↬ "TAKE ONE MORE STEP AND I'LL BLOW THE BRAINS OUT OF EREN."

"woah! reiner! put the gun away!" you heard jean call out but reiner pulled another gun out from his pockets, pointing at jean causing the crowd to grow even more terrified and gasp. "what the fuck man, are you insane?!" jean angered out, raising his hands up and gesturing him not to shoot.

"yeah, maybe i am," reiner snickered, then his eyes were on you. "if you move, i'll shoot both your precious friend and prince charming. so if you don't want anything bad happening to them, it's best if you say your i do."

your heart was pacing faster and faster upon seeing the two guns— pointing at eren and jean, two most important people in your life. your body was overwhelmed with hesitation, your feet were glued onto their exact position and sweat dripped down your back. the tension in the room grew more intense and petrifying, most of the guest were huddled together and covering their faces and ears, shedding tears from the thought of reiner triggering the gun.

"reiner.. put the gun down," bertholdt's soft voice appeared suddenly from beside, since he was one of reiner's groomsmen, he saw everything happen right in front of him. along with sasha, pieck and annie.

"shut up, bertholdt," reiner hissed at his friend and bertholdt swallowed hard, his eyes kept focused on the two guns that were in reiner's possession.

eren's gaze on reiner tightened as he also lifted up both of his hands. a situation like this was difficult to get out of and reiner had two guns in the both of his hands, he could cause a very unpleasant scene if he fired them. eren wished he could do something, and mikasa who was afar, still near the door of the room was also standing still in her place. she was also expressing anxiety and her mind was racing with thoughts of what to do.

"w-wait! reiner, this isn't like you!" historia suddenly spoke as she ran out of her seat and towards you and reiner. everyone gasped and eren couldn't even stop her, reiner stared at her but he didn't point a gun at her. you saw terror in historia's eyes but she still was brave enough to speak against reiner. "please, put the gun down and stop this! you're— you're mentally not okay right now and you need help! this isn't the way of settling things!" she cried out.

"yeah reiner, listen to historia! maybe we can work things out, okay?!" bertholdt nervously spoke as he inched himself closer to both you and reiner, it maybe wasn't a good idea at the moment and even eren signaled for him to stop.

you saw reiner's pointer finger land over the trigger of the gun that was pointing at eren, but thankfully he didn't shoot. panicking, you turned to reiner and tried to stop him yourself, "okay reiner! i'll marry you, just please- please, put the gun down!" you begged and reiner glanced at you.

moments later, reiner lowered both guns down and you let out a sigh of relief. everyone else peeked their heads up to see what was happening but the next thing reiner did was completely unexpected.

"i don't believe you. consider this a wedding gift from me to you," reiner spoke lowly, raising the gun back at eren. your eyes widened as you turned your head to him, reaching out for him and calling his name.

reiner fired the gun pointing at eren and everyone screamed and cried with panic as they ducked back down while hiding themselves away from when hearing the gun go off. jean and bertholdt rushed over to reiner as quick as possible, knocking him over and retrieving the guns away from his hands.

everything went by fast and you couldn't reach eren in time but only one person did.

historia.

since she was near eren at the time when reiner shot, her body jolted fast to protect eren from getting shot. you watched as the bullet stroke through her dress and into her stomach, you both made eye contact before her eyes closed and her body fell to the ground.

"h-historia!" you cried out as you went over to her, your hands picked up her unconscious body into your arms and tears began to form in your eyes. "wake up, historia! don't do this, stop! open your eyes!" you pleaded out to her.

eren was just as stunned, his body didn't move as his eyes were glued on you and historia. you continued to cry out for the girl to wake up, but she wouldn't and you were getting scared. even though you weren't as close with her, you still considered her a precious friend.

"(y/n)-" eren called out to you, but was suddenly interrupted.

loud footsteps marched into the church hall and everyones gazes turned to see what was happening. police men marched in, shouting and gesturing for the guest to make their way out of the church and guided them as they ran out in panic.

your father even ran out and your mother came to your side, trying to pull you away from historia who was currently now being aided by the police and taken away quickly to a nearby hospital. you cried in your mothers shoulders before you saw ymir walk in, her eyes widening at the scene and her eyes followed historia out of the church.

"reiner braun," a police spoke as he walked up to reiner who was currently pinned down onto the ground by both jean and bertholdt. he pulled out his badge and continued, "you are under arrest for the attempted murder of eren yeager and for shooting an innocent young woman just now."

"w-what's the meaning of this?!" reiner's mother called out in tears as she walked up to them, two other policemen went to reiner, taking him into their own hands and handcuffing him.

"you heard what i said miss, take him away!" the policeman ordered and reiner was guided out of the church with his mother following after, pleading and crying for them not to take her son away.

when reiner walked pass you, you both made eye contact. the same threatening look in his eyes still remained there and it sent you chills down your spine as your gaze trailed after him, watching as he was forced into the back of the police car and driven away.

the overwhelming sensation of anxiety returned and your eyes met with eren's. the male was about to reach for you but you felt your eyes close and the last thing you heard was eren's voice, calling out for your name.

whenever you woke back up, you found yourself in a hospital room— again. your body was again covered in a hospital gown and the sound of a vital monitor beeped from beside of you. you quickly raised your body up, jolting your head around and saw your mother beside of you.

she cried, "oh (y/n)! you're finally awake! thank goodness, thank goodness!" your mother pulled you into another long hug as she cried more and more.

you pulled away, a frown on your lips. "i'm sorry mom— wh- what happened though?! how long has it been?!"

"only a few hours, don't worry," your mother answers, wiping away her tears as you looked at each other in the eyes. a sigh of relief escaped your lips and your mother continued, "the doctor told us that you passed out from shock and that you would wake up soon."

"but what about historia?! is she okay?!" you questioned, your hands were trembling from the images of what happened earlier at the church and it all raced in your mind again. eren— also appeared in your mind, and you looked around the room, wondering where he was.

"historia is alright, she just lost a lot of blood but she will be okay, i promise. you can see her soon," your mother answered and you couldn't help but shed tears, a wave of ease filling your body. you then felt your mother's hand resting on your shoulder, making you look back up at her. "eren's outside with the others in a seating area. he's waiting for you," she spoke softly, making your eyes widen and you quickly got yourself off of the bed.

your mother didn't stop you though, she watched as you pulled out the tubes that stuck into your arm and rushed out of the room, sliding the door open and running in the direction of the seating area. it was the fastest you ever ran before, you pushed yourself through other patients and nurses but you didn't care about them or what they said whenever you brushed by. eren was the only person you wanted to see right now.

from afar, you could see eren with mikasa, armin, jean, sasha and connie. they were grouped together, chatting with worried expressions and the first person to see you approaching them was armin. whenever he lifted his head up, everyone did too, turning their attention towards the direction armin was peering in.

"eren!" you finally were able to holler out your lover's name, as tears streamed down your cheeks.

without hesitation, eren began running towards you too. "(y/n)!" he cried out and his vision was soon covered in his own tears and he blinked, causing them to fall down his face. a smile— with relief and bliss, curved on his lips.

your body's collapsed against each other's. your arms quickly went around him, your face burying into the crook of his neck while his snaked around your waist, lifting you up off of the ground to hold your body close to his as he possibly could. the hug lasted for a moment, before you pulled away and gazed into his sparkling, emerald green eyes that were full of joyful tears. your hands cupped his cheeks and you immediately pressed your lips against his, going in for a kiss that he instantly returned back.

the rest watched with smiles and tears, this reunion was what they all needed— but, it was what you and eren both needed the most.

the kiss was passionate, full of love and desire after not being able to be together like this for a long while. you pulled away first, laughing softly in which made him laugh too and then you both went back for another loving kiss.

connie cleared his throat, inching his face close to the group and whispered, "shouldn't we like.. stop them? at this point they're about to make out in the hospital halls!"

mikasa gently nudged him and sasha glared at connie, making him pout. "quiet! don't you see that an extremely wonderful and exquisite scene is happening!?" sasha hissed, curving her arm around connie's to make him turn back to look at the couple who were still continuing their kiss.

you and eren pulled away again, panting softly and you felt your body being lowered back down to the ground. eren still held you close to him, as if he wouldn't be able to ever hold you in his arms again.

"(y/n).." eren mumbled your name out, one of his hands reaching up to hold your cheek while the other kept around your waist. his soft fingers brushed against your cheek, slowly traveling down towards your chin. "my beautiful darling.. i missed you so much, you know that?" he spoke quietly through his tears and you nodded your head.

"i missed you so much more, eren," you said, lowering your gaze and eren frowned, knowing how much pain it must've been for you whenever he lost his memories of you. "i missed you so fucking much that— i felt like my heart was going to rip out into pieces," your tears continued to fall out and eren brushed them away with his thumb.

"i'm sorry, darling," eren apologized, lifting your chin up to make you look back at him. "please forgive me for being late again.. but, i'm here now and i will never ever leave you again. i promise," he added in and you sniffed.

"promise?" you repeated and eren nodded his head, giving you a soft smile.

"i promise with my entire life," eren whispered, connecting your foreheads before pulling out a box from his pocket. he opens the box and you see the ring inside. "after all of this is over, let's get married.. and finally start a new life together."

you bobbed your head, blinking more tears out as eren slides the ring on your finger, "i love you, eren."

"i love you more, (y/n)."
