↬ AFTER DINNER FINISHED, each family gathered around again in the family room, chatting and laughing about whatever the conversation was about. you sat down beside of ymir, who was currently playing with your other younger cousin's hair and clipping in cute pins that they brought.

everyone was there, would this be a good time to say something?

just as you were about to open your mouth to say something, your other little cousin ran up to you with a box of their own cute hairpins. she had a smile on her face as she was rushing towards you and you looked at her.

"(y/n)!! can you do my hair too? and when you are done, i can do your hair!" she beamed while bringing the box of hairpins towards you. you glanced down at the box and nodded your head, lifting your eyes back up at her with a smile. the child beamed more as she sat down in front of you, her back facing you and the box was in her lap.

"what kind of hairstyle would you like?" you questioned, gently gathering every strand of soft hair from her head.

"surprise me!"

you hummed, wondering what kind of hair style you should do. you weren't professional at doing hair so you decided to do to high pig tails, with two thin strands falling beside of her face. though you were tying up her hair, your thoughts were occupied with how you would tell them all that you didn't want to marry reiner. you knew that your father would rage and holler at you, but at this point, you didn't care anymore.

after you finished tying your little cousin's hair into high tails, she gave you a couple hairpins that she wanted in her hair and you clipped them in. since she had a small mirror in the box, she picked it up and looked at herself, smiling and giggling.

"thank you (y/n)! time to do your hair now!" she said and you watched as she stood up. since you were sitting on a couch, the little girl climbed on it and stood behind you while you had the box of her items on your lap. she wasn't technically going to braid or tie up your hair or anything, she just clipped in random hairpins that you gave her.

"so (y/n)," one of reiner's aunts called out to you, catching your attention and the others adults. she placed the cup of tea she had in her hands back down onto the plate she held in the other before continuing, "what are the honeymoon plans after the wedding?"

eyes were now on you, some glancing at reiner before back at you. awkwardly laughing, you told yourself that this would be the chance to finally tell them. with all of the courage you had in you, your mouth opened.

"i have something—" you started but reiner quickly cut you off before you could even finish your sentence.

"we plan on going to fiji, since (y/n) had always wanted to go there ever since she was a little girl," reiner said with a little laugh and a few others laughed too, agreeing that it was the place you dreamed of going when you grew up. it pissed you off at how he interrupted you like that and you saw him glance at you, as if he knew what you were going to confess.

"actually—" you spoke again, but another aunt interrupted you this time.

"oh! one of my friend's father owns a luxurious resort there! maybe i can help you both reserve a special room with vip access!" she said as her attention was set on reiner who nodded his head with a grin.

"that would be wonderful aunt lucy," reiner chuckled as his grin was kept on his lips, you gave the male a quick glance. with all of this chatter about your wedding and honeymoon, a chance to speak about your feelings wouldn't be possible.

"i can't wait for my grandchildren!" reiner's mother beamed with happiness, a smile on her face as the thoughts of children running around, laughing, playing and calling her grandmother pondered in her mind. "i already have so many gifts and other sweet surprises planned! oh how i wish the wedding would come sooner!"

"i think (y/n) is going to have a baby boy first!" one of your little cousins beamed with a large smile as they approached you, pressing their hands on your belly as if you were pregnant.

you uncomfortably laughed, ruffling the hair of your young cousin. honestly, when will they shut their mouths and let you speak?

"no! she will have a girl!" one of reiner's younger cousins approached beside of the other, gently smacking your little cousin's hand away from your belly and pressed her hand there instead. "their baby will be my best friend!"

"no! my best friend!" your little cousin cried and the two girls standing in front of you glared at each other.

one of your older male cousins snickered, "watch her have both."

"so like, twins?" your little cousin said as she turned her head to him and tilted her head, the boy nodded his head with a smile. then she turned back to you, "maybe we can start thinking about baby names!"

"aha! reiner junior!"
"that's so ugly!"
"no it's not!"
"yeah it is!"
"okay, what about eren?!"

your head jolted up when you heard that name, your eyes focused on the two girls ahead of you who were bickering about the names. how in the world did one of them come up with eren's name? even reiner noticed the mention of that name and glanced at you, he saw the expression you had on your face and scoffed.

"where did you get that name from?" you questioned, chuckling normally so you wouldn't sound as weird.

"it's the guy from the titans attack show! eren kruger!" your cousin said with her little smile and you sighed. you had forgotten about that show that had been going around recently and the kids were extremely addicted to it.

you looked down, sighing again before listening to the two girls argue about names. ymir, who had been silent the whole time, noticed how your mood drastically changed during the moments of talking about the wedding. the other adults continued to chat about your wedding and other things after it, questioning you and interrupting you whenever you thought you had the chance to speak.

"can you all, please, just shut up and listen to me?!" you hollered out, making a few gasp as they turned to look at you. according to your father, shouting like that wasn't appropriate for a lady, so he glared at you. reiner was also looking at you, quite shocked.

"(y/n), dear, what's gotten into you?" reiner's mother questioned, sounding concern and you cleared your throat.

"there's been something on my mind lately— actually no, for a very long time now. ever since this stupid engagement started," you spat and everyone went quiet, their gazes still upon you and you stood up. "i.. i don't want to marry reiner. i want to break off this engagement, i don't care what any of you say," you confess, scanning your eyes around at each and every single one of them.

"(y/n)—" your father hollered but reiner laughed, earning everyone else's attention including yours. you raised an eyebrow and watched as the hazel eyed male stood up.

"i can't believe you guys believed that!" reiner said through his laugh, making a few others chuckle awkwardly while exchanging glances. reiner walked over to you, an arm extending out so that it could wrap around your waist. "(y/n) and i were planning on messing with you guys, it was all a joke, don't worry! my plan too, please do forgive me," reiner said and they all sighed in relief— except your mother and ymir.

they all laughed suddenly and you glared up at reiner. this fucking asshole, you said to yourself and reiner's grip around your waist tightened and he pulled you closer to him.

"(y/n)'s tired right now, so i'll escort her back to her room," reiner added, beginning to walk and started dragging you along with him. you didn't resist, even though you badly want to. the others just nodded their head, watching as the both of you left before carrying back into chatting.

when you and reiner were out of their sight, you propelled yourself out of his grip and faced him, an intense glare still situated on your face and reiner rolled his eyes. the male reached out to grab your wrist, his grasp was firm and since he was much stronger than you, you couldn't break free.

reiner began to drag you up the stairs and towards your room. he opened your bedroom door, entering it and shoving you forward so that you stumbled towards your bed, falling on your knees and hands. reiner closed the door behind him, his flaming gold eyes still pinned on you.

"what the fuck was that back there?! are you trying to embarrass me in front your family and mines?" reiner raised his voice and you turned your head to look up at him.

you stood up, your eyebrows furrowing down furiously at the male. "you know what? yeah i was, what are you going to do about it? besides, it's all true, i don't want to marry you," you hissed and crossed your arms.

"you have no choice," reiner said and you rolled your eyes.

"fuck you and that choice shit, fuck all of you. nobody is going to decide on my happiness, i get to choose what i want for myself," you spat. your body was fuming with pure rage, earlier you felt nervous to speak about this and now you were glad you let it out, but reiner ruined it all. "i'll repeat myself, i'm not going to marry you, reiner. i'm going to marry the man i love, the one that you look down on for no fucking reason and that man is eren yeager."

reiner stood there, having a completely stunned reaction. his hands turned into tight fist and his expression quickly changed into fury as he stomped towards you.

"you what?" reiner said and you stood still in your place, you weren't afraid of reiner and you would fight back against him if you had to.

"you heard what i said," you retorted, your glare still fixated up at him.

"so, you've been cheating behind my back with eren?!" reiner scowled as he stepped closer to you to the point that your faces were inches away. "how could you possibly trust someone like him?! and after all i did for you, this is what you do?!"

"you did absolutely nothing for me!" you pushed him back with all of your strength and watched as he stumbled a bit. "i— i liked you for all of those years we've known each other and in the end, you threw me to the side and treated me like some garbage that wasn't disposable!" you shouted, you didn't care if the ones downstairs heard, everything you spoke is all true.

tears formed in your eyes as reiner stood there, listening. "i thought that i would never be able to experience what true love was like after being treated terribly from you— but i was wrong, when i met eren, everything changed. i finally knew what it felt like to be loved by someone and what it felt like, to be treated with respect.." your voice stammered and cracked throughout your speech, and you soon found yourself crying.

"the one who gave me that is eren," you added while sniffing, quickly wiping your hot streamed tears away.

reiner's expression throughout the entire time didn't change, he stepped forward towards you again and his hands grasped firmly on your shoulders, making you gaze up into his furious eyes.

"i don't care," reiner spoke, making your heart drop. "i don't give a shit on how much you love and want to marry eren. you are marrying me, and that's final," he finished before pushing you down onto the bed with his hands.

"i'll go teach that yeager asshole a lesson," reiner said as he turned around, slowly beginning to walk towards your bedroom door. you shot him a look and you both made eye contact.

"you won't win, eren's stronger than you think," you said and reiner only laughed.

"oh, i don't think so (y/n)," reiner said after he finished laughing, making you grow quite worried and afraid. you knew he was planning something. but reiner already left the room, not allowing you to say anything.

ahaha spoiler i guess but to clear up some confusion on the last chapter, you and eren did not go to high school together. but he did see you when he visited the high school you attended for a soccer game so yeah, hopefully that makes more sense 😍
