     RIVER WILKINS didn't even expect to make it past thirteen, with the shitshow she calls her life. an alcoholic pogue she calls a father, a mother who spends more time in a fucking whorehouse than with her own family.. and then going to juvie for something she didn't even do. i mean.. the literal only reason she went out of that stupid kook party when she was fourteen was because some guy she never knew the name of took advantage of her in the fucking bathtub. that same night, four innocent people got drugged and died, moments after river had left that party. and because of the prejudice in kildare.. she was sent to juvenile detention without another word, the only people knowing where she went being her friends.

years later, age sixteen... she finally gets out. she gets out when they find the real killer. and the first thing she sees when she gets home? the annual bonfire party in full swing, with her friend group goofing off in the crowd.
