Nat was walking with you as your cars were both parked beside each other. "So, you excited for Pete's high-school reunion?" you asked, and she clapped her hands with a smile.
"Oh, I'm so excited, Y/N/N! I can't wait to see all his old friends, and for them to tell me all the stupid stuff he did back then!" she exclaimed, linking her arm with yours. "What do you have planned for tonight?" she smirked, and you shrugged.
"I don't know. Dallas texted me that he's at my place. We're probably gonna watch some movies, make some dinner, maybe do a little- you know," you said, bumping your hip with hers, causing her to giggle.
"Well, I wish you the best of luck. And remember, you love Dallas," she said, and you gave her a confused look.
"Wait, Nat, what do you mean-"
"BYE, Y/N/N!" she yelled, dashing into her car, and speeding off, leaving you flabbergasted. You shook your head, chuckling as you started the engine of your own car, driving to your house.
You arrived at your house, sighing as you glanced over at Nat's old home next to it. You truly missed having the bubbly blonde as your neighbor.
Shrugging off the feeling, you closed the door of your car as you stretched your arms over your head. Your top lifted a little, revealing your stomach, adorned with a belly button ring you had gotten back in college. The sounds of boyish gasps alerted you, snapping your gaze over to the adjacent house. Rolling your eyes, you waved "Hi Sean, Adam, Nick."
You had finally learned the names of the little perverts you always caught staring at you for four years straight. You found it slightly endearing. Slightly. Sean was one of your neighbors, and his little friends always stayed at his house. Adam and Nick numbly waved back, mouths still agape as Sean sent you a sheepish smile. You chuckled, fishing out your keys, and going to unlock the door, but you stopped short when you found it already unlocked. You turned around and couldn't see Dallas' car in the driveway.
So, Dallas isn't here...
Slowly and quietly, you opened the door, finding all the lights off. You shut the door with little to no sound, then edged along the walls. Suddenly, you heard muttering, and you stepped forward, finding a figure by the couch. You shrieked, jumping onto the person's back. They grunted in response, and you dug your knee into their back. You lifted your other hand to the table where a lamp sat, turning it on. You let out a startled gasp when you discovered your boyfriend at your knee.
"Oh, sweetie!" you exclaimed as he coughed out a breath. You quickly got off him, helping him up as you held onto his cheeks. "Baby, I'm so sorry. The door was unlocked, and I didn't see your car, so I thought someone broke in, and I'm- I'm so sorry," you sighed. He shook his head, holding onto your forearms.
"It's okay, Y/N. Don't apologize for-," he heaved a breath, another cough escaping. "Defending yourself."
You broke out into a smile, shaking your head as you softly chuckled. He looked down at you with that gorgeous grin and you leaned in close, pressing your lips to his, your arms looping over his neck as his snaked around your waist. But he parted too quickly, and as you leaned in for more, he stopped you, "Honey, honey, honey, as much as I would love to do that, there is something far more important I need to do," he whispered, forehead flush against yours.
You leaned back, eyebrows furrowed as he released you from his hold, turning around and shaking his body. You rolled your eyes to the side in confusion as he turned around, letting out a breath. "Y/N, you know I love you, right?" he asked, and you nodded slowly. "And you love me too?"
"Yes, dummy," you smiled, and he exhaled again, taking your hands into his larger, callous ones, a smile dancing at his lips.
"And, when two people are in love..." he trailed off, looking at your joined hands. "They tend to some pretty crazy shit."
You giggled, raising your eyebrows, and smiling up at him. "And what does that crazy shit entail?"
"How about marrying me?"
Your smile fell as your jaw dropped, eyes going wide whilst he looked at you expectantly. "What?" you managed to whisper.
"Marry me, Y/N. I love you so much, and I wanna get down on one knee-." He proceeded to do so, kneeling down on the carpet floor as he gazed up at you. "And ask you to marry me. So please, Y/N, or I'll have to put this ring in a drawer for a while until I ask you again-."
"Yes."
He stopped, eyes widening. "What?"
"Yes, Dallas."
"You mean it?"
"Of course. I love you way too damn much to say no," you replied with a soft smirk. He returned the smile, taking out a light blue velvet box. When he opened it, you stopped short at the gorgeous white-gold ring, with a large clear oval cut diamond. You let out a soft gasp, before snapping your gaze to his. He held the ring up, then took hold of your hand, slipping it on your finger. As he pressed a kiss to it, you leaped into his chest, wrapping your entire body around his as he let out a surprised laugh, stumbling back a bit. You smothered his face in kisses, before placing a passionate one to his lips. You felt his mouth curve into a smile as his hand slithered up your neck, stroking his thumb along your cheek. Pulling away, you innocently blinked up at the man before mumbling against the shell of his ear, "You showed me how much love me. I wanna do that now... In bed."
"Lucky bastard..." Sean muttered, glaring at Dallas as he watched you whisper in the blonde's ear, Adam and Nick nodding in agreement.
