"Oikawa!" Daichi yelled as he ran outside, he quickly reached the boy who seemed to be in a trance of some sort, his eyes were focused on the ocean.

"Oikawa, is everything okay?" Daichi shook his body and he finally snapped out of it.

"What's happening?" he panicked a bit, he looked around trying to remember what happened.

"When we woke up, you were gone and Bokuto saw you through the window. Why are you here so early? And why are you in the water?" Daichi kept asking him. Oikawa was standing in the water,it reached his knees.

As his eyes landed on a big and flat stone, he remembered what happened. He wasn't going to tell the others, they would call him an idiot. To be honest, he didn't know whether or not that merman was a reality or a dream.

"Sorry, I went out early.. Had a weird dream" Oikawa lied. Daichi inspected the scene a bit more until he noticed something. The mark on his chin was missing.

"The mark is gone. That's good, now come on, let's make ourselves some tea" Daichi dragged the other out of the water and they both went into the house.

Oikawa couldn't focus on anything though, he could still feel it's touch on his skin.

"Here's your tea. Maybe you should rest today? We'll go exploring without you, you should sleep" Bokuto said as he placed a cup of hot tea on the table. He couldn't help but notice how unfocused Oikawa was, he must be tired.

"Yeah.. Maybe I should rest. You guys don't mind, right?" Oikawa asked as he took a sip of his tea, he really needed a break. Diving into that area now made Oikawa feel a bit weird and scared.

"We won't. Your health is more important. Bokuto will dive into the deeper area today, I'll monitor him so don't worry about it" Daichi patted his shoulder and gave him a reassuring smile.

Bokuto was a bit sad that Oikawa wouldn't be diving today, but that also gave him an opportunity to dive deeper. Unlike Oikawa he didn't take special courses.

They waited till Oikawa drank his tea and walked upstairs, he fell asleep in an instant and Bokuto left the house.

"As always, take a swim now while I get the yacht ready" Daichi said and Bokuto nodded. He quickly took off his t-shirt and shorts and ran into the water, it was rather warm and even clearer than yesterday.

He walked in slowly, letting his body adjust to the temperature. The sandy bottom felt nice, unlike other beaches that he has been too. They all had stones and garbage, while this one was pure golden sand.

He caught himself standing in the water for too long, fish had surrounded his legs. They were colorful and magical. He walked in a bit deeper and started swimming, soon Bokuto couldn't reach the bottom that easily.

He spent a bit more time just floating around, his mind wandered off to Oikawa who seemed to be out of place. He was always loud and making weird remarks, and yet since their first diving mission he seemed weird, quiet and unfocused.

Bokuto soon heard Daichi call him and he swam to him. He climbed into the yacht and saw Daichi preparing his gear.

"Okay, you're diving near the so called Endless Bottom. It's very deep so be dangerous, if you start feeling that your body can't take it - dive out" Daichi said, he always said that.

"Okay okay, I'll be cautious" Bokuto nodded and put on his diving gear.

It took them a couple of minutes to get to the right place. Bokuto inhaled deeply and gave Daichi a sign before falling backwards into the water and letting the new place surround him.

Clear water showed him how deep the place was and what type of life he will find there. The place was filled with rocks and caves. Obviously, Bokuto couldn't explore the caves without Daichi's permission.

He noticed a few fish species, a few coral species, but they were all known. He wanted to find something new.

A sudden shadow disturbed the waters in one of the caves. Bokuto knew, he knew that he cannot dive into dangerous caves without proper equipment and additional oxygen, but that shadow was too big to be a regular fish, he had to see what it was.

Before he could dive into it, the same shadow appeared in another cave. This time Bokuto saw a beautiful dark blue fish tail.

"Bingo" he thought to himself before swimming closer to it.

He could see the tail in his view, if only he could get closer to it and add a tag, they could monitor where it goes and what it eats.

Bokuto thought that it would go lile this, but it moved out of the cave and swam closer to Bokuto. The rays of sun got through and into the water, it illuminated the most beautiful face that Bokuto has ever seen.

Like a dream, he looked like a dream. His black hair, his pale skin, his dark green-blue eyes. Instead of legs he had a long blue-black fish tail.

Bokuto didn't freeze up, he was too courageous for that. He swam closer and soon they were facing eachother. It's hand reached out and touched Bokuto's cheek.

His touch felt real.

Was this the same thing Oikawa talked about? Maybe it wasn't an illusion after all.

The creature then took Bokuto's hand, he brought it up to his lips and placed a small kiss on it. A dark blue mark appeared there, it didn't hurt, it made Bokuto feel relaxed.

He looked straight into it's eyes and before he knew it a voice echoed through the ocean.

"Quite brave, aren't you?"
