ADELAIDE WAS SAT IN THE BEDROOM OF HERS AND ALEC'S APARTMENT. She just needed some space after she had talked to everyone. Especially finding out that Lilith was attached to her. It isn't everyday that you have a connection to the literal queen of hell.

A knock on the door makes her look over, seeing Isabelle standing there. The girl had a soft smile on her face but Adelaide only brings her gaze down to her hands. "Hey." She says as she closes the door behind her. "Can I talk to you?" She asks but Adelaide just stays silent, fiddling with her fingers. "Or I can talk and you can listen." Isabelle corrects as she takes a seat beside the girl. She lets out a sigh as she glanced at Adelaide. "Look, this is a lot of news for anyone to take in. It's okay if you feel like screaming or crying or smashing every single thing in this room." She states, laughing lightly as she offered a comforting smile. Adelaide nods her head slowly, biting the inside of her cheek.

"I'm sorry." She says, her voice weak as she felt horrible for what she had done to her. Adelaide hadn't meant to, it had just happened and there was no taking it back. But Isabelle just shakes her head, resting her hand on top of her knee.

"Adelaide, you don't have to apologize for that." Isabelle assures her as she didn't hold it against her. "Especially now that we know that Lilith is in your head." She adds but adelaide only shakes her head.

"But-"

"No buts. End of discussion." Isabelle says as she holds up her hand.

"I just don't feel like I should be trusted anymore." Adelaide admits as she felt like she would do something else. And that she would actually go through with it this time.

"It's not like Lilith can see what you're doing. She's just trying to mess with you." Isabelle points out as the demon just wanted to play with her like she was doing with Jace.

"But that part of her that's inside of me, I can feel it, taking me over sometimes." Adelaide admits and Isabelle nods, understanding what she was getting at.

"You mean when you attacked me." She says and Adelaide nods her head

"I just don't know what to do." Adelaide replies with a sigh as she leans over, resting her elbows on her knees.

"Surely, Magnus can figure out a spell to get her out." Isabelle states and Adelaide bites her tongue. She knew there might be a way but Magnus was focusing on Jace and she didn't want to take away from that.

"Yeah, maybe." She mutters as she stares at the ground. Isabelle only sighs as she gets up from the bed, turning to her.

"Get up." Isabelle demands as she gestures for the girl to stand up.

"What?" Adelaide asks confused as she just stared up at the girl.

"Come on, get up." Isabelle says as she grabs her hands, pulling her off of the bed. Adelaide only furrows her eyebrows.

"Iz, what are you doing?" She questions and Isabelle just smiles at her as she drops her hands by her side.

"Scream." Isabelle tells her and Adelaide only rolls her eyes, glancing to the wall.

"No, I don't want to." Adelaide responds and Isabelle only groans, looking up at the ceiling for a moment.

"You can't let her get to you, you can't let your emotions build up and play games." She explains to Adelaide who only looks at her, unsure.  "Scream." Isabelle says yet again but Adelaide just shakes her head.

"Iz-" She starts to interject but the Lightwood doesn't let her.

"Scream!" Isabelle shouts before letting out a scream herself. Adelaide just shakes her head, backing up but Isabelle grabs a hold of her hands, keeping her there. She screams again, staring at Adelaide who squeezes her eyes shut.

Adelaide let's out a scream, it's as if every emotion she felt channeled through it and released from her body. She cries as she lets out another scream, bending over as she lets her head hang. Isabelle wraps her arms around the girl, bringing her in close as the girl sobs in her arms.

ADELAIDE WAS AT ALEC'S DESK IN HIS OFFICE, sitting in the chair as she scrolled through countless pages, trying to find a way to get rid of Lilith. She sighs as she hits another dead head, rolling her eyes and resting back against the chair. "We're heading off to Alicante." Alec's voice hits her ears and she only nods her head, rubbing her eyes.

"Be safe." She tells him as he makes his way over to her. Leaning over her shoulder, he looks at the screen.

"What exactly are you doing?" Alec asks curiously as he reads the words but he didn't really make sense of any of it.

"Magnus is figuring out a way to cure Jace so until he's free I'm trying to find a spell myself." Adelaide explains to him as she closes the page that she was on because it was completely useless to her.

"A spell?" He questions and she only lets out a sigh.

"To get rid of Lilith." She tells him and he nods his head.

"Any luck?" Alec asks.

"No, but you're distracting me." Adelaide points out as she rests her chin in the palm of her hand. Alec can't help but laugh at her words.

"Oh, I'm distracting you?" Alec teases as he raises an eyebrow at her. Adelaide nods her head, glancing up at him.

"Mhm." She hums before moving her eyes back to the screen in front of her.

"Aren't you always the one coming to my office when I'm working?" He tells her as he puts his hand on her shoulder.

"Thats work, this is life or death." Adelaide replies and Alec only chuckles, shaking his head.

"I'll use that excuse the next time you bother me then." He says with a smirk and Adelaide only raises an eyebrow as she looks back at him.

"And we both know you still won't be able to resist my charm." Adelaide taunts him and he only squints his eyes at her.

"Kiss me." Alec says as he leans towards her, putting his hand on her thigh. Adelaide playfully rolls her eyes.

"Stop it." She mumbles as she pushes him back. Alec only smirks as he moves closer to her, pressing his lips to her ear.

"Kiss me." He whispers making her giggle a little as she moves away from the man.

"Go away." Adelaide says with an amused smile on her face but Alec only leans in once again.

"Kiss me." He had a huge smile on his face but she only moves towards him.

"What if I don't want to?" She teases him as she raises her eyebrows at him. Alec moves closer to her, their lips hovering over one another.

"You don't?" He asks and she bites her bottom lip, meeting his eyes.

"No.." Adelaide says but this causes Alec's smirk to grow.

"You hesitated." Alec responds as he brushes his lips over hers and she has to pull herself back.

"I do not.." Adelaide stops herself as she turns away from him. "Just leave already." She scolds him as she just shakes her head. Alec chuckles as he presses a kiss to the top of her head.

"I'll see you when we get back." He says and she nods. Alec stares at her for a moment before letting out a groan. "Seriously, no goodbye kiss at least?" Alec asks her and she only rolls her eyes before standing up and pulling him down. She kisses him passionately, making him stumble forward lightly. Alec kisses her back with the same amount of intensity, his hand moving down to her hips. Adelaide moans against his lips before pulling away from him. Alec just opens his eyes, staring back at her, breathless.

"That was some goodbye kiss." He mutters as he stares down at her and Adelaide smirks.

"Mhm." She hums as she bites her bottom lip. Alec only smiles as he pulls her close, about to lean down again when someone interrupted them.

"Alec." Alec glanced over, seeing his sister standing at the door with a hand on her hip. "You coming or are you too busy swapping saliva." She teases him and he only rolls his eyes.

"I'm coming." Alec says as he glanced at his sister. Isabelle only smirks at him before leaving the room. Alec looks back at Adelaide for a moment, brushing his thumb over her cheek. She only smiles at him before he presses a kiss to her forehead and follows after his sister.

FLIPPING THE PAGE OF THE SPELL BOOK SHE FOUND ,Adelaide was about ready to give up. Every spell that she looked at, every single page, none of it had what she needed. It seemed that having a piece of a greater demon inside of you didn't really happen often. She lets out a long sigh as she stared at the page in front of her. But her eyes widen when she skims over the words. Adelaide closes the book for a moment, reading over what it was called.

"The book of Maritza?" Adelaide mumbles out as she traces her finger along the name. She had never seen it before and had definitely never used a spell from it. But as she reopened the book, looking back at the page, she knew she could use this spell to get Lilith out for god.

Taking out her phone, she calls Magnus, knowing that he'd be able to tell her more information about the book or maybe even the particular spell. "Magnus." She says once he picks up and her voice was frantic which obviously made Magnus assume the worst.

"Buttercup, everything okay?" Magnus asks as he thought that maybe something might have happened with Lilith.

"Yeah, I just need to ask you something." She says and he furrow his eyebrows.

"What is it?" Magnus questions curiously as he stops searching for a spell for Jace for just a second to listen.

"Do you know of the book of Maritza?" Adelaide asks, wanting to know if Magnus had ever heard of it. Maybe he will be able to tell her whether or not it would work.

"It's a very ancient spell book that was used by the prince's of hell themselves, why?" He questions curiously.

"Because there's a spell in it that might be able to help me." She says as she stares at the spell that she had her finger placed on. There was a moment of silence and she could already tell that Magnus didn't like the idea.

"Adelaide, that book is very dangerous. You can't trust it." Magnus states as he sighs, closing his eyes for a moment.

"But I can't find anything else, Magnus." Adelaide tells him with a frustrated groan as this was all they had.

"The spell could do more harm than good." He responds and she only rolls her eyes. He needed to give her an actual reason or else, she would go to Lorenzo for help.

"Like what?" Adelaide asks bluntly as she clenches her jaw.

"Instead of taking Lilith out, it could erase all of your memories. Or it could melt your brain." Magnus says as both of those options weren't any good. Adelaide sighs as she rolls her eyes a little bit.

"Well, it's either try it or kill myself." Adelaide mutters as she didn't know what else to do. If she didn't try, then Lilith's voice was only going to continue and she would rather take herself out of the equation than hurt someone she loved.

"Adelaide." He scolds her in a sharp tone.

"I'm kidding." She replies with a sigh before biting the inside of her cheek.  "Mostly." Part of her was actually wanting to do it, especially if Magnus didn't do the spell.

"Just bring the book to my place, I'll look at it and see if it'll work." Magnus says and Adelaide immediately gets up from the chair, closing the book and bringing it towards her.

"Okay. Any luck with curing Jace yet?" She asks as she needed to know if the man was going to be all right.

"Still working on it." He replies and she only groans before opening a portal.

"Okay, I'm on my way." Adelaide says as she steps into it and within a few seconds, she was stepping in Magnus' living room. Adelaide walks over to him as he gets up off of the couch.

"Let me see it." Magnus says and she just hands him the book. He skims the page over, his jaw clenching. "I don't know.. it sounds risky." He admits but she only sighs, the was the only thing that she could find that was relatively close to what she needed.

"Magnus, please." She pleads as she grabs a hold of his hand. "It's the only choice we have." Adelaide points out and Magnus only looks at her hesitantly. He was about to respond when Alec, Isabelle and Jace pop into the room. Jace was trapped in a blue square.

"Well, this is a surprise." Magnus says as he turns to them. Jace glares at them as he looks around the object that he was trapped within.

"You really think that this can contain me? You're even stupider than I thought." He admits as he lets his eyes roam over the group.

"We're gonna save you, Jace." Alec promised as he needed to get his parabatai back. He didn't push more like he should've and now Jace was locked away behind this demon.

"Good luck. It's only a matter of time before Lilith finds me. Finds you. You'll all be dead by sunrise." Jace states with a scoff as he glares at them.

"I don't think so. We will battle her with everything we've got. We won't let her take you again." Isabelle says as she walks over to him, stopping in front of him.

"When your delusional confidence gets you killed,  I'll be sure to tell your mundane boyfriend that you died in a tragic jewelry making accident." Jace says as he points towards his head, getting annoyed by their optimism.

"At least he's safe from the clave." Alec points out as they didn't need the clave knowing about any of this.

"For the time being." Adelaide says as she crosses her arms against her chest. Jace only stares at her, squinting his eyes

"She's coming for you too." Jace tells her and Adelaide only turns to him.

"Is she now?" She asks as she scoffs, rolling her eyes. "And she had to send her Messenger boy to tell me that? Not just say it in my head?" Adelaide questions and Jace only smirks at her.

"You really don't get it, do you? She wants you. And what she wants, she gets." He states making Adelaide sigh as she brushes her hair out of her face.

"Wants me for what?" She asks.

"To rule alongside her. She's not in your head to mess with you, she wants you to see that you are not at your greatest potential. That the people around you make you weak. You can become a greater demon with-"Jace explains to her but she just suddenly burst out in a fit of laughter.

"I'm sorry, can i-- I'm gonna have to stop you for a moment." Adelaide says as she holds up her hand, trying to cover her smile. "Lilith, wants me to become a greater demon and be on her side? Like a version of evil sisters?" She asks as she laughs loudly, shaking her head. "And you call Izzy delusional." Adelaide mutters as she places her hand on her hip. Jace just scoffs, rolling his eyes.

"So, what's your plan? Kill her." Jace asks her and Adelaide only shrugs her shoulders.

"If that's what it takes." Adelaide retorts but Jace only laughs, shaking his head.

"That part of Lilith that's inside of you, is still a part of her. Kill Lilith, you'll die too." He tells her and Adelaide only takes a step closer to him, her eyes locked on his.

"Then I die." Adelaide states, she wasn't going to let Lilith control him, hurt her friends. If getting rid of her meant she had to die, then so be it. "If it means that we'll get the real Jace back." She says as she glares at him before turning to leave. Alec only grabs her arm to stop her turning her to face him.

"You're not gonna die." He promises her but she only sighs, looking up at him.

"If me dying means we can stop Lilith. Then we-" Adelaide starts but he only cuts her off.

"No!" Alec shouts, not meaning to be so loud but he couldn't let her think this was the best way. "You are not dying." He tells her as he shakes his head. Adelaide goes to say something else but Magnus interjects.

"I'll do the spell." He speaks up making Adelaide snap her head to him. Her eyes widen as she looks at him.

"What?" She asks him.

"It's either do the spell or have to kill you and I'm not about to let you die." Magnus says as he grabs a hold of her hand. Alec looks at them both confused.

"What spell?" Alec asks as he seems to be a little out of the loop. Magnus turns his head to Alec before looking back at Adelaide. She only nods her head.

"A spell to get the piece of Lilith out of her." Magnus tells him and Alec just stared at them both.

"Is it safe?" He asks and Adelaide let's out a sigh.

"It'll be fine, Alec." Adelaide assures him but Alec only looks down at the ground.

"I'll need at least a day to get it ready though." Magnus tells her and she nods her head. She didnt care how long it took, she just wanted it done.

"I don't know about this." Alec says as he shakes his head, he didn't know if he was willing to risk her life. Adelaide sighs as she turns to him, bringing her hands to his

"Alec, it's either this or you will lose me." She tells him and he sighs as he glanced down at the ground. "Look at me." Adelaide says as she places her hands on his jaw, bringing his head up. "I'll be fine." She assures him, pressing a kiss to his lips. Alec still looked a little hesitant but it seemed he was contemplating it.

"Okay." He whispers as he presses his forehead against hers. She only smiles up at him and he rubs her chin with his thumb. Alec connects their lips again, sighing into it. Adelaide kisses him back immediately, wrapping her arms around his neck. Alec deepens it, his hands gripping her hips, pulling her closer as he slips his tongue into her mouth.

Magnus was just stood there, his eyes rolling as he rubs his forehead. Once Alec's hand started to wander lower, Magnus spoke up.
"She's not dying right now, you don't need to give her mouth to mouth." Magnus complains as he crosses his arms against his chest. Alec was mid kiss, his hand groping her before he pulled away from her.  Adelaide only sends the middle finger towards the warlock. Magnus only chuckles before exiting the room.

JACE GLANCED AROUND, bringing his hand up to the forcefield, causing a jolt to his body. He hisses as he clenches his jaw, glancing around. And that's when he saw the group making their way back over to him. "It's no use trying to escape. That trap you're in was designed to hold a greater demon." Isabelle explains to him and Jace only tilts his head, raising an eyebrow at the girl.

"That's not very nice, trapping your brother in a box." Jace says as he pouts at them before a smirk overtakes his features.

"You're not our brother." Alec states as he knew whatever was possessing him, was the thing talking to him. "Don't get too comfortable, cause we'll bring him back." He says and Jace only chuckles, tilting his head back.

"You and your undying love for your parabatai." Jace groans out as he shakes his head. "I hate to burst your bubble, but when I was sent to your family in Idris, I was a desperate kid." He states as he stares at the older Lightwood.

"Pay no mind to him, Alexander." Magnus states as he shakes his head. Alec only nods as he knew that what Jace was saying, wasn't actually coming from him.

"The only reason I became your parabatai was to make sure there was a roof over my head." Jace states and Alec clenches his jaw, looking down at Adelaide who had taken his hand and given it a squeeze.

"He's just trying to get under your skin." Magnus says and Adelaide only rolls her eyes.

"Doing a very bad job too." She states and Jace only moves his eyes towards her.

"Or maybe, I prefer not to coddle your latest midnight boyfriend." Jace retorts and she only glares at him before glancing away from the man.

Luke and Simon walk in, shutting the door behind them which catches their attention.
"

We got your call. Any news about Clary?" Luke asks as he looks around the group. Simon only stares at Jace as he stood in front of them.

"You almost killed her. She gave herself up to the clave trying to protect you." Simon shouts at him, obviously pissed off at him.

"Still jealous she picked me over you, huh? By the way, that kiss at the seelie court, we never got to compare notes." Jace taunts with a smirk on his face as he bites the inside of his cheek. Simon's fists clench as he glares at the blonde man.

"Let me in there, I'll throw you off a building!" Simon goes to charge at the man but Luke stops him.

"Come on." He tells Simon as they all walk into a seperate room to get away from Jace. "The Jace in that trap is not our Jace. We need to focus." Luke states and Simon nods his head, crossing his arms across his chest. "If the clave find out about clarys wish to Raziel, we may never see her again. Do we have anyone at Idris that can give us information?" He asks as he glances at Alec who only lets out a sigh.

"We stole from the claves armory. If they figured that out-" Alec starts as he clenches his jaw.

"Theyre not gonna tell us anything." Isabelle finishes for him as she shakes her head. No way the clave was going to willingly help them anymore.

"What's plan b?" Simon asks as he crosses his arms against his chest.

"I'm gonna try to get some more Intel on Clary. The best thing you can do, go back to that abandoned building and find some clues." Alec tells him.

"I'm not going on a demon hunt while my best friends in prison." Simon scoffs as he shakes his head.

"Simon, Clary risked everything to save Jace. You wanna do something for her? Help destroy the demon that caused all this mess." Isabelle tells him as he looks at her. Simon stares at her for a moment before reluctantly nodding his head.

"I wanna know as soon as you hear anything." Simon says and Magnus only nods his head. Alec stops them, giving them a stern look.

"Hey, no one can find out about jaces possession. If clarys able to keep a lid on her wish, we can't blow it." Alec states as if they didnt have to get in trouble then they wouldn't. Well, it would mainly be Clary who got most of the punishment.

Adelaide just squints her eyes at Simon, looking over his appearance. "So, if I were to punch you right now... What would happen?" She asks as she stares at the vampire. Alec just moved his eyes down to the girl, giving a sharp expression.

"Adelaide." Alec says bluntly and she only shrugs her shoulders. If Simon had some mystery mark, she was just curious what it did.

"I'm just curious, I'm not actually gonna do it." Adelaide replies to him but Luke put his hand on Simon's shoulder, moving him forward.

"Just keep walking, simon." Luke tells him as they begin to leave the office but Adelaide only scoffs, crossing her arms against her chest.

"You know, it's rude not to answer someone's question." Adelaide calls after them but they only ignore her. Magnus let's out a sigh as he leans forward.

"Speaking of Jace, we need to talk." Magnus tells them as he looks towards Alec. The shadowhunter only furrows his eyebrows but he nods his head.
