off.

"you should go!" she encouraged her, "especially now that one of your brothers, in fact the eldest and biological one approves!"

eunhee thought about it, "she does have a point."

weeks had past and eunhee had become more socially active. she'd been going out of the house more to go on dates with sungyeol, sometimes even sneaking at night. they've had this schedule to have dates at least twice a week, and the kim brothers have been getting more and more suspicious, especially jimin. he even followed eunhee outside one day to see where she would go, he ended up following her the mall inside a bra and underwear store instead.

a few days after his embarrassing event, he decided to confront eunhee about the situation, so he came into her room. unfortunately, eunhee was too busy taking a shower so jimin just sat on her bed until he heard a buzz near by. it came from eunhee's phone that laid on her bed beside jimin. he picked it up and unlocked the phone, he learned everyone's passcode, to read who the text was from.

jimin looked up to check if eunhee had come out of the shower, she didn't yet, so he typed a response to his sister's mysterious lover quickly.

EUNHEE:

  jimin was surprised at how calm the dude took his diss but still, he took a screenshot of the current messages to send to himself on eunhee's phone.

  he hurried to take his phone out and save the picture. after he did, he went to the conversations with sungy and mochi-chim and deleted any evidence that someone was on her phone.

  later, he goes up to seokjin's room to confront him about what he heard back in eunhee's room.

  "–seokjin allowed me to do something."

  "he's letting me go on dates!"

  he pushed past his door to see his hyung watching cooking tutorials on his rose gold macbook. "hyung, i need to talk to you."

  "isn't that what you're doing right now?" seokjin sassed, he wanted to watch his tutorials in peace.

"eunhee has been out a lot recently, you don't think..?" jimin sighed and looked at his elder brother sternly, "why did you let eunhee go? you could have at least told us about your decision? we're her brothers too, biological or not!" he puffed his cheeks and crossed his arms.

  ".. i know that all of you are also her brothers, but– do you even know if she's into someone at the moment?" seokjin asked, trying to ease his mood.

  he then pulled out his phone to show the proof about eunhee's lover. "i asked yoongi hyung if he knew anyone named sungyeol, and he responded saying he's a player!" he shoved the phone into his brother's face, "a straight up player! you want our sister to date a player and get hurt?"

  both brothers continued arguing over the situation until seokjin gave in and they went to go check up on their sister. but when they walked into her room, she was nowhere to be found.

   "oh no." seokjin groaned when seeing eunhee's bedroom not occupied. "where could that little girl have gone?"

  jimin looked back at his phone and scrolled through his messages, "i think i know where she is." he breathed,

  "hyung, can you ask namjoon hyung to call soona."
